The Quixotic World Theatre House

Quixotic is hands down a very sexy venue! There could of been a bit more space for guests to sit comfortably, but I’m not sure if the event hosts set it up like that or the venue itself. Either way… it did not hinder my experience! It was a warm, inviting atmosphere with polite staff and very very nice décor! Drinks were right on point and affordable! I’ll be back!

Eric, Billy and Jeff all did a wonderful job in making my husband’s 50^th birthday party an event to remember. The Quixotic team was helpful and professional. It was a pleasure working with them. I highly recommend this place for any event.

I want to Thank Eric and wonderful staff for helping me give my husband the best birthday party ever. I have nothing but gratitude to you for working with me on my payment plan and organizing my event. You have been so friendly and pleasure to talk to. I cannot say enough about Billy! He took care of so many details that I would not have thought of. He was very tentative to all of our needs and kept constant communication with us. Billy really help me relax and enjoy the party and not stress over small things. Angie and Jeff also did a wonderful job as our bartenders. We did have a hiccup with kegs regulator but they were so professional and helped us work thru it. The venue was absolutely beautiful. People are asking about it on facebook and instagram when they saw party guest pictures. My friends and family who attended cannot stop talking to other people on what a perfect beautiful venue «Quixotic World» is.

This place is really different. My friends had their engagement party here. It was spacious and really magical feeling. The manager Matt was amazing. He was so kind and really attentive. He walked around and made sure all the guest was comfortable. He dressed up with these really high stilts and he walked around and took pictures with us. The bartender was so cool too. He was so nice and was definitely patience with us drunkies. Lol. This place had a really cool stage that you can dance on behind the curtains and it showed up as a silouette figure for the crowd to see. The dance floor was pretty big too. I highly recommend this place for an event if your wanting the magical or circus theme. Ask for Matt the manager… Super awesome time here. I’ll definitely recommend this place!

Man this place is crazy I’ve attended events here manny of times so it would be more of a review on the events than the venue. Most events I’ve attended is either free beer or very cheap that only has to do with the event tho. As for the venue very cool clean restrooms and very easy to get too located right in Deep Ellum. Parking is a hassle but if you ever attend a event is worth a trip.

The staff at the quixotic world went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect for our wedding. They did a great job keeping everyone happy and rearranged the tables and chairs before I even noticed. Great place.

When I was originally looking for a venue for my wedding reception I found this place on Unilocal.I went to visit based on all the good reviews on Unilocal.The minute I stepped in there I new this was the place for me to use. Eric Sacks was as helpful as all the reviews said as well. What a pleasure it was for us to have our reception there. I would totally recommend this place to anyone. We had a blast. Everyone love it!!!

What a cool venue! My company planned our holiday party here. We had over 100 people and needed something large enough and suitable for a variety of tastes. Our aim was for something fun and unique, and The Quixotic definitely served those purposes. The décor is fun and sets an almost Alice in Wonderland type feel. There is a large area that fits plenty of tables and chairs, as well as a good open space for a dance floor. There’s a staircase near the restrooms that leads up to this cute hidden lounge area called the rabbit hole. It has an array of unique chairs and mirrors. We couldn’t hear the music up there, so we didn’t hang for long, but it was definitely an aesthetically pleasing area to relax. They have a DJ booth and sound system of which the owner was gracious enough to let us use to play our own tunes during the event. There is a large stage, complete with a shadow dancing curtain. Also, you have to option of hiring different types of performers/​entertainers to participate in your event. The magician was astounding! We also had a tarot card reader and caricature artist present. These were just a few of the options available for us to choose. The bar staff was friendly and fun and the owner walked around making sure everything was running smoothly. He is very attentive and it’s always nice to see someone who is proud and excited of their venue. Parking can be a little tricky, but it’s definitely not much of a downfall when compared to the perks.

Cute little place off the corner of Malcom and Main. Quixotic World is a great venue for you to throw your party! They have a bar along one wall and even elevated areas for performers or VIP etc. Use your imagination! Get creative!

My friend had her wedding at this venue and we were so impressed by it. NOT only for the venue itself but the amazing staff. The service was unparalleled, the staff was friendly, professional and helpful. It made a huge difference. Highly recommend this place!

I have booked three special events at Quixotic, and Eric is WONDERFUL. Great at communicating, and the place is terrific. It’s in a central location in Deep Ellum with ample parking right across the street, and the building is big enough to house about 100 people without feeling overcrowded. The décor is wonderful for theme parties and really interesting. You can also rent it for private photo shoots, video shoots, etc. They can provide a list of vendors, performers, caterers, etc, anything you need to make your event perfect. Their sound guy helped the band I hired sound AMAZING for one of my parties. Everything was on-​point. The only complaint I have is the price. It is not cheap, which is fine if you’re doing something like a wedding and you budget for something like that, but if you’re looking to throw a birthday party or something a little more low-​end financially, expect to drop around a thousand bucks for a night in Quixotic. Still, it’s worth it… just wish they offered discounts or some kind of specials every now and again.

Crazy and amazing… great venue!

