I had a very good experience too. It was the combination of the selection of cars and the good Unilocal reviews that made me choose this location. Vito was my Sales Rep and he was very nice and easygoing. I haven’t bought a car in years and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Being a woman and going to a car dealership alone can also seem intimidating. But I did not experience that here at all! Everyone was very nice and welcoming and there was no pressure. I was able to walk the lot at my own pace and see everything I wanted. Vito walked me through options and pricing and made sure I was comfortable during every step. I did not find the car I wanted but would like to buy a car through this dealership in the future.

First time I went, they didn’t take me seriously at all. I was 20 with a good job looking to lease a jeep, they pretty much laughed at me when they found out my age without knowing my job and my income, then pretty much told me off the bat that I couldn’t afford anything, again without knowing my income, so I took my business to Kelly Jeep and they were amazing and so much more helpful, and so much less judgmental. I recently went back to just browse and see what I wanted next, and I walked around the lot for about 30 minutes (there was a few others also walking around looking) and not one single sales associate came out to help us or anyone else. As I was getting into my car to leave I noticed 4 – 5 sales associates just sitting at their desks talking. So they lost my business twice. Went back to jelly and before I could even walk across the parking lot a sales associate was heading my way! Won’t ever go back to herb chambers!

Been going here for service since I got my new vehicle. The service department is exceptional. Both advisors and manager go above and beyond to accommodate my needs and treat my vehicle right. I leave there knowing that my vehicle has been serviced with the utmost care. Highly satisfied again and again. I recommend Herb Chambers Jeep to anybody who drives one.

I originally started my search for a preowned Dodge Challenger years ago. Such a beautiful car when she came out in 2008 and I just had to have one. Well, the years went by and still no car. In late 2013 I did lease, but it was a 2014 Toyota Camry SE… great car, but FAR from a Challenger. About 6 months prior, I really started to investigate purchasing a Challenger. Lease was almost up, why not? I found the car I wanted to get… she was a 2014 Challenger R/​T shaker. Absolutely beautiful. Well, I was 2 days too late. She was sold. But do not fear review readers, there is a happy ending to the story… while I was there, low and behold — a brand new 2015 6-​speed black R/​T Shaker was on the lot. Here is where I met George Sanchez and Vito Scavo. It was an early Tuesday morning, not much going on that morning and the guys were very easy going. Vito grabbed me the keys, handed them off and said, go sit and her… I’ll be at my desk. That was that. The car spoke to me, she wanted to come home with me… so we worked out some numbers and it was just a bit too much for my budget. For giggles, I asked for lease prices… still, not where I wanted to be. I thanked the boys for their time and went back to my Camry. There I sat in the parking lot staring at the numbers. I did some quick math and decided that Challenger was for me. Walked back in to see George and we worked out a deal. Upon delivery of my new ride, she was delivered on time, clean, gassed and ready to smoke up the tires on Rt. 114. Now let’s not forget about my finance director, Joe Dipietro! We must have been cut from the same cloth. A brother from another mother. Paperwork was smooth and easy. So, as I left the dealership… happier than a pig in you know what, I give a BIG SHOUTOUT to ANYONE looking for a Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep to hook up with Vito. Tell him Dr. Love sent ya. As I always say, drive it like you stole it. It’s under warranty.

Been there twice, never bought a car from them both times I ended up going to another dealer and got better dealers by the thousands. They don’t work with you that much on price and really don’t seem to care. The funny thing is I received a call back from them shortly after and told them about a deal I got from a competitor and they were still unwilling to match it. Now I know this can be difficult with used cars at times because dealers might have paid different prices for the car and need to make a profit, but I was buying a new Ram. Good location, pointless stop.

