Not my first time here… these days, I often wait to write a review to ensure consistency. I’ll go at least twice, just to be sure. But have no fear, Phở Vietnam is the real deal. The service is sweet and efficient. And the food is among the best Vietnamese I have EVER had. And I’ve had Vietnamese quite a few times in quite a few places. No hollow boast, there. From the phở, to the egg rolls(not the crappy takeout kind-these are crispy little cigars of pork and veggies), to the amazing bun bowls… ahhhh. Going home happy tonight.

This place is a hidden gem. First of all, I had very low expectations, being from Philly(little saigon of America), I really love vietnamese food! We have fantastic restaurants and I have been eating vietnamese around the world for years. So that being the comparison, they are still phenomenal. The broth is rich and delicious, perfect seasoning with hearty cuts of meat. The flavor is delicate and the chicken broth rivals the beef, which isn’t always the case. Everything tasted very fresh. Above and beyond that, the service is awesome. Quick, attentive service. Drinks are constantly attended to, you’re checked on and you won’t be waiting too long for your food. The owners are actually from Philly so that all makes sense. All in all, place is 2 thumbs up. Must try. You’re going to get authentic, delicious vietnamese food in a totally unexpected place. I couldn’t be more thrilled that we found it and took the chance! Danbury, you are very lucky!

Addictive, fantastic, phenomenal! ! Must try if you like phở and Vietnamese cuisine. I had the mi wonton and added beef balls… i cant even describe how delicious it was. Broth was flavorful… wontons were chock full of meat in a paper thin wrapper. Just go and try it… like right now.

The Phở is great but the toppings are so little is sad. They cut the beef balls into small slices. Coming from California surrounded by great Vietnamese food, I have to say their soup base is good but not giving the true value to the customers. Will go there with cravings only since there is not much phở choices around the area. overall«C» in my opinion.

The soup tasted decent, so that’s why it’s two stars instead of one. This is probably the only phở place in Danbury that I know of, so I didn’t really expect much. But I was pretty disappointed with what I got. Maybe it was a bad batch, or they just gave us the last one, but the noodles I got were still hard and stuck together even though I separated them in the broth. They were short, like what you would get after you’ve already eaten ¾ of the bowl — except for ours, they were the entire bowl. My bf got the extra large, took three bites, and he was already done with his. I finished mine and was still digging for more noodles(and I usually can’t even finish one bowl). They also were really frugal with the meat, even though my bf ordered extra. The lady next to me also ordered phở, but she was able to twirl it on a fork and hand it to her friend, so I guess they really did just give us scraps of noodles. If I crave phở once more I’ll try again, but I hope they don’t serve any more of those to customers.

Great place in Danbury. BYOB including carrying in a Starbucks coffee. For 2 people order 4 apps and one main entrée — lots of food! Great service and kind staff. We will be back soon.

Phở seafood was great. The girl that runs the register and answers phone needs an attitude adjustment. Needs a reminder of who pays the rent. Food is great. Rest of staff on point. Worth the trip.

Great food and service, this is not fine dining and you don’t want it to be as you slurp down the great tasty food.

This place is great. Great food and big portions. The wife had never eaten Phở so I took her there, she is hooked on this place. We order out from here as well and the quality is just as good as eating in. The short Rib dumplings are fantastic, the soups are great as well. Check this place out

This place is seriously phonomenal! My first time here was a few months ago and I craved it strongly afterwards. Like, I didn’t just want phở. I wanted it from this place. It’s so phở-king good. The ingredients are very fresh and well prepared. My favorite part is the small vibe. It’s an unassuming little place but the food — the food! Now you really don’t need to go to Viet Nam for all the authentic flavor. Today(3÷18÷16) for lunch I had the phở combo with tripe, brisket, beef, and tendon. Admittedly I’ve never had tendon(on purpose). It was soft and gelatinous but in a good way. The tripe wasn’t rubbery like I expected. The brisket melted in my mouth. The steak was tender and flavorful. There’s not one bad thing to say. Price is very reasonable. Portions are perfect(so full!). Atmosphere is clean and quaint. Food is spot on. Phở real.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I think I just turned Vietnamese. This food was so good I just packed my bags for a permanent relocation to Vietnam. Plus I hear the cost of living is cheaper… P. s. the waitress was great and super informative. P. p. s. Don’t go by the smell(as it smells like a freshly laid turd) but the taste is asstronomical. See what I did there. Added that extra S.

