Best massage ever! She found spots I didn’t know I had!!! Already on her schedule for next month.

As a food and beverage server in San Francisco, I’ve got a serious case of «server’s shoulder» in addition to a persistent knot in the middle of my back. And I’m stressed out. A lot. So when I first came to Rachelle I was pretty mentally/​physically exhausted. The first thing that separated her from other massage therapists I’ve been to was: communication. She asked, «So, what have you gotten done in the past/​what is bothering you /​what are you expecting etc.» It wasn’t that long of a conversation, but it was enough to get a general sentiment as to what I wanted done in that hour of time. Rachelle isn’t one to «go through the motions» or follow a set routine without first consulting her clients as to what they want. So, she hears what you have to say and goes off of that. She’s also good at finding tension spots that I didn’t even know I had. This has helped me figure out what I need to do to keep myself healthy until the next visit. Whatever you want — relaxation, a deep-​tissue pounding, or both — she can do. Over the course of a year I’ve gone from needing a massage at least once every 2 – 3 weeks to coming in once a month. If massage is something that works for you as a healing /​keeping healthy /​de-​stressing tool then Rachelle is the CMT for you! And, if you’ve never tried massage out, I suggest you start with Rachelle because you really won’t find anything better.

I lift heavy weights and my joints were starting to tighten up on me. After my first deep tissue massage with Rachelle, my shoulder regained so much more range of motion. She can also tell which areas are tight or if there are any discrepancies. Pressure is strong but she always checks with you to see how you like it. There is no awkwardness nor is she too chatty. She can tell when you simply want to keep quite and enjoy the massage or when you want to hold a conversation and that I think is very important part of the experience. Definitely seeing her every 3 weeks (a month is too long to go without a massage)
I recommend all my personal training clients to go to Rachelle because when they have healthier joints, they can workout better too. And they love her as much as I do! To put it simply she makes you feel very at ease and she gives great massages.

Rachelle is a miracle worker. I have slipped discs in my neck and back and constantly get knots on my shoulders. On top of that I get bad migraines because of all that. I’m a mess. I’ve had tons of massages at different places and nothing compares to her. She works according to what your body needs. I always feel so much better when I leave and havent had a headache in a while. She is so sweet and makes you feel really comfortable. I highly recommend her.

My first experience with a professional massage, my wife gave me a gift certificate for a 60 min aromatherapy session. Wow, I’m a fan… very clean and calming setting that Rachelle provides which makes it that much easier to drift away. Will definitely be referring to my family and friends, already booked my next appointment!

If you want a girl who will take care of you and make you feel comfortable, Rachelle is the girl to go to!
At first I thought I had problems with my lower back, but as Rachelle massaged me, she had let me know its my upper back and shoulder area.
SHE IS THE BEST! Enough said.

I was going to be late by ten minutes for my 30 min. appointment and thought I’d have to cancel, but she was able to ask her next client to come a little later! And then I show up even a little later than 10 minutes, but she greeted me with a relaxed demeanor and a smile as if nothing ever happened and still gave me the full 30 minute massage. But besides her great service, her massages are great and she gets rid of your knots. I can finally sleep now with no nerve pinchings and one time I even had a straighter posture when I came out of there.

Fives stars just isn’t enough. I was never a person that got massages before I started going to Rachelle, now I love my massage time. I can not say enough good things about Rachelle. She is professional, kind, intuitive and she gives one heck of a massage. I have been in for both problem areas and relaxation. I could not have been happier. I think I will call and book my next appointment with her now, how about you?

I made an appointment with Rachelle based off of a referral from my friend Natalie. Rachelle did not disappoint!
As soon as I walked it, I was greeted and given a short form to complete. I liked that she asked questions about what areas were bothering me & didn’t just go at it, like other massage «therapists» have done before.
Her room is small, yet cozy, & has a great ambiance to it. She could instantly feel the knots I have in my shoulders & asked my preference for pressure. She has a great touch & I left feeling relaxed. She is such a sweet person that we talked during the entire hour (I’m not one to fall asleep during a massage. I think it’s weird)
I will definitely be scheduling with Rachelle on a regular basis.

