Looked into purchasing a gift certificate from the Danville location. Receptionist was quick to get off the phone and pretty unaccommodating to options to purchase as I am not geographically close enough to buy one in person. For a high quality salon, I expected more!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
I’ve been going to this salon for about 6 years now and I have always come in for the same service. A women’s hair cut and partial highlight. I arrive to my appointment today to be told I am scheduled for a child’s haircut. I’ve been here countless of times and have never gotten a child’s haircut. The lady who was schedule to cut my hair cut my hair dry and didn’t wash my hair. She took 5 minutes to cut my hair. ONLY 5 MINUTES. It was uneven and choppy and overall terrible. I have always loved Tribez but this has ruined my relationship with the salon. The woman the the front desk never even apologized for the mix up. I will never be returning to this salon. Terrible terrible terrible…

I was in desperate need of a last minute hair cut and style and Vivian came to the rescue! I called on Saturday morning at 10AM and they were able to get me in at 2PM. It was my first time to this salon, found by a friend who got her hair done at their Livermore location and I thought her hair looked great! It is definitely a busy salon! Vivian was running a little late with her client before me, but I took it as she wants to make sure she gives attention to her clients and not rush them, which I appreciate. They have a pleasant waiting area with fruit water, tea, and coffee for beverages. They had comfortable chairs and some magazines on the table. When Vivian was ready for me she apologized for the wait and sat me down in her chair for a quick consult. I told her what I wanted and we discussed what would work best for me and my lifestyle/​hairstyle. I told her I was going to a wedding this evening and wanted my hair curled at the end and she said that was no problem and she whisked me away to the washing station. There she gave me a stellar head massage while doing her washing. Then back over to the chair we went where she started to work her magic. I have no idea how she made so many layers out of my thin hair to make sure it was cut correctly. I appreciated her checking in with me throughout the process to make sure I was okay with how much was coming off and that I was satisfied. In the end she did a thorough job curling and styling my hair and making sure there was ample hair spray for my style to stay throughout the wedding! The next day when I washed it out and saw my hair in my «natural» hair style I was still very pleased with how it turned out. Vivian asked for cash or check and for my shoulder length hair washed, cut, and styled was $ 65. This value seemed pretty in par with the area and service I received. I also loved that she never pushed products on me and was able to hold a friendly conversation.

I come here all the time. I love Julianna Sala’s technique. She always give me the best color and the best cut. Wether it’s simple highlights, or crazy red and purple, from trims to fancy layers! She’s the best.
However. I have dealt with the front desk once. For the longest time I never even knew that I was supposed to check in with the front desk. I have never been greeted with a «Hello», «Welcome to Salon Tribez» or anything of that sort. My stylist always met me up front. Today a girl said «name» (I think) I said «sorry what was that» she said «name, cell phone number» I gave it to her. Then she mumbled something. I asked her «what was that?», I think she told me to wait. I wasn’t sure where to wait, because I have never waited before. I looked around and saw there was couches to my right by the front windows. It was a strange interaction. But I definitely didn’t feel greeted kindly. If you have a front desk receptionist, that is a great addition to your company! But if they are supposed to be the first person to greet the clients, they need to work on the «greeting» part. It is the first face your clients will see, from now on, maybe they should be kind and give a smile and a «hello» and say «please feel free to wait on the couches» and a «thank you» couldn’t hurt. #frontdeskhelp
Update and Positive: It is nice to see a business owner that really cares and takes pride in her establishment. Today the concerned owner, Donna, called me to personally apologize and give me reassurance that my incident with the front desk would not happen again. She said I could reach out to her anytime. I haven’t been contacted by an owner or manager before in efforts to help ease any discomfort of a passed experience. So this showed me that I am a valued customer of a business that does care. Hopefully my review will help to bring positive change so that others will feel welcome when they visit this establishment.

I booked an appointment for a cut and color online with Andrea Nervis and was given a call this morning to confirm my appointment this evening. I work full time and so I wasn’t able to return the call until early afternoon (2:30pm – the appointment was for 6pm), as which point I was told they wouldn’t be able to service me since I hadn’t returned the call quickly enough and Andrea had already left for the day. A word of advice – don’t have an online scheduling system if you’re not actually going to honor your confirmed requests for service. I had to move mountains to even schedule this appointment and now it’s been cancelled on me. I’m not happy. at all.

London is a legend! U want great hair and beauty he’s your man! I really needed a boost with my look and I’m the pickiest person ever when it comes to hair!

Taryn Bruner @ Tribez Salon is EPIC — she is the best colorist and stylist I have ever had! Taryn truly listens to what you want and she is exceptionally talented at her craft! I always love how my hair looks after every appointment!

Julianna is AMAZING! I can’t thank her enough for turning my «blah» hair into something gorgeous. People keep complimenting my hair. The high-​lightening and cut are perfect. And, what a nice salon. Great experience. Thank you!

I have come to Laura Lee for a long time. This review is long time in coming. If you want a relaxing, thorough and wonderful facial, you will not be disappointed. The staff are always friendly and the salon is upbeat and nicely arranged, thanks Laura!

