The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel

Stayed here before, and had a wonderful time, but this time the customer service was terrible. It took 3 rooms until we got one that wasn’t occupied. I got a warm beer at the pool. The elevator stops 6 inches above the floor, I was pushing a stroller. This is not what you expect from a Ritz. Those simple things you expect to be easier than a 4 star hotel, are not here.
The hotel is beautiful and the bell desk is great, but probably will stay somewhere else next time.

The view is phenomenal! Came here for a quick bite and a drink before the beach. Our waitress gave great suggestions on what to order. Definitely a must see spot when visiting Laguna Beach.

Generally incompetent. I made reservations as a gift to my parents for a stay at the hotel. Even called in person to ensure that I would be billed for the stay. They even had me fax in an additional form to ensure that my credit card would be billed.
Guess what, despite all that effort, the incompetent idiots at the Ritz of all places screwed it up. They said they didn’t have my credit card info anymore and my parents just ended up footing the bill for their own gift. When I called to complain, the representative had a million excuses and no resolution. He tried to blame me for not putting my credit card info on the authorization form… that being said, there was no request on that form that states I had to write it in again. Even when I called to confirm to see that they received my authorization form they said NOTHING. It gets better, then he claimed my email address didn’t work… well if it didn’t work, how did they email me the card authorization form to begin with. He thought «maybe your inbox is broken.» Since the Ritz is incompetent looks like I’m getting reservations at the 4 seasons. Bunch of morons.

Another amazing family stay! The staff is great and helped us with every need. Crystal setup a welcome packet for our kids… the only issue we have now… the kids think all hotels are this perfect. Beaches, breakfast in bed, smores, pool and toys!
Only small issue is the somewhat small and dated rooms/​facilities.
A must do…

I got married here a month ago, and I cannot say enough positive things about this resort and the customer service. First off, I wanted to acknowledge Kayley Summers, Michele K. (event manager), and Ruban (not sure of his last name, but he helped us during our final food selection tasting). They were all absolutely incredible and so helpful during the entire planning process. This was the only venue I looked at, and though it was pricey, the service was well worth it. Kayley was my coordinator and assisted me with absolutely everything. She was so patient. kind, and absolutely stunning! I planned my wedding in a little over six weeks, so things got a little chaotic at times, but Kayley made the event planning flow well.
For my next special event, this will be the first venue I look into! Nowhere else compares :)

This was an unforgettable trip! I had never been to this area of California and let me tell you… it is BEEAUTIFUL! The Ritz Carlton is always phenomenal however our room overlooking the Pacific was as good as it gets. We brought our new frenchie and the staff was so welcoming to her they even provided a toy and food/​water bowls. We had dinner in the bar the first evening and did a lot of room service on our balcony. I cannot wait to go back!!!

Came here to meet a client and this place does not disappoint. The lounge is amazing and if you need a place to discuss business in an elegant place or just enjoy a drink at the lounge with out being bothered. This place is it. Stayed once in a suite and love it the service and class. Staff is great. Service above and beyond.
Pros. Everything plus you get the ocean view
Cons. None that I cam think of. Maybe just hearing people complain how expensive it is. There is a reason its nice.

Would rank their Sunday brunch a 10+ if I could. Impeccable. Highest props to Chef and to Managment. Service superior to similar resorts. And of course the view is worth 1,000. Ps. The scallop with jerky pork belly will put your taste buds in spasm. Can’t wait for my next Sunday brunch.

This is definitely one of my FAVORITE hotels that I’ve ever stayed in, if not my favorite! I felt like royalty from the moment that I pulled my car up to the valet. They were so warm, professional, and attentive! I’ve NEVER seen that at any hotel before.
Concierge was equally as warm, and my first room had a
view of the fire pit! Talk about clutch on a chilly March day at dusk – plus, the marble floors in the bathroom made me feel as if I was a video girl in a Rick Ross video. LOL. There was a mistake in booking, so they double booked my room on the second night and upgraded me to CLUB LEVEL!!! Oh snap – a world I’ve never experienced in a hotel. It was like having a personal concierge, and the room had an even better view of the whole coast.
The food on demand was awesome, and I loved having access to great workout facilities that overlooked the water. If I’m ever back in town, I would definitely return to this hotel.

Our stay here at the Ritz Carlton has been amazing! As soon as I booked our babymoon, Nathalie the guest relations coordinator reached out to personalize any requests for our stay. She went out of her way to help book a motherhood massage for my wife at their spa. I was extremely grateful they upgraded us to an ocean view and had a welcoming gift to celebrate our special occasion. The views here are amazing, the staff is five stars, and I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a trip to remember! I’m so glad my co worker recommended us to stay here! Thank you for amazing trip for the wife and I so far.

Simply the best! From the moment I checked in, the Ritz staff was so helpful and accommodating. The grounds are extremely beautiful and the scenic views are breathtaking. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a beautiful upscale hotel. Extremely lovely week there and I hope to return soon.

