We walked into Damariscotta Hardware in a panic. We had driven up from Connecticut with painted pumpkins ready to enter in the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest Pumpkin Derby, but… the festival had already sold out of wheel kits. Assistant Manager Albert Lawrence was our superhero! Not only did he help us find all of the parts we needed, he made sure our racers were ready to roll before we left… saving us hours of agony and marital discord! We were blown away by how good-​natured and patient he was. My daughter says, «He saved our trip!» Thank you!
