Alma has serious talent! I am more than pleased with my first set of lashes! I was hesitant at first because I don’t ever wear makeup, and I was afraid lashes would make me look too «done up.» Alma did an incredible job making them look natural and not over the top. The process itself was painless — no itching, stinging, or discomfort. Relaxing music played while Alma was so gentle and surprisingly very quick! I walked out feeling confident and extremely pleased. Prices are competitive and the upkeep isn’t going to break the bank. I already booked my next appointment! I’m recommending Alma to all of my friends!

Great place and amazing artist Alma has the most delicate and smooth hand at was she does. There was no discomfort what’s so ever during the process. The atmosphere was extremely peaceful and full of bright energy, so I like to call it. I am definitely coming back she goes above and beyond with her work.

Alma has been doing my lashes for over a year now, and I am addicted. They look so great and natural; I am always getting compliments. Two of my friends have now started going to Alma and they love it too. Alma is very talented and always keeps up with the newest trends, technologies and techniques by going to conferences all over the country. Alma’s talent in eyelash extensions amaze me every time I step foot out of her beautiful salon. First of all, the lavender in the beginning just melts away any outside thoughts and stress. She’s so gentle when cleaning for the fill and applying lashes — I usually fall asleep! My lashes last so long (up to 3+ weeks) and I’ve never had an issue with my natural lashes. I barely wear make up now, the lashes are so big and natural looking. Thanks for making my life easier, Alma!

So quality of workmanship and the lashes used is great but other aspects of my experience were lacking, one she was late for my appointment (not even at the salon yet), two the next client came in during my application and was chit chatting with Alma. I just find these two things very unprofessional, especially for me being a new client that was highly recommended by my sister and mom. That being said she does do quality work, better than other lash salons in the area that I have been to. Also her prices are great as well. It is totally worth it to pay the extra $ for the volume lashes they are extremely light and fluffy! Before when I had extensions on they really bothered me and I could always feel them on my eyes. The lashes Alma uses however are super fine and soft so I don’t even notice they are there.

I love getting my eye lashes done with Alma. They always look amazing. She makes it very comfortable and relaxing. The studio is super cute and inviting. Alma uses the lightest weight lashes but they look so full! I wear contacts so it’s super important they don’t irritate my eyes, Alma does a great job at making them feel like they’re your own. Can’t wait for my next appt!

SO AMAZING!!! Alma used super light (weight) and super natural looking lashes on me. They look and fee so natural! i surf and am very active. They are great in the water!!! I can hardly feel them! Great location in a very unique building. It offers a vintage-​loft feel. I love my lashes and will def go back. My lashes look lush and PERFECT. Each hair looks magnificent, I can’t even express it. The pictures on Unilocal do her work no justice, if that’s even possible. I HIGHLY recommend Alma. I got home from my appointment and my neighbor loved them so much, she is booking an appointment today.

The quality and attention to detail that Alma provides is second to none! I’ve been getting lashes done by Alma for several months now and I can’t count the number of compliments I get. They are always full and last 3 full weeks, if not more! People can’t believe how natural and integrated the lashes look. Alma is beyond professional and treats every single client with respect and truly customizes the lashes for each individual. You can’t beat the quality and price anywhere… I HIGHLY recommend Alma! My daughter regularly get her lashes done with Alma, would have to say that from the moment you enter this establishment… you feel a confidence that the job will be done well! So I have not problem when it is due for my daughter to get them replaced and refill because they look natural and they last a long time. Prices are really competitive and if you are lucky you can get one of the Groupon deals. My daughter was nervous her first time but the ambiance and the professional touch… put her to sleep!!! Beware ladies… there is a lot of competition out there but if you want it done right the first time, I would highly recommend Alma V!!!

Alma you are extraordinary! My lashes are really light and thin and you brought them into existence! I had a lash tint and curl and now I feel like I finally have lashes! Alma Valladares is amazing! I went to other places before and the lashes only lasted for few days or they didn’t look natural… Don’t waste your time checking out other places! Alma is awesome, has lots of experience and the spa is beautiful, clean and peaceful atmosphere … great location in Newport… Great service and ambiance!!!

I was referred to Alma by a mutual client (I am a hairstylist). My clients had been asking about eyelash extensions for months and, having never had them myself, I had nobody to refer them to. I decided to try Alma after she came highly recommended and see what all the fuss was about.
Since I had never had eyelash extensions before, I was pretty nervous. I didn’t need to be. I was very impressed with Alma’s service. Her shop is adorable and easy to find. She was really nice and used aromatherapy to calm my nerves during the application process. I actually even fell asleep! I have received tons of compliments on my new lashes and will definitely refer clients to her in the future.

Amazing facial by Alma V. It was very luxurious and in a spa atmosphere which adds to the experience. I was introduced to some amazing products Radical Oxygen Mask and Tata Harper Essential Oils. My skin was left feeling clean and very soft. I would definitely refer my friends!
