Greg & Lisa Doyle – J Rockcliff Realtors

I have not contracted Ms. Doyle as a real estate agent nor would I ever based on my most recent dealings with her and her company.
For the past few years she has been prolific in sending us junk mail and leaving flyers at our front door which is a security issue that alerts potential thieves that we are not home. When I spoke to her in person she was disinterested and unhelpful and told me to contact the Post Office myself. She has continued to leave flyers at my front door and did not take my address off her junk mailing list.
Ms. Doyle and members of J Rockliff Realtors have tried to shift the blame onto the Post Office and me and have not taken responsibility for their harassing and annoying behavior that has put my family at risk and threatened the security of my home. I have a lengthy email exchange with Ms. Doyle and several other members from her company to substantiate what I am saying.
Ms Doyle is interested in only one thing, furthering her own business. Based on my experience I would say her claims about caring about her neighbors are disingenuous unless of course there is a sales commission to be made! She has demonstrated a particular lack of concern for the inconvenience and safety issues her actions may be causing people like myself who are not selling their home through her but have the misfortune of living in her catchment area.

We had Lisa and her team list our home for sale. I had known for at least a couple of years earlier that we would use her services as she was about the only proactive person in our neighborhood who actually walked the neighborhood to distribute flyers and talk with people whether we were interested in selling or not. She knows how to build relationships and knows the local market better than other brokers we have talked to.
From the day of listing until the final closing on our sale, everything went perfectly. Lisa and her team kept us constantly informed as to status and processes. Whenever I needed to get her on the phone, she was always available. One of her best traits is that she is very upbeat and cautiously optimistic. Her experience shows her talents.
Having bought and sold many homes and rentals over a lot of years, this was the first time I had an experience that I would label as «decentralized». In other words, in past real estate transactions, I always dealt with just one person from start to finish. With Lisa there were at least 3 people in the loop as dependent on the need. Sometimes Greg was involved and sometimes Abagail. People may like the older traditional approach, but after having gone through this process, I like it much better. The tasks are split up between people who specialize more in that part of the transaction.
As for marketing, they had some of the best brochures I’ve ever seen and they marketed our home not just in the MLS, but on practically all of the real estate sites. And when it came time to need help with fixing up, staging, and other tasks, she had some great recommendations and referrals to people who do good work. Our open house was also expertly handled by Lisa and an additional colleague.
In the end, we got LOTS of offers and none were under the listing price even though are listing price was higher than recent sales of the same model homes that closed. Our offers were over asking price. Bottom line is that we found her to be objective, honest, dependable, good negotiator, and a bunch of other positive adjectives.

We loved working with Lisa and Greg. They listened to us and tailored the homes they showed us to match what we wanted. They were incredibly patient while we carted around twin 9 month olds and they really know the area.

I met Lisa and Greg because of their presence in our Shadow Creek neighborhood. I thought anyone who can put up five signs on our street and they all have sold signs on them within such a short time is the person I want to work with when I sell. We called her to talk about the «idea» of selling and she was very patient with us, took us around to see what was out there, followed up with us without pestering us just to remind us she was thinking of us. Once we figured out the neighborhood we wanted to settle in and decided to make an offer on a listing, she managed to get the seller to agree to a contingency for us to sell the home we were in, in this market that is almost unheard of. Then to top it off, we listed our house and it sold in two days — before the broker’s open, before the first open house. For a list price that made our neighbors happy! Things are improving in the real estate market, but Lisa and Greg made it so easy for us. We couldn’t be happier, we’re moving into Blackhawk to be closer to the golf courses we love and the Doyle’s made it possible and easy. I would recommend them to my friends and certainly call them any time I’m doing a real estate transaction. Lisa works very hard, she remembers all the important little details and makes sure you know that your best interests are in mind.

I was approached by Lisa Doyle about seven years ago when we were listing our home for sale. Lisa was the only agent that provided a marketing plan for how she was going to present our home. She created a marketing binder that had detail information about our home and also contained area information with such great detail that included school test scores (great marketing for families moving into the area). She clearly did her homework.
A few years later, our daughter was looking to purchase her first home. Lisa worked with her over the period of a few weeks and was able to get her into a short sale (rather quickly, I might add). Over the duration of the process, Lisa showed our daughter many homes and patiently worked with her to weed out/​in what would be a suitable home for her. She is completely happy with her home and with Lisa’s services.
Now our son is looking to purchase his first home and, of course, we have referred him to Lisa. Lisa’s immediate response was to introduce him to a broker who is working with him to determine his affordability. Even though it’s a first home and rather inexpensive, Lisa has already begun to check into areas where he might find something within his price range. I should mention that it will probably be 3 – 6 months before he’ll be ready to purchase, but she is still working with him today.
I have referred people to Lisa who always report back that they were completely satisfied with the experience. Should I be in the market to list or purchase, I would definitely employ Lisa. She is patient, hard working and really listens to exactly what it is you want. And, she keeps in contact even though you may not be currently interested in buying or selling…

