I can’t give them a star at all!!! We use to go there until one bad incident. My husband picked up food from there one day and when we opened the food containers the broccoli had blueish spots on the chicken never seen this before and we clearly were not going to eat it and take a risk in getting food poisoning or whatever it was from. I packed it up went back spoke to the short Chinese lady at the counter simply tried to explain and show her our concern she wasn’t nice about it and got very defensive?!? She kept yelling its broccoli? I finally was fed up w/her lack of professionalism and attitude and said«No this is not broccoli» its blue and blk broccoli is green as I showed her the deference, she just grabbed the order and on top charged me for the small rice that I forgot at home«really» funny thing is we still planed on still going back there in the future but since she had such a stupid attitude we all stopped. I applaud her for being so stupid and unprofessional about the situation but then again expected something like this to happen wouldn’t had an experience like that in a real restaurant!!!

The BEST Chinese food I have ever had. The spring rolls have chicken and cheese in them, totally Americanized but AWESOME. They make my chicken and cashews with sauce on the side no extra charge and their Cashews are so yummy(i think they might be from heaven). Their crab Rangoon are never too greasy and nothing has been over sauced(the broccoli is still crunchy). I would always recommend them to anyone in the area, seriously they are awesome.

Great food here from all the times we have ordered. No msg, nice lunch specials and friendly staff. Probably one of the better Chinese food joints in the area, though I still prefer Jeffrey’s up the road a bit. However we live right next to Moon Star and I can literally walk there so that might also bias my opinion. The wontons and dumplings are nice and tasty!

My absolute favorite Chinese take out in Danbury. For starters, they have a very, very clean kitchen. Their food is very tasty and they use no MSG. That’s right, no MSG! That is unheard of for most Chinese takeout spots. Their fried rice is not that usual artificial yellow color, it’s not drowned in soy sauce either and is probably one of the best fried rices I’ve ever had. Their boneless spare ribs are really broiled in the oven and taste superb. They have good quality ingredients and food, and they take the time to make it that way. If you’re looking for greasy, old Chinese food, I suggest you visit other local Chinese take spots. If you’re looking for fresh, non-greasy, tasty Chinese, this is the place!

My quest to find the best Chinese take-out place in the greater Danbury area lead me to Moon Star a few nights ago. It was difficult to find any information, but the reviews I managed to find were generally 4⁄5 and 5 star reviews. Well… I was totally dissappointed. To be fair, I only ordered one item, so perhaps the rest of the menu is better. I ordered the Sesame Chicken entrée and subbed eggplant for the broccoli. First off, they upcharged for the substitution — which is understandable — BUT — there were literally 2 tiny pieces of eggplant in the entire dish. As for the appearance and taste — blah — just regular ol’ take-out Sesame Chicken: dark, gooey, overly sweet, small clumps. I was really hoping for better than or at least on par to Jeffrey’s Chinese Kitchen quality — which is nice orange, lightly fried, long strips of chicken, with tons of veggies and restaurant quality taste. Given that Jeffrey’s is less than a mile away from this place — I would definitely recommend skipping Moon Star. PS: My runner up so far is Bethel Chinese Kitchen. Kind of pricier though.

Great Chinese Take-Out place. Pretty reasonably priced. I loooooove their WooShoo(fried) Duck, Curry Shrimp and any of the(wet) noodle dishes. Parking and getting back on the road is a bit of a pain… but they food is worth it.
