History

Established in 2007.

After many years of dog ownership, and training both privately and for other facilities, Anne Springer opened Paws for Praise in September of 2007. In doing so, she continued a North Shore tradition of positive training, enabling owners to begin training their dogs as early as age 8 weeks, and to participate in supervised socialization groups and dog-friendly activities. Anne has B.A. from Salem State, and diplomas in dog training, grooming, and veterinary assisting. She keeps up her continuing education by attending many seminars and workshops. Recently she was awarded a scholarship to the «Harvard of dog trainer schools» — Jean Donaldson’s Academy for Dog Trainers, where she is enjoying an even more challenging continuing education experience.
