4 stars because I grew up in the area and have fond memories of the place since the 80’s when there used to be a Safeway instead of a Pacific Super.
I agree it does need somewhat of a makeover but what do you expect??? It’s not the friggin’ Metreon for crying out loud… but everytime I pass by there, dang so many cool memories of the 80’s and 90’s. I swear that St. Francis Square sign has been there for ages! Old school Daly City!!!

This place is in need of a major makeover.
An overhaul. A heart transplant. A face-​lift. I life-​preserver. A surgery. A defibrillator.
Something…anything to bring it up to the 21st century.
Everything is outdated, old and decrepit. It feels like you’re traveling to a third world country when coming here. Make sure you get your shots and vaccination up to date.
The only reason I come here is for the Dim Sum place and the Filipino Bakery. Other than that, this place is so depressing that it may make you want to take some Prozac.
