I have been taking my car there for the past 15 years The people at Rubens are wonderful every time I have a problem I called the service manager rafael he always goes out of his way to help me!!! So I would never take my car to another place but rubens Imports!!!

Had a ck engine light on a couple of weeks ago on my ML. Expecting a $$ repair bill, I took a gulp and brought it into Rubens. Turned out to be just a loose vacuums line! They were honest and fast. Very solid people! would highly recommend! Thank you JP!

I just bought a Mercedes GLK350 from JP at Ruben’s and had an excellent experience from beginning to end. The car is in fantastic condition, looks and feels brand new, and I was given a really fair price, less expensive than other dealers in the area for the same model car that is in better condition. What was most surprising was how efficient the process was. I even got a better financing rate than my credit union was offering. I highly recommend this dealership.

Great service and great prices. We have had our Mercedes serviced here for eight years and would highly recommend them. It took them a bit to figure some issue THAT no one else could solve… And they gave us a loaner car every time it kept happening… these men are true pros and just Great people!

PS We have been taking our Mercedes to Rubens for almost 10 years and have received great service from their knowledgeable mechanics and staff. We decided to purchase a larger vehicle and found the Mercedes SUV we were looking for at Rubens. JP was a pleasure to deal with and the transaction was completed smoothly and with no pressure whatsoever. I can see why they have so many repeat customer sales! I would definitely recommend buying a car from JP at Rubens.

This is not your run of the mill used car dealer. Buying and servicing a car can be scary but know JP will always need honest about a vehicle.

JP is the best !! Was not even looking for a Mercedes and a preowned one at that. Actually I was in the market for a Z4 (being a BMW driver). Thought I would stop by this dealer to look at the cars they had in stock. I test drove a E class Mercedes’s and the next day I came by to drive it again and ended up buying it. Being my first ever preowned car and Mercedes I’m more than impressed of the «like new» condition and how quiet it runs and drives down the road. JP is super nice and professional. He gave a great car at a great price. The prices here are more than fair. I plan on buying a car from him again. JP is very trust worthy. I LOVE the car I bought here! Thank you very much JP!!!

Recently took my 2005 Dodge Sprinter Van with a 2500 Diesel engine.
I was towed to the property after another so called mechanic botched a repair on my turbo… I have finally found a honest, knowledgable mechanic shop. Rapheal took the time to teach me what was going on when my engine was taken out. Always called to keep me in the loop when something was found and invite me down to take a look…
Even though my repairs took some extra time, they had a loaner Mercedes for me to use. What more could you ask for…
I will feel much safer driving cross country, knowing my van was thoroughly gone thru and repaired.
They even touched up my hitch and wheels with paint… no charge.
I will stick with this family run business… they did great by me…;-)

Bought my first Mercedes from Ruben’s in 2001 and recently just purchased another one. JP is the Sales Manager, and he made this a great car buying experience! No pressure just a good deal. Great on follow-​up and follow-​through!
I have always gotten my cars serviced at Ruben’s and they have an expertly-​trained staff that fixes only the things that need fixing. And, I might add, at a fair price!

My father took his car in and paid over a thousand dollars to get the car fully worked up before I bought it. Less than a week into using the car, the coolant level needs to be checked. When I called this place which unfortunately is about an hour and a half from where I live they essentially told me to go take it to my local autoshop. When I expressed that this was something that should have been checked in the full work up, I was told that the «coolant level was probably fine when we checked it.» I expressed numerous times that it was disturbing to hear I would need to pay to have something remedied that was supposed to be checked when the car was serviced and continually it was conveyed to me that it was not their issue.
I found this upsetting because at no point did the person who answered the phone apologize, offer to check with the person who serviced that car, take down any of my personal information or offer any advice on why this would be occurring if they were not responsible.
This seems like a small issue but its the blatantly lack of customer service that pisses me off. I am not unreasonable but if this is how they treat customers who pay significant amounts of money to tune up their cars, I don’t really want to offer them my patronage.

I bought my Mercedes SlK 350 from this place almost 2 years ago. I had a fantastic experience! All I can say: JP is such a great person to deal with, he was extremely helpful, understanding, not pushy salesman-​like and stood by his every word. When checking out the car (which was in amazing shape i may add), I noticed that driver seat warmer wasn’t working properly and the trunk hydraulic pump opener was not very tight… JP had it replace before I came back to pick up the car and in perfect working condition till this day:) Would highly recommend Rubens!

Have been dealing with these great folks since 1988 for service and car purchases. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Why? They are hard working folks who know their business and offer great service. I just bought my second Mercedes from them a few weeks ago. JP found me just what I wanted from price, color, mileage and model. The process was seamless and simple. All i had to do was pick up the loaner.

Also, for a Mercedes and Imported sports car outlet in a resort town — The prices are AMAZINGly low!
While they were replacing my transmission (in one day) I was tempted by several of there well priced classics and spotless imports, they also have great prices, financing on anything! Raphael and the Crew– A+ for integrity, Bravo!!!

We bought a 2004 MBZ wagon from JP at Ruben’s. During the initial process he never once asked «what will it take to put you in this car today?». He was low key yet professional. After making our verbal agreement we left with the plan to return the following day to do the paperwork & pick up the car. When we returned we found a very clean car, FULL of gas and with new brake pads. On the final inspection it was found that the existing brake pads had only 30% like left in them. So we got new pads at no extra expense to us.

