I never thought I’d see the day when I would volunteer five star applause for a root canal. Dr. Ahani is by far the best endodontist I have ever used. Outstanding technique, thorough, gentle and personable. Clean, pleasant offices in a surprisingly beautiful building (inside), competent and compassionate staff.
If I lived 50 miles away, I would still make it a point to schedule my work with Dr. Ahani.

This doctor and his staff are simply incredible. They use the most modern of dental technology, their waiting room and patient areas are immaculate, and above all, Doctor Ahani is kind, and truly makes you feel like family. Due to health complications at birth, my teeth have lost much of their enamel. Thus, I have had 4 root canals throughout my life. This was by far the least painless, quickest, and most effective. HIGHLY recommend this wonderful doctor.

Just have to say he’s the best, had a root canal done today didn’t feel a thing. Thank you :) And I would recommend him to anybody.

Being a grown up means three things:
1. Paying taxes
2. Feeling nervous at annual medical exams
3. Intense dental appointments
I had to have root canals. Plural. Seriously.
I know how to care for my teeth. I am just getting old. It happens. There is no botox for teeth. So unfair and terribly rude.
It has already been revealed in a previous review that I am a white knuckle dental patient.
Why does this matter? Dr Ahani offers CONSCIOUS SEDATION. It is pretty delicious to have zero anxiety or memory of something I am terrified of.
It was my first root canal experience so I opted for the best in the Bay Area. There are names of specialists that the dentist I used to work for referred patients to exclusively so when I was referred to Dr Ahani I was thrilled.
My consultation appointment was fast, efficient, and a great learning experience. I felt empowered with how to best address my specific dental hygiene, what options I have for various areas of need, and most important?
I do not have to lose any of my teeth to implants as suggested by another dentist. Dr Ahani could save them. I want my teeth. All of them. They are mine so it makes sense that I keep them.
Growing old does this to you. Wanting to keep your teeth. Remember when we wanted them to fall out so the tooth fairy could visit? Ahhh, being a kid.
Conscious Sedation was a viable option for dental phobics. I jumped on that. It is an additional fee. Worth every penny.
The day of my appointment I felt very calm because I was medicated when I arrived. Then I was given more medication in the chair which basically made me sleep. I woke up to being wheeled out of the office and put into the waiting car.
I vaguely recall complaining that no one would take me to Dollar Tree. I dunno. It’s all a blur — which is the desired side effect of conscious sedation. I can’t elaborate more on my visit because I was out — or I forgot about it which again, is a desired benefit of conscious sedation.
Noteworthy: I had ZERO pain after my procedure. My root canals had very precise, neat temporary fills that did not inhibit eating or drinking.
Parting words:
Dr. Ahani is professional, friendly, and very skilled. I felt the money I spent for the consulation was worth it for the wealth of information he generously offered to me.
The ladies at the front desk are professional, friendly, and efficient. They will work with insurance needs, process your payment over the phone, remind you of appointments, and basically make showing up for your appointment a fuss free experience. I asked for e-​mail correspondence and they were more than happy to accommodate that request.
The chairside dental assistants are also professional, friendly, smart, and caring. I appreciate the drink when I was finished with my appointment. I also appreciated the ladies thoroughly explaining why they needed certain x-​rays and other questions I asked.
Parking is easy and free in the parking lot.
Office is minutes away from the freeway (and next door to Koi Palace so if you have time after your consultation…)
I felt confident going to Dr. Ahani for my root canals. I feel that same confidence in recommending him and his great staff for your endodontic needs.

Had a root canal today… Have to say I was very scared and nervous. This was one of the best dental experiences I’ve ever had. Dr. Ahani was great and so was his staff! Thank you guys for taking such great care of me. Hope I’ll never need another root canal, but if I do, I know where I’m going!

I had root canal today and could not wait to write a review. My experience completely changed my point of view of this procedure. It was absolutely painless, I felt very comfortable. The equipment that Dr. Ahani used amazed me– he did my root canal using a microscope. How incredible is that? And during the entire time he was cracking me up with jokes.
The office is beautiful. While sitting in the dental chair I was looking out of the window at a beautiful court yard with tall trees and a waterfall.
Staff is very friendly and very caring.
The most important part was that EVERYONE in that office loves what they do. The energy there is amazing.

Dr Ahani is impressively data-​driven and has an admirable negative capability, i.e., an ability to recognize what he does not know. More impressive than the root canal Dr Ahani performed (very competently) for me is the second one that he did not, because he wasn’t sure it would solve the problem. While I was traveling abroad, the pain got worse, and the local dentist thought a second root canal would solve the problem. It may have helped a bit, and may have become necessary in the long run, but Dr Ahani was right and it didn’t solve the problem.