I can only start this review with Rachelle is by far the best. I’ve been seeing her for over a year and she knows exactly what I need. Every time I leave I am feel like I am walking on clouds! She knows her job and is great at it. I have had massage’s elsewhere and seriously none compare! Her new location is also my Fave, relaxing, has a great view from the window I can’t wait for my next visit :)

If you are looking for a massage therapist who is professional, kind, and just plain great at what she does, Rachelle is the person to see. I see her on a monthly basis and she never disappoints. While we do always begin with me telling her where I am feeling my knots and tension, she is also very intuitive with what is going on in the body while she is working on me. I can tell she is focused completely on me and not distracted with other things on her mind — I have had massages from people like that and Rachelle stays tuned in at all times! She will do stretches if the body needs to be stretched, she incorporates essential oils if your body needs them (and she is an expert with them too!), and she simply has a great touch. She is a wonderful person who immediately makes you feel at ease and her new studio in downtown Danville is adorable and is also in a fantastic location. Be sure to look at her photos so you know exactly where to go. I promise you will not be disappointed with her work, the calming and peaceful environment she has created and her sweet personality.

Her room/​ambance is so relaxing & she has a very healing touch.
She dosent talk during the massage & lets you sink into the heated bed. I just got an hour massage last week and my body is feeling GREAT :)

I had my first visit with Rachelle today and she was simply awesome! I prefer a firm touch and Rachelle’s was just the way I like it! She was very intuitive and knew exactly what areas I needed work on. Rachelle’s massage room was very comfortable and inviting. In addition to her fabulous therapeutic touch, Rachelle has such a wonderful personality which made my visit an amazing experience — like a mini-​spa getaway! I can’t wait for my next visit!

By far one of the best massages I have ever received. I just moved up to Oakland from San Diego and Rachelle is by far the best masseuse I have found in the bay area. She is thorough, professional, kind, and her hands are magic. I went into my last appointment sick and she helped me work through all of my physical issues– I left feeling like a million dollars. Before meeting Rachelle, I had a preconceived notion of how I wanted my massages (something I get at least once a month). I hated the frou frou massage that was lots of lotion and oil and put you to sleep — I get lots of knots in my upper shoulder area, so I wanted someone to work on them and put me in pain, not to sleep. The notion of a «relaxing» massage equaled «waste of money» to me — the more bruises I got, the better I felt.
So when I initially met Rachelle and saw the heated bed, down blankets, and scented lotions, I braced myself for a yawn of a massage. Even when she started getting into the knots, I wasn’t sure she was doing anything — her touch was slow and deliberate, but never too forceful. But when I turned over, I felt the pain in my back melt away. At that point I totally relaxed into the rest of the massage, even catching myself snore at a couple points — something I used to associate with a crappy massage in the past, yet I knew something was different here.
The next day I felt the tell-​tale soreness that usually comes with my more forceful massages, but by the end of the day my shoulders were completely loose and free of tension. Amazing! Rachelle clearly knows what she is doing. She definitely has made me reassess what a «good» massage is — there is a way to be frou-​frou and effective at the same time. I’ll definitely make a trip to her space a regular stop whenever I’m working in the area!

Simply put, outstanding. I highly recommend Rachelle. She has an amazing ability to zone in to a problem area and have you walk out feeling great. She is very professional and takes her job seriously yet is very approachable and friendly. Rachelle has multiple ways of contacting her; email, text, or a call which makes it very easy to book an appointment, not to mention her punctuality and quick response to your messages. If you are reading this trying to find a good massage therapist do your self a favor and call Rachelle.

Rachelle’s massage is amazing. I have had a variety of massages from her including deep tissue, swedish, and vibrational. They were all superb. If you have never had a vibrational massage, I would highly recommend it. It was the best experience I have had with massage to date. Rachelle is attentive to your needs, especially if you are experiencing an injury. She makes you feel completely comfortable and takes a considerable amount of time answering your questions. She is extremely gifted and you leave her massage table feeling fabulous. I used to live in Cupertino and would drive 45 minutes to receive massage from her. Rachelle is wonderful and I highly recommend you to go see her.
