Ridiculous how hard it was just to make a brow bar appointment. Called to make an appointment two different times today and was put on hold forever with no one picking up. Won’t be attempting to ever come here again.

This is a complaint about a store associate Brittany.
I understand that I had many returns and exchanges already, but I initially told her and laid out for her all the exchanges I was making. I specifically stated, «this [Smashbox foundation] and this [It Cosmetics brush] and this [NYX lipstick suede] are exchanges, and these are the only returns [two NYC matte lipsticks].» She went on to do whatever she did, and after she gave me the first credit of seventy-​nine something dollars, I had told her it was supposed to be an exchange because now I have to wait some business days to get that money back to my account, and then purchase it again at a later time. She gave me the nastiest attitude from then on. I understand that they were all on different receipts, but I didn’t mind waiting to do them one by one. She didn’t. She wanted everything done all at once, and her bad attitude infuriated me. Also, another employee had the nerve to say, «this is taking longer than I thought.» Well, I wonder why. I’m not one to express poor attitude, and I wasn’t. I calmly explained what I wanted to do. I wouldn’t have minded spending almost an hour for an exchange and a return, but her unkind and super unprofessional demeanor is what got me. I may be young and that’s why she felt she could intimidate me, but in the retail world, customers are priority, no matter the gender or age. Losing patience, I just left everything the way she wanted and let her do her thing. I’ve never been so mistreated and I’ve always had a soft heart for Ulta, but I think for now I’d rather shop at Sephora where they would absolutely go above and beyond for customers’ satisfaction. I’m sorry, but it only takes one really bad experience to shoo customers away.

I love ULTA & often get my hair done by Lizz in the salon. She is very friendly & gives me exactly what I ask for every time ! I also shop often for makeup and the rest of the staff is always attentive and help me find what I’m looking for.

Went in to get a trim a to get the bottom of my hair evened out due to a previous bad hair cut. My hair lady, Sarah, I guess didn’t understand what I wanted and cut off probably 3 – 4 inches on my already short hair and gave me layers which I have never had and did not ask for. My one request that I was very clear about was to not cut my hair too short because I wear my hair up all the time and she cut it too short so now I can’t. Very upset especially with this location and will never get my hair cut here again

I love this location! Friendly staff is always helpful. I’ve been looking for a new hair stylist in the Dallas area. I recently went to the salon for the first time. I got a great cut from Lizz and will definitely be a return customer!

Very rude staff. Too many great places to shop in Dallas to put up with this type of salesmen (in particular)
Quite honestly I am surprised that management has not done something by this point in time. Having enjoyed a lovely meal around the corner I planned on buying all of my nieces and daughter beauty products from Ulta for Christmas. Never mind, I would rather deal with the crowded parking lots of NorthPark. At least the sales people have a smile at Sephora have a warm smile while you shop.

I absolutely love this location. Every time I go in there they are well stocked and everyone is more than willing to help you find what you’re looking for. I love the fact that when you call and request to have something out on hold they find the item and set it off to be held for you. Perfect example, I went in early this morning, bought a Chi straightener that was on sale, I realized what great Christmas gifts these straighteners could be. When I called and spoke to the cashier she picked out the 2 straighteners I wanted and held them all day for me with out asking any other questions. Thank you Jennifer!

I must admit, if you can’t find it here, it doesn’t exist. Ultra is always fully stocked and has plenty of goodies and services available. Their salon has great services at different, moderate prices with a variety of times available for your convenience. Their staff seems knowledgable and friendly, as well. Unfortunately, Ulta lost points in my book for picking and choosing which coupons they will honor. I always have problems with them ‘losing’ a $ 1 with me. Their inconsistent coupon service lost me for a while.

