Worst hair color experience ever. I came in because I heard a lot of good reviews about the place. Had a guy who seemed new and panicky do my hair. I should’ve known from the start that it would be a horrible experience. I showed him pictures of what I wanted and he would keep asking to see it again and he always had this confused look on his face. I asked for an ashy brown balayage, and came out with brassy highlights with harsh lines. And he would look at my hair from time to time and look worried and talk to his coworkers in a nervous questionable tone. Horrible. I stayed in a chair for a good six hours. And I paid $ 140 for something I didn’t want at all and my hair came out so dead. My hair was in the worst condition it has ever been. Definitely not coming back here. Or to that same stylist, at least.

May is amazingggggg!!! My original salon was booked until July and I wanted to get my hair done asap. I called Structure to make an appointment, they were able to take me in the next day!
When I arrived I had to wait a little past my time, but I was okay with it because it was really busy for May.
When it was my turn, May was super sweet! I told her exactly what I wanted and she fulfilled my expectations.
Mind you, I came in with hair up reallllllyyy long hair and I asked her to just chop it off. At first she was hesitate, but I just told her just do it! I ended up chopping off 13 Inches. Which was major for me!
She cut, fixed root, cut more, bleach and added high lights. My hair came out amazing! Not once did she make me feel uncomfortable or nervous, knowing that never in my life did I nor did I think I would have short hair.
Overall it came out awesome, I’m in love with it. May is also super sweet!
Only con, is that the wash station needs a more flat chair because it is extremely uncomfortable having to bend my neck back for awhile.

Mei is amazing with colors! Can’t thank you enough for making my hair look fabulous ! I love it! Rocking the purple with grey! Bring a picture of what you want done with your hair as inspiration and she will do her best to make it happen if not even better. She’s very patient and will listen to your needs. Don’t be alarmed when she works on a few clients at a time, the finish product will still be fabulous!

This was my first time here. Got a appointment in for today with Angela. *Yass, thought I wasn’t gonna get in*. I asked for a medium ash blonde. And my hair was a bayalage black to a blonde that needed some work done. She corrected my hair in sections so it wouldn’t burn. Thankful for that! The color came out amazing. I’ve been to many stylist and none of them came close. And in one session at that. She gave me short layers which made my hair so light. Glad I was recommended to her and I’m definitely coming back. Mei is great. She color my hair really nice and looks naturally! Price is reasonable. Better to go on weekday or book before coming if u dont want to wait.

I LOVE MEI. Literally. I love that woman. She is amazing and does such a great job taking care of you. I made an appointment with her at 10AM, and she took me in right away while she was already working on someone else. The thing I liked about her was that she took a good look at the picture I showed her — in terms of what I wanted to do with my hair. And she explained to me what she was going to do to achieve it. During the whole time I was there, she always kept me in the loop. She kept telling me what she was going to do next and kept reassuring me that it was turning out really well. The only downside was that since she is super popular, she tends to get busy balancing her clients all at once, so prepared to be there for a couple of hours. I totally didn’t mind though, she’s absolutely a superwoman. She was super sweet too. She kept apologizing for the wait and how hectic it was for her. She does like to take her time with each client and doesn’t rush, which is also something I love about her. I think I’d rather wait and have someone take their time and do a great job rather than someone who’d rush just to get you out the door.
She felt so bad that I waited for awhile that I only paid $ 140 for my super drastic haircut and color. My hair turned out AMAZING! I’ve never been so happy. I was honestly skeptical because the past people I’ve worked with here at Structure haven’t been so great. I’ve been dying to achieve this ashy look for awhile but Danny had turned my hair to a yellow color instead of ash. He definitely seemed like he was rushing too. But anyways, Mei definitely made that fear go away. She reassured me and everything. I’ll be coming back for her, no doubt!