As you may know, lice is a common occurrence among elementary school students, of which, I am a proud – and hygiene-​conscious mother of two. When London cut and colored my hair, I was already, unfortunately, infested with adult, nymph and nit lice. The fact that he didn’t either A) notice or B) notify me is shocking. I was treated for lice elsewhere a few days later, and required two multi-​hour treatments to remove the invading creatures from my hair. How did London miss this?!
Additionally, my haircut was sub-​par. I’m unsatisfied with the shape, texture and color of my cut. New to the area, I’m still on the hunt for a new salon. Ladies, keep searching for a better hairdressing experience.

Candace has always been and will always be my hair stylist. I admit I fear taking inches off my hair but when the dead ends weigh me down, I know I am long overdue. I always walk out feeling like a million bucks due to the talent of Candace. Tribez is a great atmosphere and yes, it’s not cheap but you get what you pay for! My hair feels so light and bouncy and yet I am able to keep it long and healthy thanks to my wonderful hair miracle worker.

This review is for my hairstylist Wisti. She has been doing my hair forever 25 years and I can’t say enough good things about her. I’m a lifer lol. She has realistic suggestions and somehow makes magic out of my hair! I love the salon as well. Here’s to another 25 years!

Absolutely love it here. The atmosphere is amazing and Tina is a rockstar with color and cuts. My hair has been perfect every time!

Disappointing experience that I turned into a much better experience at one of their sister salons, where I get 5 star service and style. Updated.

My friend referred me to Tribez last year and I have been seeing Eva ever since. She is AMAZING! She is the type of stylist that you will trust quickly and pretty soon even feel comfortable with her doing what she thinks would look good on you. Eva has a great eye for color as well. I have seen Eva mostly for cuts but just did highlights– I forget what they are called but its the new version of the ombré look that just came out and I am very happy with it.
Aside from being a great stylist, the salon is nice, Eva is reasonably priced, and Eva is so much fun to talk to while you are getting your hair done. Also, she gives great scalp massages when she conditions your hair.
I could go on and on. You will not regret going to see Eva at Tribez.

I just got my hair cut by Taylor today. I rarely get to get away to have my «hair did» so it had been almost a year since my last cut. The salon itself was cool, had various beverages available, welcoming staff and was generally aesthetically appealing. Taylor was friendly, approachable, listened to me and then gave me a great cut at a great price! The product I needed was on sale so that was an added bonus (no pressure on buying product which was also nice). I will definitely be back!

I have been going to my hair stylist, Lennox, for 16+ years and he’s an excellent stylist. My complaint has nothing to do with him and everything to do with Tribez Salon & Spa having horrible Internet connectivity. I keep hearing that the Internet system is being upgraded, but I have the worst time connecting to the Internet when I’m there. With as much money I spend going to Tribez every week, I would expect the owner to have an Internet system that actually works. Now it doesn’t work well at all!

I come here when I’m desperate for a haircut in between my usual hairdresser that I drive a million miles away from home. I’ve gone for years and love her color, but it’s a bit far for quick in between cuts.
When I do call and usually at the last minute in a tizzy because my hair looks like crap and I’m ready to take the scissors to my hair myself (not a good point), I can call and Tribez can usually find me a good time sometimes even an evening appointment with my favorite gal Tina Montesano. I’ve known her since she was in school at Paul Mitchell with my daughter and I know she does precision work. Plus whenever I see her she looks super fabulous herself, which gives me confidence in knowing she has an eye for the right look just for you, when you’re just not sure what you need.
She takes her time and listens to what you want done, and then does an amazing cut every time. I have to say this last time I was trying to grow my hair out from a very short cut, but it wasn’t really working for me… at all. Frankly it was a disaster. Tina could see the problem I was having and gave me an new fresh cut but still left me some longer layers on top. Now it looks fresh and so much neater and very sassy, I can’t tell you how much happier it makes me feel and look. And she took her time to make sure to cut small hairs around my ears (sideburn area) and cut my bangs to look edgy and really cute. She’s a lifesaver and she gives a nice little massage when she washes your hair, nice bonus! I’m fortunate to have her as a hairdresser and would recommend her in a heartbeat!

I’m a big fan of Tribez!!! I’ve seen a few stylists and they have all been good. Recently I’ve been seeing Tina Montesano and I’ve been so thrilled with the outcome. Tina listens really well and has given me the hair of my dreams :) I went in with really long virgin hair and had her cut it first and she was conservative and did just what I wanted. Unlike stylists I’ve seen elsewhere that just chop it all off!!!
I just recently went back in wanting to try ombré but was a little nervous about it destroying my hair. She did a fantastic job and I couldn’t be happier. My hair is still healthy despite the lightener as well, woohoo! Thank you Tina!!!

This review is for Tina Montesano. She always does a GREAT job and I go out of my way to see her. I have seen other stylists at Tribez and they have all been good but Tina truly takes the cake.
She always cuts my hair to the exact length I like without me having to show her how short I want it; it’s always perfect. Additionally, she is very nice and flexible about scheduling.
The salon itself is nice and I really like the front desk staff, especially Nikki, who is very sweet and helpful.
