Description

Specialties

Zen Wellness Reflexology goes beyond just basic «reflexology». It practices «Advanced Reflexology» which goes further than just the manipulation and stimulation of these basic areas. Each therapist is KMERTTM certified. (KMERT — Ki Meridian Energy Regulation Therapy). With their knowledge and training on the body’s electrical meridian system, like acupuncturists, these therapists follow these energy pathways, unblocks «traffic jams» in the stagnated pathways so that energy could go through and circulate. It also corrects the direction of the flow of energy in the body in order to achieve optimum health. A healthy body has energy flowing freely (in the correct direction) 24 hours a day. A sick body, has stuck energy systems that translate to pain, and eventually illness. We also offer cupping with oriental massage, ear candling, and auriculotherapy for weight control.

History

Established in 2013.

The KMERTTM technique was developed by owner and operator Zonia Velasco, PT, OMD, who put together her work and experience as a physical therapist of 46 years specializing in manual therapy, as a teacher of massage therapy, and as an acupuncturist and oriental medicine doctor. At present, there are less than 10 trained KMERTTM therapists in the world.