Wow!!! This general manager is amazing!!! I bought a car in February and I had some issues… Jim realized the vehicle wasn’t up to their standards and literally made it all right by taking it back with no financial loss to me. Although I was less than satisfied by my salesperson, I encountered Perfect customer service by Jim! He was able to get me into a brand new car… Thank you to Jim Klimas general manager for making everything better than right…

Most people only feel the need to write a review if they had a negative experience which is usually true for myself as well. Rarely am I so compelled to write a positive review after a buying experience. I really can’t say enough about my sales guy Vito at Herb Chambers Danvers. Buying a car is just a frustrating experience no matter what you do. I’ve been to at least a dozen dealerships over the last few weeks, looked at at least 20 different new cars, and I can honestly say with ease that this was the best by far. Vito is an A+ salesman and really made me feel comfortable with the whole process. It’s obviously a car salesman’s job to sell as many cars as possible… but Vito’s #1 priority while my wife and I were shopping for a Jeep Cherokee seemed to be our satisfaction and comfort level with every aspect of the process. That has had a huge impact on our decision to ultimately purchase the car from Vito at Herb Chambers and honestly we couldn’t be happier. I can see why he was just as successful back home in Chicago. Five stars!

About 2 years ago I bought a 2013 Jeep (New) and have continued to get my service done here. I will try and give as detailed explanation of my experience as possible.
I was looking at 2014’s and I was shopping around a few places. I was very insistent on my price, and going back and forth between dealerships trying to get the best Jeep for the best price. They were very patient, and I’m sure I was not the easiest person to deal with and they really tried to work with me. We eventually settled on a price I was very comfortable with, and moved forward.
I will say, when I saw how much they wanted for the vehicle I traded in I was shocked, and scared, and somewhat proud (Because I loved that truck).
Returning for service has been a dream. Washing the soft top on a jeep is not always the easiest thing to do, so my oil changes come with a nice cleaning is a huge bonus.
The salespeople I worked with remember me when I come in which goes a long way and I will definitely come back when it’s time for a new vehicle.

Bill Lee, the sales manager was absolutely spectacular. My prior vehicles have been BMWs and Mercedes and i’m used to impeccable service from those dealerships. I spoke to probably 5 or 6 different dealerships and was completely underwhelmed.
Fortunately, Bill at Herb Chambers Jeep in Danvers provided service the same, if not better, then BMW and Mercedes. I’m a lunatic and asked a million questions and Bill never lost his patience.
PS: I also LOVE my wrangler four door.

I went to this dealership for the first time today because it is local to my home in Danvers. I had recently purchased an Infiniti from Herb Chambers of Boston and was treated very well so I thought Herb Chambers Jeep of Danvers would have the same service for my Jeep Wrangler. I was wrong. I recently had some work done to my Jeep and was speaking to the service person at the desk (forgot his name) about it. I had requested that he read a letter from the previous mechanic which illustrated the issue with my Jeep in great detail. While I was speaking, a person to my left interrupted us and said «what do you want us to do with it?» in a rude tone. I had no idea who this person was because he (Ray) didn’t introduce himself and did not have any identifying clothing with the dealership name on it. I told Ray that I had a letter that may help when fixing my Jeep. He said the letter didn’t matter because anyone can write a bunch of bullsh*t and put it on a piece of paper. He repeated that phrase several times during the conversation. As we continued to talk about the Jeep he continued to speak in a rude, disrespectful and obnoxious manner. After a couple of minutes of this ridiculousness, I asked to speak with the service manager so that I could have a normal, civil conversation about my Jeep. I let Osaris (manager) know that Ray had just got into a useless and unhelpful argument with me and that he should not be allowed to be in front of customers. Osaris apologized and said that Ray is a tech and does not speak with customers normally. (I can see why). Osaris was polite and knowledgable, but after my previous experience with Ray, I couldn’t justify leaving my Jeep with this dealership. The minimum requirement when visiting a dealership is to be treated with respect and courtesy, not be attacked in the service line for no apparent reason. Very bizarre.

Every question I had she answered with detail and knowledge of the vehicles I was interested in. She was personable and professional and friendly.

I bought my car from this location. Dumitru was my sales person and he was excellent. He was very nice and kept it real with me. He didn’t try to BS me or pressure me into a sale which I sincerely appreciated. Zack was my finance guy and he was very nice and easy to talk to while he was getting my financing figured out. I had an issue with the exhaust system in the car (it was used and previous owner messed it up), Herb Chamners Danvers was kind enough to give me a new exhaust. I am very satisfied with my experience.

I had the pleasure of working with Darlene when I leased my Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was by far the best sales and customer service experience I’ve had when getting a car. I never felt that typical stressed and uneasy feeling I’m used to when figuring out the price, and I know I got a great deal. It makes a big difference having a knowledgable and easy to work with rep.
Would definitely recommend this dealership and working with Darlene.

