The Uptown Truck Stop is a great addition to the food truck stops in Dallas. It’s located in the Sisu parking lot(behind Truluck’s). Surprisingly, there was plenty of space to host 4 food trucks and parking for their customers. They have patio seating with umbrellas for shade. Thank goodness for those umbrellas as they will come in handy for the upcoming spring and summer! They will be serving lunch, brunch, happy hour, and dinner Wed-Sun. Be sure to check the times before making your way over here! Today was their grand opening and they featured 4 trucks: Ruthies Rolling Café, Easy Sliders, Nammi, and Salsa Limon. I ordered the Asian BBQ pork rice bowl at Nammi. It’s a bowl of rice with all you fixings, but it’s not just any ordinary rice bowl. It comes with bbq pork, pickled veggies, cilantro, and jalapenos. They offer sauces on the side so if you’re taking your food to go, make sure you ask for those tiny sauce cups. For $ 9, you get plenty of food that will fill up anyone with a big appetite. My friend ordered the same thing along with the basil mint lemonade. It was very refreshing and a perfect compliment to the rice bowl. I cannot wait to come back to try out the other food trucks! I just hope my favorite truck, ssahmBBQ, makes its way over here!