This place is kind of a hole in the wall.
I went to this place because it’s super convenient (I literally live right across the street & I did a little bit of ( Unilocal) research on this place before but have only gotten a hot oil treatment.
Monday, I went in on a whim! I was determined to get rid of my ugly, greenish blonde ombré which was faded from a box dye I had used 3 months back. I showed Mei (it’s spelled like this for those of you who keep spelling it «May») a picture of what I wanted: a light purple ombré over the blonde. I wanted to keep my roots dark brown, but fade into light purple.
Mei did an aaaaaamazing job! I have never left the salon so ecstatic about getting my hair done. She gave me exactly what I wanted (color, style, and everything), and I’ve been getting compliments ever since!
She even gave me tips on maintenance which I really appreciated since the color will be harder to keep up with.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with her work and would definitely recommend her, especially if you want crazy colors!

Got my hair done by David. He was very patient with my hair considering I’ve bleached it so many times throughout the years and it still came out just how I wanted it!

Finally found a barber who is willing to bleach my whole head. May is the one you must ask for!
I called in and asked for the earliest appointment, so she scheduled me at 8:30. The whole process took four hours. Their hair wash stations weren’t those where you lay down, so it was quite tiring for the head.
Overall, the color of my hair came out the way I wanted it! Satisfied and will definitely come back for a different color! Total was 120 $

Hands down to WINSON! For bringing the best out of my unfortunate hair. I wouldn’t know what to do if I didn’t discover him/​this place, really.
So the day before, I went to a different salon to get ombré, however, somehow they messed up and ended up dyeing my whole hair blonde. Well, orangey blonde. No sign of ombré at all! It was a big mistake and a total regret! I wasn’t happy at all with the result. Since I was really desperate and since all the other salons which does ombré are fully booked, I decided to give structure design a shot. At first, I was having a second thought if I should give it a try due to the negative reviews. Especially when I was scheduled with Winson.
All the beautiful hair pictures on Unilocal are done by either manny, Danny or mei. Weird but none of them are done by Winson, which made me think if Winson even does ombré hair dyeing. I tried to switch the stylist to one of the three but all of them were off. I was afraid that another no experience person will handle my hair but I didn’t really have a choice so I just stick to Winson and that was my BEST decision ever.
My appointment was at 12 but I got to the place about 10 minutes earlier. When I arrived, Winson was already waiting for me and assisted me right away! Throughout the session, He was checking with me before he did anything to my hair and I thought that was really really nice. He checked with me for the color that I want and the length of my haircut and my hair turned out exactly how I wanted it. He only focused on me the whole 3 hours and made sure that I am comfortable, he gave me bunch of magazines to make sure that I won’t be bored the whole time.
Overall, amazing experience! I totally recommend Winson. 5 stars for customer service and the outcome of his work. I’m sooooo in love with my hair! I finally have a to go salon whenever I need a retouch or haircut!

So i called her a day before I went in and unfortunately she told me over the phone that she does not work on Tuesdays and I said I’ll book her during the weekend then, but she no no I’ll take you don’t worry! Already a plus from her! So she took me in at 6pm and she did a beautiful job! I was a little skeptical because she didn’t have work that day and also I was pushing the time for her! I was afraid she was going to do a rushed, sloppy job but was I wrong! She turned my black, unhealthy, split-​ends hair into a caramelize, blonde, and bouncy new hair style!!! I’m telling you she is amazing and took time because my hair was weak at the end to achieve the color I wanted slowly but surely she did. She assured me and walked me through the process and told me what she was doing. Come to Mei!
Salon Environment: ⁴⁄₅ Quite busy, but made you feel like you’re in good hands
Cleanliness: ³⁄₅ I questioned the sanitary of the brushes used and also the sink, but it’s not a top notch salon just your typical which is fine!
Price: ⁵⁄₅! You honestly CANNOT BEAT THEIR PRICES FOR COLOR/​OMBRÉ. So you better tip Mei cause she honestly deserves it for the work she does!

