My wife wanted steak, and we heard great things about this place. Ehhh. Had the 12oz. Cajun ribeye with jalapeño cheese grits and the chicken tortilla soup. The complimentary bread was alright with me even though my wife did not care for it, but I like a yeastier bread. The soup was really good. Had plenty of ingredients in a very flavorful broth. Wish I could have gotten more. I ordered my steak med rare but more on the rare side. They went the other way. Had quite a bit of fat on it, but that is a compliment, not a complaint. There was not much seasoning, but our server got me some extra. The grits were also really good. Creamy with just enough spice and not too cheesy. The reason I am giving it only three stars is because at a steakhouse, you want STEAK!!! It just did not do it for me, a little lacking. But I am willing to go back again, even just for the soup.

One stop and a short walk from Downtown Dallas, and worth the trip. Friendly welcoming staff, and good food.

We had an incredible experience at this restaurant. We were in town for the long weekend and stopped in for dinner. We had the threesome dip(guacamole, spinach and white queso dips) and they all had a nice level of spice… Perfect. We also each ordered the trio(steak, bbq chicken and a skewer of shrimp) and everything was PERFECT. Topped off with a cold beer and it was great. The manager even stopped by our table for a nice chat about Rangers baseball and wrestling. Highly recommend. Cannot beat the price and the quality

I came back for more. Had the Ribs again cause they’re just SO good. Garlic mashed taters with broccoli. Yum. Nice bottle of wine but the best part is the Sticky Toffee Pudding. I shared it last time but it is AMAZING so this time I had it all to myself. Good food, good service — what more do you need?

It’s OK. Been here many times… the problem is that once you have great steak… these are just not going to do it. Service is fair, but could improve… time to get items just took a while on our last visit and our server seemed so rushed when he was there. You get a steak, salad, bread, and a side for less than $ 30 here so it’s not a bad deal… just save this place for a simple meal and set your expectations on the lower end.

We came here while we were in town for the weekend, and with our big party, it seemed like the entrees were hit or miss, but I was really pleased with everything I ate. We started with some queso, spinach dip and guacamole, and I really loved the spinach dip. It had a little bit of spice that gave it a great kick. I had the bacon wrapped filet with a baked potato and a wedge salad, and we shared a side of macaroni and cheese. The salad and sides were so-so, but my steak was delicious. Mine was cooked correctly, but unfortunately that was not the case for a few at our table, so I have to knock it down to three stars. We had a total of 12ish, and two had very undercooked steaks and two had very overcooked steaks. Although the server was attentive and friendly and did a great job for the most part, he didn’t ask us to cut into our steaks to check the temp at any point, which is usually the norm for a steak joint. I wouldn’t be opposed to coming back, but there were definitely a few in my party who were not happy with their meal.

Very disappointed in the 9oz smoked sirloin. It was very fatty and the texture was rubbery. Baked potato was small and not very loaded to say the least. The spicy caesar salad was tasty but had been previously made up and chilled. The bread was fresh and tasty! And our waiter barley said anything to us! NOTGOOD!

Jason was by far the best waiter I’ve had in Dallas in five years. Knowledge of the menu the cuts of meat and how it should be cooked was extraordinary. Many first time experience in the end it up beyond my wildest dreams. Can’t wait to come back

Disappointing. Salad was like lettuce came from packages and had no flavor. Potatoes were average and without enough condiments. Steak was average. .not bad and not great. My dog liked it though.

I had never been here before but I was really surprised at the great HH they had. Seriously will be trying this out soon. Our waiter, Trey(I believe) was super nice and really great. We had a large party of 10 and he took care of us all by himself. The prices were decent and the salad was awesome, but I thought there was WAY too much fat(like literally 2⁄3) on my steak. I frequently have sirloin but it was ridiculous! Overall, worth a try(especially for HH) and decent menu choices/prices.

So this is my first time eating here, and I decided to get it to go. So since obviously I have not eaten at a real steak house I didn’t know the difference between smoked sirloin and topped. But Ronnie the bartender was super awesome and nice and even offered to switch it… lovely dude you must to check him out. Anyway ordered what I wanted and yummy. .I will be back for a dine in experience. .only hope that my waitstaff will be as superb as Ronnie. Do yourself a favor sit at the bar and experience it…

The second we walked in I knew it was gonna be bad. The front of the establishment smelled so bad I wanted to leave. It smelled like dirty bar. Thankfully they sat is towards the middle and we could smell it anymore. However the place was so hot I was a sweaty hot mess. We sat there for at least 5 minutes without anyone bringing water. But finally our waiter came over. He was very nice. Got water and ordered. My salad was nice. And the tortilla soup looked pretty good. I got a half rack of ribs which were severely burned. The bbq sauce was so spicy I could barely enjoy it. THe sweet potato was ok. But lacked flavor even though it had a cinnamon butter on it. How do you mess up a sweet potato? The brussel sprouts were gross. They didn’t taste fresh. Very chewy and either they were frozen or just not prepared right. Probably won’t be back. Needs a facelift and a good clean.

Of all the great steak houses in Dallas this affordable steakhouse has a great selection of hand cut steaks at a great price. I had an excellent and huge bone in ribeye. If you like rare steak get it Pittsburgh style. The iceberg salad with its own dressing was excellent, as good as you can get anywhere. The baked potato was a big mistake, it was dry, overcooked and tasteless. I don’t usually order a baked potato and should have kept that tradition with my steak. All in all if you want a great steak on a budget, this is the spot.

Terriric bone in ribeye. And they know what Pittsburgh means. The iceberg salad with its own dressing was light and fresh. Baked potato — order extra butter and its good. Worth a visit.

I went because they participate in the Hilton Dining Rewards participant and I am grateful that they do that. If you have a Hilton Honors account, you can earn points for each dollar that you spend here. Food: The Bison Burger was tasty. I would probably go to a Ruth’s Chris or Saltgrass before I came here for a steak. Ambiance: Very nice. It’s dark and has a friendly inviting vibe. The walls look good. I like the tables. They also have an outdoor section. Pricing: Expensive. It’s a high dollar steakhouse. Booze: They get an extra star here for having Revolver beer. The wine list looks great. Cocktails are available too. Service: Very good. The bartender was on point. On a busy night I can see this place stepping up. Location: Awesome. Right in the middle of Uptown. They have a nice place that is easily accessible via car, walking or DART(Cityplace/Uptown Station). I wish they had WiFi(no go on that). TVs are scarce too. Overall it’s a fun place. I want to go back and check it out on a weekend night.

Ordered the burger medium but was served rare. Had to ask for drink refills three separate times. Although my experience wasn’t great I was aware of the difficult tables around me. The area we were in is uppity and the clientele is difficult to please. I feel for my and the other waiters near where we were seated. I observed several difficult customers therefore I opted to smile and try to make my waiters life a little easier. This is a job I definitely couldn’t do. Several tables would have walk out wearing what was served.