Magical. Vibrant. Colorful. I’m in love with the Quixotic World and convinced that the space is about as beautifully unique as they come. If a fairytale princess, a circus director and a burlesque dancer created an event space, this would be it. So much to see on the walls, floors, ceilings, everywhere! Your eyes will dance about the room each visit and you’ll still discover new things you hadn’t noticed before.
If you’re throwing an event and thinking outside the box, this might be right up your alley. They are equipped with pretty much everything you need (and then some) to ensure that a damn good time ensues. With projector screens on the walls, a gigantic stage (equipped with curtains for shadow dancing), a wired-​up DJ booth, ample vintage sofa seating, and a ridiculously huge bar, what else do you really need? How about a green room? Oh yeah, they have one of those too. Bathrooms? Even those are decked out with beautiful classic décor.
Best of all the owner, Eric, is just as professional as he is fun. This place is his baby and it shows. He is organized, helpful, and takes pride in throwing the best events in the area at his space. Top hat off to him!

Cool venue to host a party at. I came here for a Unilocal event and the space was great. I can see how it’s easily transformable. Having a stage is a plus, as well as a DJ booth. The bathroom were nice and clean. The bar was massive and, if properly staffed, you’d be hard pressed to have to wait for a drink. Parking would be my only concern.

Such a whimsical, weird, and bold venue. I’m actually disappointed that it’s not open every single night for drinks and dancing! But this is a raw space built to meet all of your event needs… wedding reception, birthday party, Bar Mitzvah, concert, live theater, burlesque, you name it. The owner, Eric (who is so sweet and totally on top of everything), is organized and open-​minded. He can make The Quixotic World Theatre House the perfect space for whatever you need.
Keep in mind that this raw space isn’t totally white and bare. Far from it, and so much for the better. All of the walls are a deep, ruby red, garnished with black painted silhouettes. Sit on gaudy furniture with velvet cushions, and feel free to touch all the giant black and red feathers. The aura is very cabaret and over the top, but it’s not trashy in any way. It’s just… whimsical and so fun! There’s a good sized stage for performances (and a Moulin Rouge-​esque green room upstairs for getting ready), a DJ booth, and a huuuge bar waiting to be stocked and staffed for your event. Tables, chairs, props, plants, lights… what do you need? This theatre probably has it.
Like I said earlier, I so wish The Quixotic was open nightly. I’d definitely go grab a drink and hang out, just to be in that environment, hanging out with the door-​man who’s dressed like the mad-​hatter (and is a fantastic dancer to boot). This theatre does hold public events, so there are times here and there where you can walk on in! Otherwise, tell everyone you know to hold their next party here. And then invite me.

I’ve been to a couple of events here and have seen that it makes a fantastic venue for a variety of activities. The sound has a good mix and volume level. The bar is off to one side, but still placed where you can keep an eye on the fun, and the bartenders have mad bottle tossing and drink mixing skills. There is a stage with red velvet curtains and a little upstairs room (a dressing room, I believe) with wingback chairs mirrors and vanity tables off to one side. I look forward to enjoying future events there.

We had a ‘Circus’ theme for our company awards dinner, and WHAT BETTER PLACE than The Quixotic World?! Eric (owner) is incredible! We met with him a couple months before the event to discuss our ‘vision’, and he was able to create a music playlist (yes, he was our DJ as well) that was spot-​on! Knowing that music and venue create the vibe, our team could not quit talking about how PERFECT it was.
We wanted a French circus-​feel. We booked a stilt-​walker that juggles, tarot card reader, magician, aerial performer, and shadow performer through him as well. Note: the shadow performance was very sexual (not like the picture below).if you want striptease, then good. If not, be specific about this.
The bartenders he brougt in were remarkable as well! All-​in-​all, we are beyond PLEASED with the unique vibe he was able to help pull off for a corporate function! Thanks a ton, Eric!

I run a nationwide art organization that curates art shows across the country… I’ve used Quixotic World two times to hold the event… and will soon be back for a 3^rd!
Not only is Quixotic World a fantastic location for an event, but the owner is by far the most friendly and accommodating businessman I’ve come across in my years of renting venues and holding events…
I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to organize a corporate event, wedding reception, concert, art show, or good times event of any kind!
Perks include: Wide open space to execute any job, well crafted performance stage, creative lighting throughout, upstairs VIP/​Green room, red carpet entrance, etc etc…

We shot a music video for my band Frausun at Quixotic World Theatre House over the weekend and it was PERFECT. Eric is fantastic to do business with: professional, polite, always ready to help make your event/​project run smoothly. Lighting is excellent for photos/​videos. Feels like Alice in Wonderland’s playground for props. :)
No matter how good the pics you see online of this venue are, nothing compares to seeing it in person.

Never have I experienced a venue successfully pull of a consistent theme. As most know, a raw space usually denotes a space capable of being turned into whatever the client is envisioning. Whether it’s an elegant gala or casual cook-​off, a raw space must remain a blank canvas for the next person to ‘paint’ on.
Well, Quixotic World is able to not only offer a open and industrial space in Deep Ellum, but somehow weave a mystical theme into the décor as well. Walking into the space you notice the Harlequin, dark red hues and black beams exposing the skeletal structure of the space, but it is not overbearing. I wouldn’t think this space is limited to parties with a burlesque or cirque theme as the subtleties of a Quixotic world are there in the screening of the animated version of Yellow Submarine projecting on the wall or the host (manager) of the space dressed like a cracked out Mad Hatter — it’s all in good fun.
Though, I wouldn’t personally use the space for my wedding reception, I can some people finding it fun and refreshing for that occasion. I would definitely recommend this place for a birthday party, anniversary, prom, networking event… anything really. There is a large bar that lines the East wall and a full service stage that can accommodate any stage set-​up, too!
