The Velvet Snout is the Dallas area’s premier doggie daycare and all-​suite dog boarding facility. We offer dog boarding with luxury suites and spacious dog daycare playrooms. Other amenities include a 720 square foot outdoor fenced area with shadeport cover and synthetic grass for the comfort of your dog. The Velvet Snout specializes in Boarding, Grooming, Groom and Play, Training, and Board and Train for all dogs in a fun and caring environment. We can also board cats! Our facility offers a clean and healthy environment for your dog to play and learn to be with other people and dogs. We provide special care for your dog when you have to be away. If your pup is four months or older then bring your furry friend to us.

History

Established in 2014.

The Velvet Snout started out of a labor of love and of a tremendous desire to put the pet first. It’s for people that are looking for a high quality facility to leave their pet while they travel or are at work. At The Velvet Snout, you will find large play areas with dogs separated by size and temperament and an experienced, professional staff committed to making sure each day at daycare is a fun adventure for your dog.

For over 15 years, Laura was in the sales industry and constantly had a desire to have the best care for her pets while she traveled for work. That was when she decided to start her own business known as The Velvet Snout Canine Adventure Center. Asher, her first German Shepherd, was regularly told she had a «velvet snout,» and Laura decided that would be the perfect name for this unique business.