Had an absolutely great experience leasing a car here. Kenny Fiandaca helped me right away, and was the most knowledgable person I have ever dealt with. He was patient, and willing to show me exactly what I was looking for. When the dealership didn’t have the exact car I was looking for, he was willing to walk me through ordering one. Instead of trying to get me into a car on sight that wasn’t exactly what I wanted, he was able to find one on sight that was FAR better than I even thought I could have afforded. He went out of his way to get me a car that exceeded my expectations, and get it down to a price that fit my budget, even though I didn’t think it was possible. I am going to tell everyone I know to see Kenny!

I go here ALL the time for my service and oil changes, usually everything is fine. and uneventful… let me explain why this time, I’m less than pleased. I went in for an oil change, which was fine, as expected, comes with a wash which is nice. I also asked them to replace 1 of my back license plate lights that was out. When I was checking out, I questioned the pricing because I was surprised my total was so high. She told me the oil change was such and such and the bulb was $ 25…$ 25 for a bulb?!! whoa… ok, whatever… paid it and left because I had my 16 month old son with me and just wanted to get out of there. Today, I looked at the print out of the receipt and noticed the bulb was $ 5.50 and the LABOR to install the bulb was $ 19.95…I called jeep and spoke to Jeff, the guy who handled my car yesterday. The reason I’m upset was because I wish I was told it was going to be $ 20 to install this bulb, I would have purchased it at the auto parts store and put it in myself. Jeff claims he told me the price. He did not. Why would I have asked the cashier to let me know the breakdown of charges if he had told me? The cashier AND another guy behind the desk are both witness to my being shocked about this, because they both said «wow, that’s a pricey bulb!».to which I agreed! I can’t believe that while my car was in for the oil change, they didn’t just pop that bulb in… when I asked Jeff this, he stated that it’s not just a simple thing, it takes 15+ minutes to do… um WRONG. When I got home today, I took a look at the bulb. There isn’t even a screw! You push the plastic lever with your finger, the compartment pops open, and the bulb is right there! Took me about 5 seconds. I will be calling back Monday to talk to the Service Manager. Not only am I pissed about this rip off charge, BUT Jeff lied twice… once saying he told me the cost of the labor and bulb, which he did not… AND he said it’s a job that takes 15 minutes to do… If he had given me a $ 20 credit on my card when I called, I would be a happy camper,…I wouldn’t have written this review, wouldn’t tell everyone I know to NOT go here, AND I would still be a customer. He did offer me a free tire rotation for my next visit (a $ 30 value)…i don’t want that… i want a credit. on my card. Not good customer service in my opinion.

Stopped in on Presidents’ Day weekend to take a look. They were bumpin — more salesmen than tables. I ended up buying a Jeep from them, bc I wanted a jeep, not bc I was impressed by them. I wasn’t.
They have a good inventory and a decent set up. They also have complementary beverages, ice cream bars, and apples. I like that.
First time I went in, salesman snatched me up right away. Half the other times, I’d stand up front for a few minutes before anyone came to help me. That was annoying. Not sure why they wouldn’t have a front desk to greet ppl. No dealerships do — maybe that’s part of their strategy. I don’t like it.
My salesman was new and didn’t know anything. But he tried hard. I’m still hoping he didn’t mess anything up that I’m not aware of. But his manager was with us most of the time. He was knowledgable, but their communication was poor, which lead to issues w quoting of sales prices as well as after I bought, wasting an hour bc the car wasn’t ready for me when I scheduled to pick it up.
Finances were quick, but not without little mistakes here and there.
Overall, I’m not crazy happy about the dealership, but am happy about the Jeep. I’m just very nervous about future issues and getting it fixed there under warranty without mistakes.

