Sushi buffet was great, they have choices that are often served in other sushi buffets.(Abalone, scallops, hand rolls, etc) Dessert bar was great! Love the mango and green tea mouse(idk the spelling). Not too sweet, just enough. Oh they also have Crème brûlée!!! Oysters(fresh and raw) were hits and misses. Most of the ones I got were not fresh but my friend’s were good. They also go fast, so always look out for them. Parking was free when we went, idk why. And there was no line to get in the buffet. Price is ok.

Definitely love how the birthday person is always free as long as there are two other people with you. In addition to that, they give you a birthday shoutout, or should I say they bring you cakes from the desert section with a candle on it! Not the fanciest way but definitely a generous action. I enjoyed my 16th birthday’s meal here at Kome. Delicious food and Friendly workers.

The prices are decent but the food is mediocre. You get what you pay for. I haven’t been here for two or three years and the quality of the food has gone down so much. They have so many people working behind the sushi counter. «watching» what food needs to be replenished and yet they don’t notice a long black hair sitting on top of one of the sushi rolls… Now I remember why I haven’t been here in so long. I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon.

Went to Komé last night for the first time and was very pleased. Went arrived around 5PM(party of two) and were seated right away. Komé has a variety of sushi, hot food, soups, and desserts. I was definitely a huge fan of their tuna nigiri and shrimp nigiri. Usually at seafood buffets, the quality of fish is questionable. But I was pretty impressed at how fresh the fish was. It did not have a fishy smell and had a great, rich color to it. I also was a fan of their soup section. They have a chef make soup based on what you would like in it. I had the wonton rice noodle soup. The rice noodles are basically ho fun noodles. Wontons are filled with a sweet shrimp and I think mushroom. Very delicious. And the broth is a simple, clear soup. I am not quite sure what it is composed of. The hot food section had a lot of fried foods. I was definitely a huge fan of the peking duck and the cripsy pork. Both had a lot of flavor and definitely went well with the soup I ordered. The dessert section is mediocre. They have a selection of ice creams, mousses, fruit, and cakes. I am not a big fan of sweets so I did not spend much time here. Our bill came out to a little over $ 60. Keep in mind it was a Sunday evening. We also ordered hot tea. Definitely worth the extra $ 2.50. Hahaha.

Charged $ 26.99 for a meal because it is a holiday. They kept arguing they charged $ 13 more than usual because it is a holiday when even pg&e is closed. I don’t understand how come charging more without informing customers can be validated because pg&e is closed. When we asked to the manager, he argued back at us with incredibly rude manner. Servers here rush us to pay even when we are eating.

One afternoon, my friends and decided we wanted to eat Asian food for lunch, different types and lots it. BUFFET! So I went on Unilocal and found a place down in Daly City called Kome. It wasn’t amazing from the reviews but one of the only buffet places I’ve found here in SF, so why not?! This place reminds me of Koi palace. Long lines and lots of busy people working. Expect to wait. The service was alright. No one really greeted us, they were too busy. No one wanted to answer questions, they were too busy. Whatever, I was hungry lol. The buffet has a ton of stations. There’s a huge sushi station, a hot line with lots of Chinese cuisine, a noodle station, a dim sum station and a dessert station. Some of my favorites included the nigiri station. Snagged me some salmon and tako nigiri. I also liked the roast pork, char siu and duck from the Chinese station. They had chicken wings but it seemed to go fast. For noodles, I liked the ramen and won ton. I also liked the juicy pork from the dim sum. Not a big fan of the dessert station. Some mousses, fruit but nothing else really. Overall, the food didn’t really stay warm. I’d say you should grab a little at a time and just go back, but the lines are long so it’s hard not to grab two plates at once. I’d definitely go back. The price tag was $ 25 per head and worth it if you’re looking to eat a bunch of Asian foods. I was a little hungover that day so it did the trick. Not the best place, but it’ll do.

