This is one of my favorite marathon packet pick up expos I go to all year. It’s very organized, there’s a ton of runner swag and free samples, and you could pretty much stay in there all day(although, if you’re running 26.2 the very next day I do not recommend it). Often times they will sell runner essentials at a discounted rate, and you can pick up your energy gels/last minute race stuff like socks, etc there. Plenty of parking at the convention center and it’s easy to get in and out. A+ on a job well done, Dallas Marathon!

You do not have to run the marathon, half marathon, or even the short mayor’s race to come enjoy and learn a few things! Great health venue! Great value! At an Expo, you can get great deals and some free samples! If you are thinking of getting in shape, here at the Expo is such a great place to start! At the expo is a wide variety of healthy minded booths! From tasting healthy drinks & snacks from a number of different venders! Things to check out: ~ Free sample booths — take a pen & paper so you can write down notes about any products you might like and to purchase later, just in case. Some booths may not have any data to give out.(Boo, but it does happen.) ~ Before you start checking out booths, find a booth that is handing out bags. Get one bag, and thank them! Now you can start your gathering of freebies and healthy knowledge! ~ Be on the lookout for healthy gifts for your healthy minded buddies, hint, hint! He hehe! ~ Wear running gear and running shoes, in case you find a booth that helps with running, or even recovery. ~ Great place to purchase great running shoes at discounted prices. ~ Have a exit plan for your group. ~ Have a meet up place if anyone in your group gets lost! ~ Bring a small healthy snack, just in case. ~ Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! The whole time your shopping or checking out booths, it is important for your body to keep hydrating! ~ Bring a credit card and some extra bills in case you find a fun healthy gift or two! ~ Pickup a running pace bracelet for your pace group if your running. Sometimes the pace group leader will have their pic in front of their group bracelet. ~ Have fun and treat others well!