DO NOT GO HERE! I REPEAT, DO NOT GO HERE!
If there was an option for 0 stars, I would do it. I am so upset. I went in with a picture and told the stylist that helped me that I wanted DARK BROWN WITH VIOLET HUE. I came out with the MOST uneven Warm RED I have ever seen. This is the WORST coloring I have ever had. DO NOT GO HERE.
My experience is as follows:
Called ahead and Sophie said to come on in. She greeted me warmly and ushered me to a chair. She asked what I wanted and as stated above I showed her a picture and vocalized what I wanted. She brought out a book of hair colors and pointed to a RED on the book. I said, «That’s not exactly what I’m looking for. I am looking for VIOLET.» She said, «Okay okay, I know what you want.»
She then disappears and comes back with a giant bottle of RED. I should’ve stopped her then. Whenever I have put Violet’s in my hair, they have been grey which turn to a dark purple, but I thought she must know what she is doing. She is the professional.
She applied color over the sink. Just pouring it into my hair and mashing it up in my hair. No brushes were used to get the roots AT ALL. When she was done, she ushered me over to the seat and disappeared again.
About 35 minutes went by and my head was tingling from the dye but that’s pretty normal so I ignored it. The girl next to me was upset because her golden blonde had turned grey with another stylist and he offered to strip it. While he was doing this, all I could smell was burning hair and I wasn’t sure if it was her or me because my head now felt like it was burning. I kept looking around for Sophie but she was no where to be found.
5 minutes later, I spot Sophie sitting in the back corner and she rushes over to take the color out. «HALLELUJAH!» I thought. After she washed me, she furiously rubbed a towel on my head. (I HAVE EXTREMELY CURLY HAIR AND AN EXPERIENCED STYLIST WOULD KNOW NOT TO DO THIS AS IT CREATES FRIZZ AND CAN DAMAGE CURLY LOCKS.) When she was done doing this she asked if I wanted a style and I was so upset at this point, I just told her I wanted leave in conditioner and a brush so I could do it myself.
When I parted my hair, I noticed the roots were red, almost orange and about 3 shades LIGHTER than the rest of my hair. I pointed this out and she blamed the lights in the shop, but tell you what, my roots are still 3 shades lighter and NOT the color I had asked for.
The whole transaction felt rushed. She was more concerned with making money than she was with what I wanted and I am way to polite to stop someone. However, after this experience I most certainly will.
Save yourself the money and the hassle and see a professional. I will never go here again. On top of that, I have to go somewhere else to have my color fixed now!

I used to come to Mei all the time back in high school, and yesterday I decided to come back and vist becuase I knew she was one of the few people I could trust with my hair.
I wanted to get an ombré done, and I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she did just that! It turned out so AMAZING! The perfect ashy blonde all in one session! Im definitely going to keep going back to Mei bcuz shes super sweet and makes sure you get what you want.
The only downfall is that this place gets SUPER busy so I suggest coming in when you dont have any plans/​day off. I was in the salon for almost 5 hours.
But my hair turned out cheaper than I expected so I really cant complain about a thing!

I’ve been coming here since I left high school! Ha! So it has been 7years! But May has been my hair dresser and always knows what to do with my hair even if I say otherwise. I trust her with my hair. There are several times where some of my friends who would be on beauty school and such that needs hair model (i come to the rescue) so i had silver hair ombré with dark roots and grew out un-​attractively so now May had it fixed. Oh giiiirl, I loved the results! I’ll probably go lighter again when the weather changes (it’s a girl thing) if you could see the before and after photos. Yassss!
I put 4 out of 5 stars because May get pretty busy even with 5 more people at the salon working and even after 3 people doing my hair helping her out (shampoo and dry) the wait is pretty unsatisfactory even with appointment times. Oh, I know it’s a busy hair salon but they need cleaner view of the entire salon. I’d love to keep coming back…

I walked in here wanting a cut and color. I told my stylist that I wanted to dye my hair but DO NOT touch my scalp. I have a very sensitives scalp so I didn’t mind having dark roots. As he started dying my hair, I felt him massaging the color into my roots! I immediately felt a burning sensation and I wanted him to stop. He continued to rub it in and said «it’s only 10% peroxide. Leave it in for 10 mins». I continued to squirm in my chair and I repeatedly said «it’s burning!!!» It was the longest 10 minutes of my damn life. Then another guy took me to the sink station to wash my hair. The color came out fine and my stylist continues to cut my hair.
The only reason why they get a single star is because my hair cut was exactly what I wanted.
That night I felt something dripping from my scalp. To my surprise, I still had hair dye on my scalp that wasn’t completely rinsed out!!! Not only that, my scalp was raw and red!
When a customer says don’t touch their roots, just listen to their instructions because this is the kind of BS I didn’t pay for. Upset is an understatement.