I purchased a Mercedes from JP at Rubens in May and the whole experience was really great. They took every care in making sure that all of my needs were met. There were a few things I wanted fixed/​repaired prior to and after buying the car and they took care of everything for me, just as they had promised. I have been back a few times to have the car serviced and they gave me a loaner car, which is very convenient. They have always been very friendly, the work has been done in a timely manner, and the work was done to my satisfaction. JP is a great guy and he made me very comfortable with his low pressure approach to sales. He also helped me with an extended warranty. I highly recommend Rubens for sales and service.

THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE AND I AM NOT THE TYPE TO USUALLY COMPLAIN ABOUT SERVICE BUT THIS PLACE IS HONESTLY THE WORST MECHANIC I HAVE EVER BEEN TO BY FAR AND IVE BEEN TO ABOUT 4 DIFFERENT BMW MECHANICS WHO HAVE WORKED MY BMW. It started off when I took my car in to my old mechanic in huntington beach while I was in town there (Hansa Motors on mcfadden wonderful place!) I needed a timing belt, water pump, and tensioner. He quoted 490 but was busy that week so I took it home for the day. I always see Rubens driving home I live locally in Dana Point and thought I should give them a chance especially seeing as my belt was on its last legs and I didn’t want to drive far (pretty much whole reason I tried them). First they quoted me $ 90 more $ 580 for the same repair as someone who specializes specifically in BMW’s. I reluctantly agreed since I needed the car to get to work ASAP. I SPECIFICALLY TOLD THEM «if there are any other problems or thing’s I should know about call and let me know because I don’t have a lot of money to spend on it right now, but I’d probably bring it back when I had the extra money.» That is pretty much word for word EXACTLY what I said. So they next day at work I’m on bathroom break and check my phone to see that I had missed a call from the mechanic who left a message saying just to call back and the number (which I couldn’t do at the time since I was at work). I’m 18 and when I dropped my car off I had her pick me up and put her number as a secondary number to call. Turns out the mechanic decided to call her up and ask my mother if they should repair a radiator hose and to engine fan blades (I GAVE HER NOR THE MECHANICS ANY PERMISSION TO DO ANY EXTRA WORK ON MY VEHICLE) which she unknowingly agreed to thinking I would want that. So when I go to pick up the car turns out the $ 580 bill is now $ 740 for two radiator hoses and to repair the stupid fan which they supposedly charged no labor on (looked up prices myself unless they buy them for higher then consumer retail then I certainly doubt that). So they had someone else approve repairs for me without my consent at work after specifically telling them to make sure to contact ME if anything happened (they could have at least said something about that in the message I had no idea if they were just calling for me to pick up my car). And after all this they show me how my lower control arm is messed up and they literally demonstrate it by vigorously shaking my wheel back and forth (now when I drive and turn left I hear it squeak so loud which it NEVER did before even if it did need to be replaced I feel like they literally where trying to break the thing jiggling it like crazy. They also did the same with my shocks leaving dirty handprints all over my hood while demonstrating how bad my shocks are. The funny thing is when they showed me all this like 4 mechanics were all around us like they where ready for us to complain and they were obviously well trained at explaining why your bill is so high at the same time further trying to drain your money. My car is a 1992 3 series with 200,000+ miles on it and they treated my car like crap which makes me so mad because its very important to me. Honestly if you care about the long term of your car and want someone who is fair priced and actually cares and shows some respect for your vehicle DONT COME HERE. Maybe if your rich and have a leased car or don’t give a crap about the future of your current car then Id recommend them for the convenience. ONE OF THE FUNNIEST PARTS IS HOW THEY SUPPOSEDLY ARE SUPPOSED TO RETURN YOUR CAR WASHED! I washed my car 2 days before bringing it in and it came out of there shop much dirtier then when I brought it in. To add insult to injury they left a 2×2 inch oil or coolant spill on my hood (didn’t even come out the same day i got it back even after washing and waxing). They left water spots all down the side of my car which destroys paint especially on cars 20+ YEARS OLD!!! Come on now these people are a joke. I even have pictures if anyone wants to pm me for them I’d gladly email them to you. I had that bad gut feeling from the moment I walked in there they are pretty good actors but you can FEEL that they don’t give a crap about you or your car they JUST want your money AND AS MUCH OF IT AS POSSIBLE. Please heed my advice or take it in at your own risk there are many other bmw (OR WHATEVER FOREIGN CARE YOU HAVE) mechanics in south OC that are better, respectful, and most importantly genuine. These people have fake written all over them and disrespected my car and my requests. Ya after they threw on the EXTRA REPAIR WITHOUT MY VERBAL OR WRITTEN PERMISSION even though I specifically asked they do so what are you supposed to do tell them to take it apart and brake the fan blades again and put on the hoses they had ripped off and destroyed? PLEASE DONT GO HERE IM NOT EXAGGERATING OR BEING DISHONEST THIS IS ALL 100% TRUE COMING FROM SOMEONE WHO WORKS IN SERVICE INDUSTRY.