I walkd in at 7:30pm and they didn’t greet me and one employee told another affer I walkd in to lock one of the doors cause it was late yet they close at 9pm so I when to the hair area and askd for help and all three workers at the salon lookd at each other and one said to the other im off the clock and told the other girl to help me with my question… Affer so I continued liking around and I told my husband to get me a ad book cause I left my 3.50 coupon home and he came back with a book and said the woman that gave it cut out the coupon and handed him the ad book so I ignored that so far that be completely rude so when I when to check out I told them nicely I left my coupon home and if they can look up my email it will show I had one they was like no we anit got none and was looking around asking each other if they had any coupons «clearly they did cause the lady that handed my husband the ad book cut it out «finally the one that «Cut» out the coupon seen my husband and said yes there’s one in the trash and the woman checking me out totally new it was there cause she was like oh ya here it is right in front of her… So again I ignored it and when on to proceed with the check out and then all the items I got was buy one get one 50% off and I said they was and the check out woman was like of no there not ringing up so I clearly said I will go check my self and see cause theres more then one sign saying they was but One get one 50% off then finally she askd another lady and she was like no I don’t think so but let me check in the book you go check in The aisle where she got them so affer 15 whole minutes trying to figure it out they was just not two cause they was on clearance which I did not know there was no sign to say that they was on clearance… It was a rude and up setting experience from the moment I walked in to the moment leaving and no one helped me at all they was dieing to close and evening killed the music as I walkd in MIND YOU IT WAS ONLY 7:30pm on a Friday so frustrating will not go back to this ulta or any at that even cause evening the other location on Parklane was just as bad and the workers were rude too! Gosh!

Staff is pretty rude. Customer service is awful!

Walmart of lady products… with a hair and wax on the side… no thanks.
My friend was going here for a haircut because she wasn’t happy with the previous one… (I’m not sure she was happy this time either). I got an eyebrow wax to kill time ($ 20) and not only did she go slow, she pulllllllled hairs out one by one so slow it was excruciating… she waxed of course and burned one eyelid (scabbed). Lastly, whatever it was, I had some kind of reaction for days after. My eyebrows itched for like a week!
I didn’t appreciate the selection here as someone who shops for natural products… you will not find them here. I check out and only one person was in front of me but it took forever…
I get to the counter, she asks about some club card and I say no. She pushed the card and I say no thank you I won’t be back here… she says «what, why? was it THAT bad?» all the while she’s ringing up the wrong wax and trying to overcharge…
I just looked at her and waited for her to finally look back at me and said «I’m not really your customer» and it was lost on her.

I’m not certain if it was because of the holidays or not but I found everyone to be very attentive and helpful and very informative. All their selections were vastly available and sale prices — when available — are incredible!
The same type of products that you would find at a salon you will certainly find here.
Signing up for their awards program is always beneficial — tons of coupons! I have also tried their salon and it’s always a hit and miss with the beauticians, but overall I’m very pleased !

Maribel gave me a totally awesome facial today! I splurged and got the hour long full experience. My skin looks and feels great, and I feel totally relaxed! Definitely recommend it!

I love this ulta. I’ve been coming here since I first started using makeup. The associates are extremely knowledgeable about makeup. What I love about ulta is that you can get high end products on one side and get your drug store items on the other side. It’s not just that though because you can go in get your hair done, got mine done by Paula and she’s absolutely amazing best hair cut I’ve ever had and she’s fast! I also love to get my eyebrows done too because the brow girls here know what they are doing they are Britney and Megan both are amazing at their jobs!
I love that there are always bargains to be had at the store sales, deals, and coupons. The rewards program is amazing which is why I tell everyone to get it because it’s so worth it. I love this store so much I want to work there but I may never leave! When I go to this ulta I usually get five more things that I didn’t intend on getting but I’m always satisfied with the result.
Since I’ve been coming here for so long I must say that this store has improved so much in the past few years. It’s cleaner and much more organized.

There was a very friendly lady at the register when I first walked in on 5÷27÷14 around 6:15 pm to make an exchange. She was by herself and had a long line of customers waiting, but she was still making an effort to say «hello» to everyone.
Two more associates came behind the counter and I thought they were there to help her. One of them saw that I had an Ulta bag and asked if I needed to make an exchange. She took care of the exchange but was not at all happy or friendly.
I strolled around the store some more and kept noticing that same nice lady alone at the busy register with other employees milling about. Why weren’t they assisting her? Maybe not all associates are trained on the register — I hope that was it, and not a complete lack of teamwork.
Customer service is hit or miss. The last time I was in, about two weeks ago, a young lady at the register (who coincidentally had plenty of other associates helping out at the register), made a HUGE effort to help me find a particular shade of eye shadow. She also offered some really good advice. I’m a makeup artist (although she didn’t know that) and can vouch for the authenticity of her suggestions.
Staff usually is friendly, although sometimes a lot of their merchandise, especially clearance items, are not marked. A couple of months ago, I pointed this out to some associates and they said they’d get the manager to fix this. I was in a few weeks later and the merchandise was still unmarked … maybe management is the problem and not the associates?