December 2015 A quick stop to rest for the evening. My Husband Surprised me with a Spa Treatment was on point, after planning a 50 guest baby shower a three day event in Riverside and much needed quiet time. Beautiful Views and wonderful dinner in our Room and A beautiful Sunset with an outdoor fire place every girls dream. I would have to say short stay not much to do a good place for Quiet time the Gym ways Amazing you look out over the Ocean I would work out ²⁴⁄₇.

There’s not much to say here other than the fact that this Ritz has my heart.
With that said, if your hearts already taken, I highly recommend you don’t even step on premise.
I give 1 star to the valet boys, 1 star to the coffee shop gals, 2 stars to the view and 1 star to everyone else there that helped contribute to this stolen heart.

What a gorgeous hotel and grounds. You are greeted with a handful of valets and welcomed to this lush resort on the water in Orange County. The outdoor patio bar is the perfect place to relax and have a drink while you wait for your room. The rooms are spacious and nice especially the views of the ocean from our 4^th floor balcony. Walking trails that lead to the beach are filled with nice locals and out of towners enjoying the views. The hotel inside bar is also a fantastic place to post up for a nightcap and a place to meet fellow stayers. The breakfast restaurant Raya sits with ocean views, and enough staff to fill your water and coffee. They are spendy, if I recall, about $ ¹⁸⁄₂₀ for oatmeal with some fruit? They have fresh carrot juice, and grapefruit juice which are so good. The breakfast tacos are huge and they bring you two. I had the egg whites with avocado, toast, sprouts, and sauteed greens with asparagus. Fantastic and healthy. The hotel gym is great, ocean views (feeling the theme here) lots of equipment, not many free weights but enough cardio and machines to get a substantial workout. Towels available and so are waters.
Call down for your car because valet gets tricky. Even when you call down, prepare to wait. At one point, we waited for like 15 mins. Great vibe here, the hotel is filled with red roses and flowers and feels beautiful and clean. Will definitely be back.

We had our son Bday weekend here and he had a blast just like my wife and I did.

This isn’t my first time here but my first check in on Unilocal.Hard to describe this simply beautiful hotel, and the excellent service you receive. My room had an unbelievably beautiful view, simply breathtaking. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a beautiful upscale hotel, with a stunning view. It is by no means cheap, but very much worth every penny for the stunning views & the excellent service.
I’ll definitely be back.

The family and I went here after Thanksgiving day dinner– yesterday. It was decorated very nicely and of course, the views were AMAZING. It was extremely busy with people celebrating the holidays. They had a display made completely out of food that was holiday themed. It was basically Santa vacationing with a Star Wars theme. It took a 1000 hours for their pastry chefs to make the display. Pretty awesome. The staff are friendly and overall, it’s a really nice hotel. The flower display in the lobby that contained many orchards was exquisite. BTW– worst coffee ever from the little coffee shop (we are holding the cups in photo). We all threw the coffee out-​really should have returned and refunded it at $ 17.28 for 3 cups. You’d think they’d have good coffee… you’d be wrong with that thought!

My husband and I spent an amazing four nights and five days at this amazing hotel. We came to witness our friends getting married. Our experience was unforgettable. From the views to the hospitality of the staff we were blessed with it all.
1) room– our room had a pool view. clean and roomy. Loved that they always supply water with turn down service. Love the slippers, robes and chocolates at turn down.
2) gym– one of the best I’ve used in a hotel. Great view. Loved the machines. Appeared new and clean. Plenty of cardio machine, weights, weight machines, kettle bells and more. Someone was always in there cleaning. They provide disposal ear phones if you had forgotten yours, cold wet towels, dry towels, and plenty of bottled water.
3) the grounds– amazing views and access to the beach. Plenty of chairs to to watch the sunset with a bottle of wine. Beauty of the grounds was breathtaking and unable to express in words how beautiful it was.
4) the wedding– top notch. Amazing and beautiful. Room for the reception included a balcony, fireplace and was tuck away at the end of the hall. Food amazing lobster and steak. Drinks flowing. Not sure how much was the ritz or the wedding planner with the add ons but either way perfection.
My husband and I can’t wait to go back! And we will!!!

Such a nice place for a hotel. Depends on the room you could wake up smelling and seeing the ocean.
I stayed here one night and the service was great. Especially at the lobby it smelled like, I assume it was flower. Anyways it was great. The location is very offside and quiet.

Just gorgeous, location and interior is breath taking. We are at EnoSteak, next time I’d like to try Raya with spectacular ocean views. We sat outside at night overlooking the ocean and having a cocktail. The rooms overlooking the ocean would’ve fantastic to stay in, definitely on our to do list soon. The bottom level have outdoor fire-​pits.
We’ve been to the RC in Bal Harbour in Miami, as well as NYC’s Central Park location, they, too, were pretty, but this location seemed even more lovely, I’m sure the ocean views are what did it.