Greg and Lisa have helped us on a sale of 1.5M and purchase of 2.2M homes, with both transactions closing just in the last couple months. Bothhomes are in Blackhawk. Prior to that, they helped us with a sale in San Ramon and purchase of the above home in Blackhawk. So we have known them for quite some time and have gone through a lot together with them in the course of the four sale/​purchase residential real estate transactions. To make the long story short, we cannot be happier with the professionalism and consistency of Greg’s and Lisa’s real estate brokerage services. They represent their clients with utmost strict code of conduct catering to the most essential needs of the buyers/​sellers, to sell or buy the property they need/​want to. I don’t know about other people’s comments where they got some of these negative impression. Greg and Lisa are not the kind of people who mis-​represent their clients. Maybe these people commenting here had been represented by the real estate agents other than Greg and Lisa, and perhaps Greg and Lisa were on the other side of the transaction. I don’t think it’s fair to comment negatively on the work of someone who did not represent you. Anyway, for us, Greg and Lisa just get things done always representing our best interest and we are just happy with that. At the end of the day, that’s what you expect from a business professional, no?

I sure hope Dan S.‘s review isn’t directed at me and my husband.
I want to clarify that neither of our offers on the property in question were ever FHA loans. We were always a conventional loan, which is not subject to the same stringent requirements as an FHA loan. FHA loans have significantly more red tape to get through in order to be approved since they are backed by the government, allow for lower credit scores, and allow you to finance a home even if you have filed for bankruptcy or been foreclosed on in the last year. NONE of those terms apply to me or my husband, and I am extremely insulted that these terms are being used to describe our financial standing, as they are completely false.
I understand that since Dan S. incorrectly believed we had an FHA loan, no seller would want to deal with an FHA appraisal and the rest of the red tape. However, this was NEVER our loan type, and those conditions did not apply to us. We used a private lender for our CONVENTIONAL loan.

We sold our Danville house ten years ago with Lisa and Greg. We knew Lisa from the many times she would canvas our area with flyers for homes she had on the market, and the times she would «check in» with us. So we felt she knew our area very well and could get our house sold quickly. She brought in a staging professional who helped us get the house ready for showing. We had an offer within the first week. Lisa and Greg made the process very easy!
On a side note, Lisa watched our family go through childhood cancer during those early years in Danville. She was always kind and sympathetic toward us (and did not bother us when we were going through rough patches), and rejoiced with us when the chemotherapy was done. We would not have contracted with Lisa if not for her kind and caring ways. We had another realtor pressuring us to work with him, and we turned him down to work with Lisa.
Would not hesitate to use their services again. She has regularly called to check on our family through the years, even though she knows we bought our forever home and have no interest in selling again!

**UPDATE: The property in question sold for $ 465k. Our offer was $ 500k with plenty of cash to cover an appraisal shortfall.**
Wow. Although my wife has already reviewed Mrs. Doyle and exposed her treatment of buyers in the area, I will be reviewing her practices as well as it is obvious that some questionable reviews have surfaced since the 1 star treatment.
So we were treated horribly throughout our dealing with Lisa Doyle. After turning in an initial offer that was substantially above asking price on a home in Concord, she let our offer expire without any feedback whatsoever. We then re-​wrote an offer that was even higher and offered better closing terms, and were all but ignored again, even though it was an offer higher than the eventually accepted offer.

We are very glad we chose Greg and Lisa Doyle to sell our home. They were a great team to work with, being very personable and always available with information and ideas to help us get our house on the market and sold. The last time we sold a home was several years ago in a seller’s market. This time, we knew we needed to work more diligently at selling our home as it was now a buyer’s market. Lisa gave us good ideas on how to create an atmosphere in our home that would attract a buyer without going into a lot of expense. When we first talked to Lisa, we were both impressed by her marketing strategy. Lisa, who does the marketing for, «The Doyle Team,» had great ideas for an active and aggressive selling campaign. We felt very optimistic about being able to sell our home in a buyer’s market and to our delight, we had a buyer in 4 days. As we moved through the process, we had a few hurdles along the way. Both Greg and Lisa were very helpful and supportive as we approached the final day and the sale was complete. When we need a Realtor again someday, it will be, «The Doyle Team.» We would highly recommend Greg and Lisa Doyle to sell your home too. They really are a winning team!