The worst service I ever seen!!! We went to Kome with my friends last night. The waitress named Jessi treated us so rude!! My friend wanted to see the check, because there was something wrong. She took it away and ignored her. My friend keep asking then she started yelling. We also told the manager but it didn’t help. That waitress wanted fight!!! That’s ridiculous. We still gave them tips even she is so mean. After we paid, she said bad things about us in front of her colleagues. No serving any more even we didn’t finished. My friend asked for a cup of tea, she told him she doesn’t speak English!!! But when she quarreled, she spoke English! Kome’s food is good. Customers not only need good food, but also good service. Kome need to see people’s personality when they choose the server.

I just get infinite sushi, and at lunch prices that’s pretty darn good. I have been to a lot of buffets before with sushi, and every single one except Kome has had terrible sushi. Kome is the only place with decent sushi. My favorite is the snowball roll. There’s also infinite tempura, infinite char sui, and the best infinite roast duck! I dont think everything here is good, but I pretty much just farm my favorite items which I think are great: sushi, char sui, roast duck, tempura!!!

I went in on a busy Saturday night, and the girl in the front was in a really bad mood and didn’t even greet us. Once we went up to get our food it all looked dry and old. Nothing looked good at all! After I started eating it was totally not worth it. It wasn’t fresh and some food was chewy! All around a deal breaker, I didn’t like this place at all. I won’t be coming back! It’s also really expensive for the quality of food. I don’t recommend this place!

Options are underwhelming and freshness seems to be lacking in food quality. I get it is a buffet but the way the tables are all crammed in to maximize occupancy makes it feel like a chow hall walking in. I don’t want to feel like a herded cattle when eating at a buffet especially when the food is subpar. Tip: they close at 3pm for lunch, don’t bother coming after 1:45pm because they essentially stop making sushi at that time and whatever is left is what anyone coming after that time gets. Not worth it. I’d rather pay more money for a higher quality meal and experience. Also, they charge per person for tea. One would think with a buffet tea would be included? Thanks Kome but no thanks

I haven’t visited Kome for at least 3 or 4 years. When it comes to any Asian buffets, the quality of food is never excellent or the food served is always cheap and easy-to-make dishes. I wouldn’t consider this as a Japanese buffet though. Besides the sushi that they serve, all other dishes are Chinese and all the workers scream at each other in Chinese. I finally came here again for Thanksgiving lunch. Since this is one of the two«better» buffets near San Francisco, I would think that the prices would be skyrocketed. However, it was only $ 17.99 on Thanksgiving day! I was here with my extended family and there were 15 of us. We were seated in a corner in the back room. It was difficult for us to move around since we were so squished so everytime someone stood up to get food, everyone else on the same row would have to get up with you so you could pass by. Besides the seating problem, the waiters were very attentive to collect your dirty dishes or refill water/tea. The sushi selection is huge. They actually have a good variety of «good» fish, instead of the boring o’ tuna and imitation crab sushi that you would find at other asian buffets. Their poke is amazing and mussels and seaweed salad all taste very fresh. I always start off with sushi in case I get full. however, eat the sushi with less rice so you wont get full off the rice! Besides the sushi, there are three choices of soup, porridge, fried rice, chow mein, noodles, bbq dumpling, noodle soup station, other chinese dishes, seafood, desserts, and more. I do not recommend the crab legs and black bean clams. It def tastes like it was frozen for a long time and the taste is not there. The bbq selection was pretty good as well! However, the turkey was the only bbq meat i did not like. It was very dry and the way it was presented, it seemed like the chef did not know how to chop the turkey. I was always a big fan of their mousse desserts and their cake! Not too sweet but it still satisfies your sweet cravings. Next time if I am craving for a sushi buffet, I would probably come here because not only do I get sushi, I can try other asian dishes and the variety of desserts with a decent price.

