I’ve been popping in here for years, but it’s definitely been a while since I actually stopped by. I used to frequent this a couple times during the week since my best friend was a manager at Petland(no longer there) and on his break we’d browse the wares in Warehouse(heh). From what I remembered, their selection was impeccable. Flash forward to last night when I’m on my way to another buddy’s place and I’m in dire need of a six-pack. I walked into Warehouse for the first time in about a year and honestly, nothing has changed. The staff was still super welcoming and friendly, their selection was second to none, and the variety of craft beer was pretty insane. Nostalgic at its finest, for sure. I walked out with a four-pack of Six Point Four Beans(yeah yeah, shoot me for not getting a six-pack like I originally planned on doing) and a bomber of Stone’s 08.08.08 Vertical Epic rerelease. Good night in beer pickup history. Love this place, be back soon.

I’ve been coming here for years and they’ve been very friendly and helpful. Good prices, too. Excellent selection of cordials and liqueurs, including some hard-to-find ones. I don’t even live nearby, but it’s right off the highway and worth a stop.

Is this my first 5-star review? It seems all the bad reviews of this store make reference to wine, so they are probably written by wine snobs, who are an insufferable bunch. Being just a stone’s throw from the NY/CT border, this is the place to go for Putnam County residents(like me), not only for an excellent bourbon selection(featuring some I haven’t been able to find near me), but excellent prices; some of which are far lower than NY prices. During a recent visit, I inquired about a bourbon they didn’t have(no, it wasn’t Pappy), and the chap at the counter was quite friendly, and offered to try and track it down for me. I gave him my information, and got a call a couple of days later explaining the difficulty they will likely experience in finding this particular product. Again, friendly, and quite apologetic, even though they had nothing to be sorry for. It’s just a hard bourbon to come by. Not their fault. And yes, their craft beer selection, and prices, are excellent. Cheapest price I’ve ever seen for Oskar Blues Ten Fidy, which is one of my favorites. I have nothing even remotely negative to say about this store.

When writing a review online of a liquor store, one’s next step might be to reconsider some life decisions. One sentence in and I’m already getting off track. Anyway, the guys who run this place are super cool, nice, and knowledgeable. The selection of craft beers is pretty nice, and there’s tons of great wine and single malt whiskeys. Most people choose where they buy alcohol based on location, but you’re on Unilocal and reading a review, so you’re bound to try new places out sometimes. If you choose who to give your business to based on how you’re treated, check this place out and you won’t regret it.

Selection of beer is decent the problem was the man working the counter he was by far the rudest person I have ever encountered. I am still in disbelief as to how he spoke to me as if I was a child, if you work in customer service you should at least have the ability to speak to another person without yelling and talking down to them. I was so upset at how my interaction went with him that I decided to not even purchase the items I had picked out. I will be sure to never go to this establishment again. I usually drive from NY to go to this particular store but there are many other stores I would rather spend my money at then this one. I have also heard from many other people that they have had issues with this rude man. My advice spend your money at store where the owner deserves your business.

What a thief… Overpriced just like the gas up here at the Mobil station next to this strip mall… 99 Ridge Monte Bello for $ 130 a bottle!!! Can get it off of wine-searcher for $ 100 bucks per… When asked if those were his best prices… He answers me in a cocky fashion and said«absolutely». I would have easily spent 1−2k in there today… Guess someone else will get my business… Thank you wine-searcher!!!

This place has a great micro brew selection and the staff can make recommendations if your not sure what your in the mood for. I have found some rare beers here including Ghandi Bot, Flower Power, and others. They seem to know what are the hot beers on the marketplace and they can tell you if they are going to be getting it in. The wine selection is also very good and the prices seem very competitive. I have been impressed with the recommendations as well.

Large selection. Prices are OK, maybe a little high for the danbury area. Customer service is terrible though. I recently bought a Barolo(~$ 35 bottle of wine) to take on a trip to Vermont for my birthday. Unfortunately as soon as we opened it I could tell it had that musty, basement like smell and a corked taste. I’ve had this happen to me at a restaurant once, and the characteristics of a corked bottle of wine are very distinct. However, never having this happen to me with a bottle from a store, I poured the bottle out, saved the cork and enjoyed the rest of my weekend. Upon trying to return the bottle to this store, the two staff members at the counter harshly turned down my request saying I should not have poured it out and that I may have drank it. Having never had to return a bottle of wine before I was dumbfounded and taken aback by their rude abruptness. Even if this was a policy(I’ve never seen it written down) the staff should have worked more to resolve my complaint. I am the type of person who doesn’t even return a bad meal at a restaurant and would never consider this with even a lesser bottle of wine but when you spend good money on what’s supposed to be quality wine you expect quality service with it and this place does not provide that whatsoever.

It’s only August and already an impressive selection of pumpkin beers. Dogfish sold here! Good selection of reasonably priced wines. Bonus: Starbucks right next door — sip your iced latte while browsing the aisles! Also — good selection of Rieslings here.

Pretty good selection, and not bad prices(compared to NYC liquor stores, but then again, the caveat is that you need to be in Danbury).
