Lilly Sparkling Cleaning

Bought the Groupon but I wish I had reviewed Unilocal first. After many phone calls/​emails to get the day/​time straight with them, they came yesterday to do the work. I would think that if they want to drum up business, they would show a much better first impression. Here’s how mine went:
– Didn’t start job till 5:20 pm but were ready to leave by 7:05 pm
– Kitchen was done well except for the top of the fridge was not even touched
– The blinds were not dusted — as requested when they got there
– They did not even enter the laundry room even tho they told me they did it prior to leaving
– Bathrooms were done well — except the tile not scrubbed as well as other cleaning services I have had
– Seemed like a rush job cuz dusting is not done well at all. lots of dust still in the bedrooms etc.
Texted her w/​the couple of the issues listed above after they left, and of course no response.

I too first used Lilly’s cleaning services via Groupon. I made an appt online and she called me the day of to confirm. Lilly did show up about 30 min late but she stayed back longer to finish the job. And she came by herself instead of having 2 ppl as what the Groupon stated. But this really didn’t bother me as long as the job was done in reasonable amount of time.
This is a new business she is operating alone with the help of family members so I completely understand if she may not be as «professional» as other cleaning companies in the bay area. But Lilly is really friendly and does try her best to arrive promptly. Plus I really like the job she does. I’ve used her about 4 times now and not once did she pull a no-​show. She will call me the day b4 to confirm and will call to let me know if she’s running either a little late or early. And she would always come with another person to help (besides the 1^st appointment). Her prices are very reasonable too!

Just the same as others booked 2 weeks in advance to clean for 50^th birthday. Owner called the day before asking if they could come a day early. I was at work so no possible. He said one person on their way next day, I reminded him groupon said 2. Next day woman called to say she couldn’t come, told me to reschedule in a week!!! Party that day, I was pissed had to call another cleaning service

Oh boy, I guess I should’ve checked Unilocal before buying the Groupon. Reallllllly really bad service! I purchased a Groupon for «One 2 hour cleaning session w/​2 people.» One woman (Rita) showed up with a small bare bones bucket of cleaning supplies. She spent almost 50% of her time on the phone while she was here, and she was here only 2 hours. When she said she was «done», I looked around, and surfaces all over the house were dusty and untouched — surfaces that always get attention from other cleaners. When I pointed them out to her, I expected some type of explanation of why they were ignored, but instead she claimed that she had actually been over these surfaces and they were CLEAN. what??? I could’ve written my name in the dust. She was just outright lying. The house didn’t smell clean or look clean. You could barely tell she was here. Furthermore, when I explained that the Groupon was for 2 people for 2 hours (4 hrs of cleaning total), she argued and argued that I had misunderstood. I didn’t want to argue, as I knew I was correct, and Groupon has good customer service, so I figured it will work itself out, but then I couldn’t get her out of the house. She was adamant that I was wrong. I’ve placed a call to Lily’s this morning and waiting to hear if they are willing to right this wrong. I don’t want them back in my house, as the cleaning quality was really really poor, but a 50% refund seems fair since I received 50% of the Groupon deal. Obviously the whole ordeal was a waste of time, as I had to schedule myself to be home while she cleaned, and then I had to clean myself after she left. We had company coming in town the next day for our wedding, so the house had to be clean.

Bought a Groupon in July, went back and forth couple times to get the appointment finalized. My appointment was cancelled twice, finally Lilly gave my business to Rita from Sweet Cleaning Service. One star because she did call to let me know she’s having someone else coming and one person actually showed up (The Groupon I bought was for 2 people to clean for 2 hours)…

I’ve never written a bad Unilocal review before — but I feel obligated to ’cause I got scammed by these people as well.
Just like the others, I bought a coupon, made an appointment, when they didn’t show up I called and left a messages for them. Never heard back. At this point, I wouldn’t let them into my home even if they did respond — it just seems too shady.

I also bought the groupon and scheduled the appointment online. I got a call from the company the day before to confirm the time and address, she showed up about 15 min late but stayed late and did a great job with my house. I would use her again, especally at the price she gave me.

Got an online coupon for this company’s services.
They never showed up at the scheduled time and never picked up or returned my phone calls to confirm the appointment.

I have also had a terrible and frustrating time contacting this company after purchasing a Groupon. No return phone calls or emails. Groupon has been great in trying to help the situation but unfortunately it has been to no avail.

Unbelievably disappointed in this company. I bought a Groupon and tried to contact them to make an appointment. No return phone call. Made an appt online with groupon and they didn’t show up. No call or anything. No return call to make an appt.
Had to contact groupon and they didn’t have any luck in getting them to contact me either. Had to get a refund. 2 months of dealing with trying to get an appointment. Totally do not recommend.