I bought a Jeep SRT-​8 from this so-​called «Reputable» dealership. They’ve made me believe you simply pay for the name. The FIRST WEEK home with my new truck my brakes would squeal so LOUD that people would turn around and look in traffic. On top of the squealing, not squeaking, SQUEALING brakes the suspension sounded like an old spring mattress. This is ridiculous for a $ 50k Jeep I JUST drove off the lot in. I brought it back IMMMEDIATELY. They told me it needed new shocks or springs (whatever). The brakes were another story. They said «just needs a little lube, and some gravel might’ve gotten stuck in the disk». Another week goes by and the same thing starts happening. I bring back it back again. They say the same thing and that the pads and rotors are fine. This repeated exchange happened 3 – 4 times. WITHIN 8k miles after spending $ 50K on an almost new truck I need new brakes and rotors and have to pay out of pocket $ 1200(Brembo) because the $ 7k I spent (like a chump, yes I fell for it) in warranties didn’t cover ANYTHING. They’re «Additional» warranties weaseled their way out of every and any thing that went wrong with the truck. I had to replace my tires within a year also. After two weeks of driving my new tires I noticed a HUGE bubble coming through the sidewall. No impact marks because NO I did not hit anything. So it was obviously defective. The Tire warranty Joe sold me did not cover it. They said «its normal wear and tear EVEN IF THERE IS ALMOST 98% TREAD LEFT”(true story). Mind you when he did sell it to me he told me it covered anything except flats that might go wrong my tires or rims and no its not me misinterpreting things because I specifically kept questioning it because sure as poop it sounded too good to be true. Then the moonroof motor blew. Its been one issue after another on top of incompetent service. I stopped having my jeep serviced there within the first year. Now YES a lot of this is my own fault for trusting a car dealership and salesman. Just know because of this experience I doubt I will ever buy another Jeep but more importantly NEVER buy from a Herb Chambers dealership. To summarize they sold me a lemon and are either that incompetent to figure out or put off until their own sales warranty ran out. Their warranty company is one of, if not the worst I’ve ever had. Bottom line their salesman don’t care about the Herb Chambers name just selling. Obviously Herb Chambers doesn’t care about their name either because this is normal everyday business they allow to happen.

I was referred to James Klimas, GM by John Covell. John was such a great help to me. When I met James at the dealership, he had both Jeeps I wanted to test drive, up front and waiting for me. He referred me to Lewis Silvano, Sales Consultant. James and Lewis made buying a new vehicle enjoyable! They couldn’t
have been more kind and helpful, thank you both!!! In the future, I will continue to buy all my vehicles from Herb Chambers. If it wasn’t for John Covell, I would have never have had such an amazing experience!

We visited this dealership 3 times in the past year and I’m not sure why we kept going back, Our first visit was in June of 2013. We spent a good 3 hours here while the sales guy wasted our time. They knew upfront how much we could put down and what we could afford yet made us wait around for hours just to tell us they couldn’t help us. Also, the sales guy we were dealing with was very inexperienced and unprofessional. He made us walk in the pouring rain through huge puddles to try and find a Jeep Patriot he wanted to show us. The Jeep ended up being buried about 30 cars deep in what was just a cluster of vehicles. Nothing was organized and the entire lot was a mess. To my shock the sales guy needed me to guide a vehicle out for him as he backed up even though he had more than enough room.
In January of 2014 we came back to the dealership because we now had a decent down payment and we really liked the Jeep Patriot. Again we spent another exhausting 3 hours in the showroom. We had to wait a couple of weeks so we came back a 3^rd time. This time we were told that we wouldn’t be able to get an answer if we were approved or not for 3 days. We were also told that we should bring our trade in with an empty tank since Herb Chambers does not provide a full tank of gas when you purchase a new vehicle. As petty as this might seem I found that very odd since every dealership I have ever bought a new car from always fills the tank. To me that just showed how cheap these guys were.
While we were waiting we had a friend tell us we were getting ripped off and to go to her uncle who worked at another Jeep dealership, that he would save us money. We ended up walking in to the other dealership and securing a loan within 20 minutes, not 3 days! We also got a much better deal and saved thousands of dollars! When I called Herb Chambers to tell the fiancé guy we found a better deal he yelled at me on the phone saying we wouldn’t be able to get a loan any place else. Well actually we did, and we got a much better loan on the same exact Jeep Patriot. He threw a fit on the phone and hung up on me. I had to call the main office and try to get our deposit back. The dealership dragged its feet but eventually mailed us back our deposit.
Everything about this dealership sucks. The showroom is filthy. The sales people are unprofessional. The lot is a mess, they can’t even park their cars correctly. Everyone there seems to be slimy. Be careful if you do business here. I would suggest shopping around and seeing what kind of deals you can get at other dealerships. We are so glad we did,