This is funny. I just read a couple of reviews, and it is mind-​boggling that I would ever write a review (much less a GOOD one) about a root canal. This man knows his stuff, he obviously likes what he does, and he is a cool zen master. The procedure was painless; the environment is sterile and calming. He keeps you in the loop as he works, and uses his awesome technology to show you a wide-​screen shot of your failing 1970s-​era dental work and his super cool improvements. Dr. Ahani lectures other dentists — and I’m glad he’s spreading his mojo around the Bay Area.

I have been going to Dr Ahani for root canals for about 10 years now. Just this week, I got my referral from my Dentist for my root canal AND IT WASN’T FOR DR AHANI. I told my dentist to change my referral, because I didn’t want to see anyone else. Where else can you get a root canal, with an awesome staff, great music playing and have a dentist tell jokes and sing to his patients. Seriously? He has a very professional, yet laid back personality. He makes you feel at ease right away.
I had my root canal today and it literally only took an hour. Everyone says root canals are painful and they hurt. I tell them, «What root canal?» Everyone should go to Dr Ahani, if they want a great experience. Until next time Dr. Ahani. ^_^

I just wanted to say that this has been the most painless procedure in my life. I came in for a root canal due to a tooth that was sensitive to cold. I had two teeth with deep fillings right next to each other so doctor Ahani first needed to figure out which tooth was causing the issue which he did in like 5 minutes. Then we scheduled an appointment for next time to get the root canal done. The whole thing took about an hour. I didn’t feel anything, not even the anesthetic shot. After the procedure they gave me some advils and tylenols to take for the next couple of days but I didn’t need them because there were no pain after the anesthetic wore off. I would recommend you getting your root canal done here. I can now drink cold liquids!

Dr Ahani changed my perspective on dental procedures. I mean how much fun can you have having a root canal? Apparently a lot.
He’s got the best gear, technical mastery, and he loves to illustrate what’s going on with you. You leave better informed, and second guessing the level of care you’re getting from your annual check up dentist because Dr Ahani is the best.

I rarely write reviews, and here I am writing them on my plumber and my endodontist in the same day. I had to have 4 root canals recently, and I don’t even do meth! Bad teeth genes, but Dr. Ahani is the best if you need a root canal. I have seen him for a few years, and he is excellent at what he does, and funny also. If you have to have intense dental procedures, he will make it easier on you. I highly recommend him.

Did you ever think you would see a five star review for a ROOT CANAL? Dr. Ahani is beyond nice. He is calming and very reassuring, and also very good at what he does. My root canal was PAINLESS, just as he promised. The staff was also very nice, and the view of the courtyard is also calming and serene. The office is IMPECCABLY CLEAN, as it should be.
If you need work done, go here and you WILL NOT BE SORRY. I am pain-​free and wish I would have had this done months ago. =) Thank you Dr. Ahani!!!

My fears that a root canal would be a painful and awfully discomforting procedure turned out unwarranted. Dr. Rowshan’s soothing professional manner and equally calming voice alleviated those fears. The root canal was done wonderfully, with the littlest amount of discomfort and, best of all, no pain afterwards. His office staff is supremely attentive and well talented. I highly recommend him and his team!

I just saw Dr. Ahani this morning for my second root canal with him. I remember being super nervous the first time I saw Dr. Ahani as I’d heard all sorts of horror stories about root canals. I shouldn’t have worried. Dr. Ahani put me at ease right away. He also kept me entertained during the entire procedure with his amusing anecdoctes and calm nature. The process was pain free and his deft touch told me I was in the hands of a master.
Given my great experience with my first root canal, when I was told by my dentist I needed a second root canal (gah!) I told him he had to refer me to Dr. Ahani. There was just no way I would let anyone else do it. I am now home, after a pain-​free 1.5 hr session with Dr. Ahani.
Dr. Ahani and his staff are in one word: excellent. I agree with the other Unilocaler that Dr. Ahani’s root canals are easier to handle than a normal filling!

Dr. Ahani came in on his day off to perform a root canal… he and his staff were all highly professional and very friendly. His office is modern, and seems to be outfitted with the latest technology. I had as positive an experience as one could hope to have under these conditions.
I highly recommend Dr. Ahani if you are ever in need of an efficient, pain-​free solution to a root canal procedure.

I have a big fear of dentists, but this place totally put me at ease. Dr. Ahani was patient, gentle and did an awesome job on this root canal. I’d say even easier than a normal filling! Too bad he can’t be my regular dentist. :-)

I was in great pain and called their office. They saw me and worked me into their lunch hour.
I minutes he had my tooth numb and completed the entire root canal and post and core in one hour. I had no pain during nor after the appointment. Dr. Ahani is a life savior. My dentist feels he is an artist in his field, his work is eligant and effective.

I agree! Dr. Ahani and his staff are top notch. While the term «root canal» and great do not belong in the same sentence, he makes the process as painless as possible. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Ahani and his crew are great. They helped me finish off doing endo on a tooth started by another.
He made me feel as relaxed as possible and I was kept informed throughout the entire process. All done with a unique sense of humor.
