Harmony Trails Horseback

My husband and I went horseback riding on our 1 year anniversary vacation. We know nothing about horses and went on a wonderful hour long leisurely trail ride with Sherry through the woods and field and even picked apples. She was very patient and even though it was my idea, I was pretty nervous. I had a nice calm horse named Patches and my husband had the bigger horse Shannon who followed Patches faithfully. We even ran up a little hill. It was so much fun. I recommend this to anyone.

Sherry was absolutely wonderful– family-​friendly, easy-​going, offered clear and patient instruction for our two girls (6 and 8) before the ride, and then what a beautiful trail ride she took us on! Thanks to Sherry, the girls cherish their memory of riding horses in the Berkshires!

Loved our ride with Sherrie. She is a fabulous guide and it was one of the best horseback riding trips we have ever been on, which is the same thing the riders before us said at the end of their ride.

I have to start by saying my kids had a GREAT time. I am allergic to horses, so I waited by the car.
At first glance, I was a little concerned, as this place is very informal. It is not your typical horse barn. It is run from outside the owner’s home, up a very rough dirt road. But hey, I grew up in a town much like this so, I went with it.
Boy am I glad I did. The owner (I am bad with names, so forgive me) was so nice and knew her horses so well. She matched them up with my 14, 13 and 6 year olds (the 6 year old has the most riding experience) perfectly.
The price was very rerasonable, at $ 50 per person for the hour, which was a little more than an hour of riding time.
We would definately go again.
Only negatives … no sign on road (my GPS actually sent me to the neighbor, but we found it), and the driveway! Glad I had my wife’s truch and not my little car!

The highlight of our trip to the Berkshires!
This was such a wonderful experience! We called a day before and arranged for an hour ride the next day at 10:00am. The place was easy enough to find using GPS and Sheri (the owner) was so nice! We hadn’t been on horses since we were kids so basically had no knowledge about riding. She picked out the right horses for us and was great with giving instructions before we went and along the ride, by the end of the ride I felt like an expert! She gave a great tour on the horses through beautiful woods and fields, and she was ahead of us enough that she provided instructions, but also gave us a little privacy. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful or fun experience! Oh and she also was great about snapping some pictures for us and then texting them to us afterwards, that was a definite plus since we wanted to document the day!

I made plans to take my wife and I there for her birthday and it was the perfect experience. We felt completely comfortable and the horses seem happy and well taken care of. We had an amazing time, and would definitely come back. She was so patient with us newbies! I would definitely recommend for non-​experienced riders and experienced alike.

My family and I had a wonderful time on our 1-​hour ride through magnificent woodland trails. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and the horses were well-​looked-​after. We had a variety of experience levels on our ride, and everyone had a fantastic time. Highly recommended.