Bad service at this location. Employees act like they are doing you a favor when you have a return or exchange.

Good location. Walked in and was greated immediately by an associate who was restocking Lancome. NYX section was full stocked which is an anomaly. Most Ulta stores I’ve visited have little no supply of the colors I need. Clearance section isn’t the best, but it could just be because they’re ramping up for holiday.

I needed a last minute dye job and called the Salon at this location. They managed to squeeze me in.
A few things I noticed: The lady on the phone told me I could get a cut and color. When I sat down with my stylist, she told me I only have time for a color. No biggie. What I didn’t know was my short hair was $ 70 to color all over. I had been given to a «Master Stylist» which automatically makes it more expensive, but I wasn’t told. The staff is impersonal and unprofessional.
I was also poked in the eye. It hurt.

I HAD never been in here before. DOZENS of name brand products under one roof. Amazing

My hair and Texas are not friends. Texas wants it to be «big» and I’ve spent the past 32 years training it otherwise. During a recent trip to Dallas I decided to save myself the headache (or rather armache) of pulling it straight and decided to leave it up to the professionals.
My in-​laws have an Ulta right around the corner from their house and I booked an appointment in their salon. Susan was the stylist who was lucky enough to get her arm workout in that day by attempting to tame my unruly locks. I’ve found that just a few stylists have the skillz to get my crazy hair straight and Susan is one of them. After 45 minutes I walked out of the salon with straight sleek hair… and it lasted for the rest of my trip in the Big D.
I’d definitely pay the Uta Salon (and specifically Susan) a visit during future visits to Dallas. While I can’t remember the exact cost (pregnancy brain) I do recall it was affordable and definitely less than what I pay in Chicago. She got the job done and even updated me on the latest and greatest Kardashian gossip.

OMG… Do not go to ULTA with a 3 year old little boy… THEY ARE WAY TOO HONEST!!! The place was pretty crowded… I think they were having a sale on conditioner or something… I went with one of my dearest friends, Tricia and her son Andrew. (the 3 year old) We were standing in line… Andrew dropped his toy and as he was bending down to pick it up, he noticed the lady in front of us had «DIRTY FEET» And he kept asking his mom, «WHY DOES SHE HAVE DIRTY FEET?» I think everyone was feeling uncomfortable at that point… especially the lady he was talking about… But to Andrew’s defense… why where her feet so dang dirty???
The place was clean… a bit chaotic, but it is what it is when you are dealing with a store with nothing but grooming products…

I have to agree with Kelly on this one. The customer service is terrible.
I was looking at their salon products… i.e. Paul Mitchell, Biolage, Redken, etc. I needed a good conditioner for my hair. So I asked the girl who was working that section what she recommended. First of all, she looked stunned that I asked. Then, she asked what I wanted the conditioner to do. Um… stupid question lady! I want conditioner to do that it is suppose to do, SOFTEN HAIR! Then she proceeds to tell me that the best thing they had in the store was what I already had in my hands that I had picked up 2 mins prior to stopping her. It was obvious she didn’t want to think or work.
So I look my products to checkout. The sign in the back of the store in the salon products section said «buy 2 get 1 free». That was it. Well at check out I was told that I couldn’t mismatch products. Where did it say that on the flyer? No where. Then I was told the buy 2 get 1 was only for styling products which I didn’t have any of. So, to my embarrassment, I had to ask the checker to remove items from my bill because I refuse to spend over $ 100 on products at a shitty store. So $ 50 later I leave with barley anything.
I go home and try the conditioner I was told was wonderful. Well… it sucked. So I returned it at a different Ulta and took advantage of the 2 or 1 promotion which, by the way, was NOT just for styling products! The Preston store lied to me!
