Opps, I forgot to mention that Glen himself helped commit INSURANCE FRAUD by giving us a story — in his own hand writing (which we still have as evidence) — to tell the insurance company so more money would be had to fix the car — which as my other reviews reveal — did not happen.
Do you really want such a shady character touching your car?

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. POOR QUALITY OF WORK. HANDS DOWN POOR EXCUSE OF A BUSINESS.
Like the other reviews state, Glenn and Glenn Sr. are full of initial BS promises. At first they are very accommodating and speak as if they are willing to go over and beyond to ensure that youre a satisfied customer… let me tell you that this is all and attempt to gain business. Once it’s settled that you will be procuring their services, it will be an ongoing battle to gain progress on whatever you are having done to your vehicle; there will be an extreme lack of communication (returning phone calls); and if an problem arises, instead of attempting to work with the customer to fix it, the blame will be put on you! Glenn Jr. will act as the friendly «know-​it-​all» salesman and make promises that will not be kept. I do, however, believe that his intentions were good, but in the end his father, who was always on his high horse, had the last say. every promise Glen Jr. would make would be overridden by the old man. Not good business practice.
My experience stemmed from a failed classic car upgrade attempt. I hesitate to call it a «restoration», as the final product looked like crap. It was agreed that paint and minor body work would be done for «X» amount of dollars — the final cost was even inflated in case of «unforeseen» work that would need to be done. It was acceptable and we agreed on a firm price. Glenn Jr said that the car would be ready and out of the shop within a month. Again, the car was in great condition both mechanically and physically, so a month give-​or-​take would be a reasonable amount of time to get the job done. To start, my car sits in their shop for over two months. I work nearby so I monitored the progress and their excuse was that they were swamped with work. Tired of waiting, I told Glenn Jr/​Sr that I was going to take my business elsewhere, since they were just too busy to get around to my car. They apologized repeatedly and said that it wouldn’t be necessary, as they were planning to start on the car the next day??? Ok, so they were good on that promise. They started some sanding and took the doors off, BUT, after this was done, the car sat again for another month. Finally when it was time to paint the car, Glenn Jr. tells me that the paint I initially selected on day one, prior to making the deal, was not available and there were no close alternates. Mind you while my car was at Glenn’s shop, I put in an order with my interior guy — I ordered custom interior to match the paint. This of course made me furious, but fine, if the paint wasn’t available, so I would go with a basic black paint, which should be cheaper than the custom version of paint I initially picked. And since I was switching up the colors, I asked for racing stripes to be put on the car. But wait, Glenn Sr. wanted to charge me more for his shop’s mistake? I’m picking a cheaper paint w/​racing stripes, but yet I’m being charged more? I did not want to deal with these people anymore so I agreed to pay an additional cost for the racing stripes and pay the difference in installment payments, since my car was in pieces in their garage. 5 ½ months later my car is finally completed. The paint looks like SH*T! The racing stripes are crooked and smudged. AND! my car won’t start! To make things worse, Glenn Sr. blamed me for my car not being in «working» order. I left my car in the shop working fine — I had everything under the hood replaced, along with the transmission over a year prior to bringing it to Glenn’s shop. In addition, one of my tails lights were out, the fragile plastic clips in my shifter housing were broken, the magnet to close the center console is missing AND they painted the original wood grain on my dash and on the shifter housing! I am beyond disbelief with the service and quality of their work — just horrible!
I should have done my research about Glenn’s Custom’s prior to deciding to leave my car with them. This shop has contracts with the car rental agencies, so they do a lot of minor repairs. They do not have experience with classic car restoration, but are probably good at fixing minor scratches and dings. And forget about customer service — if something goes wrong, they will not settle for being the one to blame. It will always be the customer’s fault.
Steer away from this business. I’d also like to share that recently their shop got raided by some federal, state and/​or local agents… shop was surrounded, bullet proof vests… the whole nine yards. The agents left with files and computers… hmmmm???
Glenn Jr. likes to toot his horn by making false promises to customers when really the last say is from his father, the major d**bag Glenn Sr.
South San Francisco is skid row for auto body repair and paint… save the headache and grief and go anywhere but Glenn’s Custom’s.
