Many small– to medium-​sized businesses utilize Sterling’s Bookkeeping & Tax Service as their «offsite bookkeeping department.» This includes financial consulting, bookkeeping, tax, payroll, IRS tax resolution, and CFO services. We are here to assist you in growing your business by alleviating you of the burden of administrative tasks. Our services are not «one size fits all». We custom-​design each business package to meet your business needs now, and they are redesigned as you change and grow.

History

Established in 1985.

Sterling’s Bookkeeping & Tax Service was founded by Marc Sterling in Maypearl and then moved to the Oak Cliff area in 1990. In 2005, the company moved to their current location in Dallas, near Fair Park. The first branch office was opened in Hurst in 2010 along with celebrating 25 years of serving the greater DFW area.

Meet the Business Owner

Jon C.

Business Owner

As President of Sterling’s Bookkeeping & Tax Service, Jon oversees the firm’s operations, meets with clients for tax planning, tax return preparation, and business consulting. Jon has been awarded a coveted «DFW Five Star Wealth Manager Award» by Texas Monthly in both 2009, 2010 and 2011. Prior to joining Sterling’s in 2005, Jon worked in corporate accounting, international tax, and tax compliance for Mary Kay, Inc. and YUM! Restaurants International Inc. (KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut). A Texas native from Lubbock, Jon earned his BBA in Accounting from Texas Tech University in 1990, and a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2003. Jon earned his CPA in 1995. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), and is an active member of numerous other professional and philanthropic organizations.