If you are in the mood for stuffing your face silly with glorious food, this is the place. I have been here for both lunch and dinner. They have an island dedicated to Japanese cuisine(sushi, poke salad, seaweed salad, more sushi rolls, etc), which also offers sashimi and fresh oysters during dinner time. Great place for big groups because they have huge tables at the back, and I’m pretty sure everyone can find something they enjoy here. Waiters clear your plates and fill your drinks fast. I love it. It can get real crazy when it’s crowded during dinner time. People get too excited and don’t bother about waiting in line sometimes. There was this lady who spent 15 minutes to pile all remaining oysters on her plate when there was clearly a line waiting behind her. I was seated right in front of the oyster bar and saw the whole shenanigan. It’s hilarious. They refill the tray of oysters within 10 minutes though, so it wasn’t a big deal.

Kome is Gastronomical! They have a HUGE selection of sushi, hot Chinese and Japanese items like shrimp and vegetable tempura, BBQ pork, beef chow fun, Roast duck, fish, crab, black bean clams, mussels, stir fry, assortment of dim sum, etc. They also have a noodle bar that has a selection of 18 different noodle soup bowls you can choose from. I had dumplings with rice noodle with soup and found it very good. The broth had really good flavor and the dumplings were good size. There were so many delicious sushi selections to choose from, including hand rolled which the sushi chef makes quickly. Sashimi is also available. Not bad for a buffet. I really enjoyed the salt and pepper jalapeño chicken wings. Good size wings spiced very well with lots of flavor and a kick. For desserts they have variety of mousses, cakes, egg tarts, fruit and ice cream. Kome is a good buffet with lots of all you can eat selections. Coming back!

This place is my girl Karla’s fave buffet place in Daly City. It’s one of the better seafood buffets but I still like the Komi Sushi buffet in South San Jose much better. The sushi here is pretty fresh but the salads are not as good. The hot food selections are decent but they need to have better soup selections. They also need to have a better hot sauce option for us folks who love spicy food!!! This place gets crazy packed! The lines around dinner time on the weekends can get long. The service is usually pretty fast and the waiters are pretty good. It is pricy so come hungry and EATASMUCH as you can to make your moneys worth!

The chinese food is so greasy that I can feel pimples pop up on my face as I eat it. The desserts all taste like crap LOL tbh it’s the worst quality dessert I have ever consumed. It’s excruciatingly sweet and tastes like gumballs. You’re better off just having the fruit, which is pretty good… But how could you get fruit wrong? Lol. There is a wide selection of sushi but the fish is not fresh. At. All. While I already think the food is mediocre, this place gave me the shits all night ONMYBIRTHDAY!!! LOL I AMNEVERGOINGBACKAGAIN!!! ITIS1AMAND I AMSITTINGONTHETOILET(again) AS I WRITETHISREVIEWLOLPLEASEPRAYFORME!

After only having mediocre experiences over the past few years, I only came back non-voluntarily recently for dinner as part of a large party. Not sure if I was ravenous or had low expectations, but I had a wonderful experience with delicious food! The sushi was ample and fresh, the cooked food was superb with a large amount of variety, and the ice cream and cut fruit was refreshing. While none of the food is especially stand out, you get what you pay for especially when it comes to variety — there is something for everyone! Tip — Dinner comes with geoduck and abalone, but you have to ask the sushi chef ;)

My family has been coming here for years, and today, I finally got to come– for mommy’s birthday! Just bring at least 2 other people and the birthday person gets their meal for free! They have a huge selection of sushi, Chinese hot items such as veggies, clams, bbq stuff, fish, etc. They also have a small dim sum section and noodle bar. Desserts consists of ice cream, fruit, and a artful selection of cakes and mousse. Sushi: They all kind of ran together and tasted the same. The rice and fish wasn’t that fresh so it was just mediocre. Didn’t really matter what you choose, just eat it if you like sushi. Hot items: This was my go to. Try the salt and pepper chicken wings. my fav out of the whole day. This section I was actually surprised about because it was pretty flavorful and well cooked. I usually don’t eat this section but this was one of the best parts of the buffet. Noodle bar: Got a stewed pork noodle soup and was surprisingly really good. Really good flavor on the broth, nice egg noodles, and big chunks of stewed pork that was actually pretty tender. Desserts were really disappointing and tasted really artificial, but the fruits were good. I try not to be a fatty, but I would come back. I want to try out dinner and see what kind of seafood they throw in.
