i seriously have to say this spa is AMAZING and sonis the staff. I recieved a facial fron LIZZY and i have no words tonsay but thank you SO MUCH. she was very professional, very knowlegable about skin and how to keep your skin in good health. I HIGHLy reccomend her if you ever want to get s facial here. I have been to many spas and had some horrific experiences but this place is definetely uncomparible. Thank u so much lizzy !! see u in 6 weeks.

I woke up a few months ago and just couldn’t understand what had happened to my skin. It was dull and because I’m so fair, it’s also sun damaged and freckled. I started doing some online research and decided that I wanted to try a «photo facial» treatment. So (switching gears here for a minute… I promise this circles back) I recently decided to go to Lanphier for a massage. My first one in a long time and Francisco had been highly recommended. Oh my buttery muscles! Those hands are magical! Best massage I have had in years! While I was coming out of my trance from Francisco’s masterful massage, I chatted with another woman in the ladies lounge. She was putting on her makeup after having a photo facial and Botox treatment from their new doctor on staff! After asking her a dozen plus questions, I decided to book an appointment. The doctor was booked at the time but because it was a Thursday, his hours run later so I got an appointment at 6:30pm — same day. Unfortunately this gave me just enough time to get nervous but when I met Dr. Herman, my fears were quickly allayed. He was really kind and super patient with all of my questions and concerns. Ok, so (if I’m truthful here) I actually have a lot of sun damage for my age and he didn’t even make me feel bad about my years of neglect (although he did make me swear to wear sunscreen). I ended up getting an IPL (photo facial) on my face and chest and then also opted for a little injectable Dysport (it works like Botox only faster). I had read that the pulsed light was painful but he had some technique that made it very tolerable. Honestly, I can’t wait to go back! There wasn’t really any down time — as I had feared. I had some brown spots that showed up like coffee grounds on my skin but nothing that a little makeup couldn’t conceal. Dr. Herman also explained the skin care lines that Lanphier sells. That day I switched to Skinceuticals and after a few weeks, I can really tell the difference! But oh my goodness … There is a HUGE difference in my skin from the IPL! The doc said that if I get a couple more treatments, my spots and freckles will be gone! I really cannot believe how clear and creamy my skin already looks! Totally can’t say enough good things about Dr. Herman too! I guess I expected the guy to just be about the procedure or the clinical aspect but he really cared about making sure that I was comfortable and that we started off conservatively. He was so gentle! The Dysport was a breeze! The other thing to mention here is that his prices are good! I thought maybe he would be more pricey because it’s a high-​end salon but I did a little price comparison before I saw him and he wasn’t even charging as high as some other places I had checked into. Of course… This only makes me want to go back and have my hands and arms done! Ah! It might be addictive! You will not be disappointed here. Come for Botox and a massage or whatever makes your skin happy! I loved Lanphier so much that I booked a hair appointment with their colorist/​stylist Shawn and when I go back, I may bite the bullet and get Dr. Herman to give me a bikini-​line laser hair removal. Review to follow! Oh!!! AND soon Dr Herman and the aestheticians will be offering medical grade skin peels! Sign me up!!!

Worst ever. I tried this «spa». The massages cannot be relaxing because you hear every word through the thin walls. Overall the massage was not good. Dressing room is odd and cramped. I also tried a manicure and pedicure twice. Just more disappointment. There are too many options I out there for such poor service. Rude front desk, 2 hours for a manicure pedicure. The «professional» filed her nails during my appointment. Don’t waste your time or money. No management oversight.

A great day at the spa with my daughter. Also I bought our spa package at the Triangle Community Center’s silent auction, so the money went to a great cause. Thank you Lanphier Spa for donating and for a beautiful day! I highly recommend this spa!

Fabulous massage and facials The facility is Grand. The retail products deliver. They offer vegan and Glutem free products as well.

Ned, Stacy, Kevin — great stylist. A few have very strong personalities/​views/​tone that can make the chemistry uncomfortable. As long as you find the right match this should be a good experience.

Finding someone who does what you want at Lanphier is hard. However, Sassan does just what you ask! He even makes it look better than you can imagine. He is a true genius when it comes to coloring. I have been going to him for years and he is hands down the best, I wouldn’t trust my hair with anyone else!

I recently went in for a platinum bleaching last week and had my hair done by Stacey (She’s the best!). Over the last few months, I had been bouncing around to multiple different salons in Stamford attempting to get the right coloring of platinum done and I had almost given up hope until I came here and worked with Stacey. My hair came out the exact color I had wanted. Rather than highlighting my hair like the other locations had done attempting to get me the platinum coloring she immediately suggested a double process and was she right! I highly recommend coming here and especially recommend Stacey. She was extremely knowledgable and it was just an overall excellent experience, after a lot of disappointing ones.

One word. FRANCISCO!
They took me last minute because he had a cancelation, and it was so worth it. The best massage I’ve ever had in my life and I’ve been to top spas all over the world, four seasons, breakers etc. I have never had anymore pay more attention to my body than this, I found myself not being able to catch my breath because it felt so good! I had a cold and asked for a lymphatic massage and I woke up the next day feeling 100%. I’ve already booked for next month. so excited I found him!