What a difference one year makes. While food is still fine, service completely went to hell. Expected better service than what we just received. Don’t expect service from now on, but the food is still good.

I cannot overstate my delight for this hidden gem of an eatery. The 12-or-so table dining room is a bit small and traffic sometimes becomes congested as the dine-out customers come and go with their meals, but, in this customer’s opinion, the simple, energetic space lends the restaurant a very genuine and cozy feel which is later backed up by the delicious and filling cuisine. This being only my second visit to Phở Vietnam, I haven’t made my way through much of the menu, but what I have had has not disappointed. If you are planning to come in for your first visit, I highly recommend going with the Phở; it is what they are known for and rightly so. If you can will yourself away and try one of their«big plates,» I highly recommend the caramelized pork & bok choi, which is what I enjoyed tonight. The service is the real staple of this restaurant. It looks like a four-person team was manning the floor. Our waitress, Sophie, who I highly recommend asking for(she was excellent and really knowledgeable and enthusiastic,) took really good care of us, and when she was busy at other tables, the rest of the staff made sure our waters were never empty and empty plates were promptly cleared from the table. Go check this place whether you’re a phở fanatic or simply curious, and get the sampler as an appetizer, it’s not on the menu but they will know what your talking about!

Stopped here after a long ride home from Pennsylvania. We drove through Danbury to get home so I looked up a restaurant to eat and saw that PV had 4+ stars so we decided to stop in. The parking lot is very small and there are signs for most parking spots being claimed by the other businesses. We got lucky that someone was leaving as we pulled up so we got a spot right up front. There isn’t much room to wait until you are seated and we had a young woman tell us it would be a minute. Then a young man was yelling at her asking why we were standing there and came over to bring us to a table. He never smiled and continued to bark orders and complaints at the staff throughout our lunch. It was very awkward and you could tell the waitresses were very stressed out because of it. That covers the restaurant/ambiance. Now, on to the food. I got vegetable rolls which were good. I also got a boon bowl(forgot the correct spelling) and the crispy tofu it came with was DELICIOUS!!! I don’t know what they coat it with, but generally speaking tofu is pretty bland. This tofu actually had a great taste. I hate to say it… but almost like chicken. My boyfriend got phở soup and I tried the broth just to give it a taste and it was pretty good. Overall it was okay. I wouldn’t come back simply because I live nowhere near Danbury and the manager made the entire visit very awkward. Also, they seem to prefer plastic payments. We handed the waitress $ 100 bill and she had to have the manager come open the register for change. And, I know they have to do it, but whenever someone holds up my money to make sure it’s real, it’s offensive. Invest in one of those markers that you can discretely verify the currency is real. For the record, if I had fake money, I wouldn’t be blowing it at a phở restaurant. For the record, 3 Stars = «A-OK»

Service is beyond slow. The chicken lemongrass spring rolls were good. I have to pay extra for the Thai chilies?! The phở was ok. I’ve had truly amazing phở, particularly in San Diego many, many times, but this was bland. The prices are low. The bathroom was FILTHY& tiny. The ONLY thing that deserves a 5 star is the traditional very authentic Vietnamese iced coffee — I’d drive quite a ways just to satiate the craving as there is absolutely zero substitute!

A lot of people complain about the weird pricing scheme(pay per seasoning level) and its justifiably weird, but if you go for just the phở it’s an amazing and oddly authentic stop. The nearest phở places, for me at least, is a 50 min drive to Bridgeport and I don’t feel like getting robbed, run over by ATV gangs, or shot today so this is a fine choice in my opinion. Fresh spring rolls where accurate as well, so this place makes me happy. Super sweet bubble tea with huge tapioca balls to gross out your friends and family. yum.
