History

Established in 1941.

The Kessler was the last movie theater built in the U.S. before the country entered World War II. It has had a diverse history ranging from being owned by legendary Western film star Gene Autry, to being in a fire, and hit by the 1957 tornado.

The current incarnation of The Kessler has been open a few short years and patrons love the design of the venue and the intimate setting with the musical artists.