I had a facial today at Lanphier Day Spa, which turned out to be great. It did not start out that way. There is an event being held tomorrow and the room above me was in the process of being set up for that event. It was very noisy in my treatment room… a little like being in a wooden box with people in clogs walking on top of it. Not a relaxing spa experience. I complained and my aesthetician went out to ask them to stop. It didn’t. She went out and asked again. It still didn’t stop. I finally said I’m leaving, unless we move to a different room. Sounds aggressive, but I was getting a headache from the noise and the jarring effect of a sudden bang after a moment of quiet. We were moved to a different room and I had a wonderful facial. The spa charged me for a lower priced facial, gave me a certificate for $ 25 to use next time and the aesthetician gave me some extra something.
I think they made it right, although part of me resents being put in the position of being a complainer. I had a great facial. If I go again, I will make certain I am not going to be in a treatment room that is directly beneath their shop. There is no soundproofing and one person walking around there in heels will wake you up from your relaxed state.

My husband treated me to a surprise spa day at Lanphier and I couldn’t have been happier! The day included massage, facial, mani, pedi, hair and makeup appointments and even included lunch with champagne (grilled chicken salad with seemingly homemade croutons). Each of the aestheticians I encountered were such professionals and really aimed to make my day the best it could be, despite a freak incident where the spa’s hot water system was malfunctioning that day. The only drawback (for my husband): I think I’m now addicted to the spa, and I foresee many more expensive days ahead at Lanphier!

I went to see Morgan for the longest time for facials. Sadly she’s not there anymore.
I also have seen Michelle for massages several times. She’s incredible. Now I have my father going to her as well.

I really love Lanphier. Their location on West Ave. in Darien is absolutely gorgeous. I get my hair cut by Stephanie, and I love the way that she cuts my hair so much that I still go back, despite moving to another state. It’s on the pricey side, but it is located in Darien, CT after all.

Lovely salon BUT, as my boyfriend said, they frosted me like a New Jersey housewife. Terrible!!! Back to New York to fix it. Sigh.

Great place, my wife and daughter went in for services. My wife said the massage was excellent. My daughter had a mani/​pedi and said «I love that place». Both came home very happy with their overall experience!
I think I’ll go for a massage next time!

Brought the GF here for Fabulous Lady Day and it was really nice and relaxing. We got the couples massage room and as you can imagine it was all zen and quiet. It’s a bit on the pricey side but Kelsey worked her magic all over me and I’m quite pleased despite the price. Also got the GF a facial, but as I didn’t receive I can only assume it was great. All in all it’s going to run you about $ 2 – 300 out the door plus tip etc.
Long story short, totally worth it for a relaxing day for me and the GF. Fabulous indeed.

I had a horrible experience in this place! They tried to rob me and insult my intelligence at the same time. I will be reporting them to CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND BBB. The owner, if she gave me her real name (I. Rizbi) was definitely NOT an nice person. It’s really a shame that such a nice place has such Nasty people working there.

I recommend this place for mani/​pedis because the staff is very friendly and lovely. DONT go for highlights or dye. I write this with my hair in a state of a mess. The woman did not listen to what I wanted and dyed my hair almost black when I asked for low lights to my brown hair. I have to go back and I have requested someone else to give me new high lights to salvage my hair.
A bad haircut is one thing, it can grow out. but a bad dye job? That’s just horrible and a mess to fix. I hope no one experiences a bad dye job as I have received.

After Red Door in Darien closed, I was so happy to find out that my favorite esthetician was still in town at Lanphier. I made an appointment and it goes without saying that my facial was fantastic — as always.
The rest of the experience was a huge disappointment. The spa itself is gorgeous — bright, spacious and full of amazing products — but the front desk staff could not have made me feel less welcome. Perhaps if my weekend morning attire was more yoga pants and Goyard tote and less sweatpants and tattered paperback, I would have been given a bit more attention and respect? After being asked coolly, «can we help you?», one of the beautiful robots ushered me unceremoniously to the small waiting room and left me there with no direction. Should I change into a robe? Are the lockers available for my bag and phone? She just turned on her five inch heels and murmured «someone will be right with you» as she walked out.
And my post-​appointment bliss was swiftly shattered upon checkout. After asking to add a 20% tip on a $ 120 service, the most heavily botoxed robot shoved $ 43 across the counter and told me to sign a $ 171.44 receipt — all without eye contact. When I expressed my confusion over her total, she seemed bothered. I walked out with the extra cash because I wasn’t interested in spending one more second in front of the front desk jury — who had obviously determined that I was a total peasant from the moment I walked in.
Maybe I should quit my great corporate job and become a spa front desk coordinator. It’s apparently a very prestigious role, does not require any warmth or manners and has the added perk of being able to look down on people.

Today I had an amazing facial with Lizzy! I was very relaxed and my face looks amazing.
She gave me great advice on things that would help my face. I will definitely be back to see Lizzy!
I forgot to mention for some reason it seems the front desk was not as pleasant as before. I was not greeted like I was at my first visit.
