Love this place! Food is pretty authentic(mostly) and the banchan is where it’s at. Everything is pretty flavorful and spicy when it’s supposed to be. I’m looking forward to more meals here. I have only a few cons: — Watch your step when you come in. They have a really weird ramp. thing at the front door. I have both tripped in and out of the restaurant now. It’s super unsafe. — If it’s wintery outside, prepare yourself for a skating rink as they don’t lay down rock salt. If you break your hip, just eat more ddukbokki to forget about it. — What’s with all those drinks way up on the shelf that is impossible to read? They’re not on the menu. I would like to order a fancy drink but I have old lady eyes and can’t see that far. Everything else is awesome. Seriously. I am salivating thinking about it!

This is my go to spot for great Korean food. I have visited this spot on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed with any dish here. Too bad the service is straight up poopy. All the servers at this restaurant act like they do not want to be there and walk like they are dragging their feet. It takes way too long to get your food, especially if there are only 2 – 3 other tables that need to be served. Great food. Bad service.

I love the food just not the hours. I’ve been here a couple times with my friends. There hasn’t been any food that I didn’t like. I had their bibi map, short ribs, Kimchi fried rice, etc.

Skidded into«From the Seoul» from their frozen-solid parking lot this evening to have a semi-disappointing meal. For real, don’t come here after snowy weather because I only got into the door by the grace of a good pair of snow boots. They need to spread some rock salt outside ASAP but seemed in no rush to do so even after seeing multiple people waddle in the door from the treacherous cement outside. We came to Dartmouth for food having heard the siren song of «cheap ramen» from friends and was disappointed to find out that«cheap ramen» literally meant«cheaply made and produced ramen that doesn’t cost too much.» We split some pretty tasty fried pork dumplings as an appetizer and ordered chicken(mine) and pork(husband’s) ramen as a main course. I know ramen is not a traditionally Korean dish and that«From the Seoul» doesn’t market itself as a ramen joint but I was really surprised to find what appeared to be instant ramen noodles in our bowls when we were served. Very few vegetables or add-ins are offered with it and the«egg» that comes standard with each bowl is bits of scrambled egg, not a whole one like most ramen houses. The other reviews mandate that I return someday and try the other offerings at «From the Seoul» but I will not be eating ramen here again or coming back until the weather has safely warmed up.

Hidden next to a chain type restaurant in a storefront a gem. Not fancy but hands down the best Korean in town. Quite a few things missing on the beverage menu and the young server could have helped explain some things. Luckily I have visited Korea before so lucky me. Besides all that the food took a bit but was exceptional. I had the beef dumplings and a pork bellies Kimchi Bokkum, Wow! The prices were cheep and left full. Highly recommend.

My friends and I were driving down from the Cape Cod area and were looking for a place to grab dinner on the way home. We figured there would be many options off of the Dartmouth exit. To our surprise, there weren’t that many places off the main road that we could see that interested us. Then from the corner of our eyes we saw«SEOUL». Half of us being Korean, we decided to check on Unilocal to see how the reviews were. They weren’t bad and hunger combined with curiosity, we turned around. At first glance at the décor and presentation of the menu, we were a little skeptical. We tried ordering some of the staple foods like soondubu for comparison purposes. To be honest, the food wasn’t all that bad. Even our Korean friends said the food was pretty good and the flavors were pretty good. I wouldn’t rate it the best Korean food I’ve ever had. But I would definitely stop in here if I was driving by and was craving Korean food. Great family owned restaurant! Don’t let the location and outside signage discourage you. Give this place a try and support a local business!

I love this place. I try to come here weekly. The owner knows my order basically because I usually get 2 things, but I just love my usuals. I do try new things there too, so don’t be afraid to try anything. Great portions and I never had an issue with my food. If you dine-in, you get great variety of banchan too, which I love. One of my favorite Asian restaurants.

I’m never not impressed by this place. The portions are huge and you really do get your money’s worth. They have an array of entrees from authentic Korean dishes to alternative American sandwiches. They have a little something for everyone. Bibimbap is my go to.

From the Seoul is by far one of Our favorite places in the Southcoast. The Bibimbap is always the Go To, and the Fried Pork Mandu is always the starter. The Galbi is phenom, and the Chap Jae is Delish. The dining room is always quaint and the service is by far very nice. We love bringing friends to introduce them to this spot. We love From the Seoul.

We stopped by for a bite to eat before the long drive back to Philadelphia. We were a little bit cautious because of the hole-in-the-wall feel, but when we received the food it was heaping and delicious. Everything was piping hot(almost too hot – had to throw some ice cubes in) and satisfying. There were many different kinds of banchan as well that were fresh and good compliments to the meal. We left with full stomachs and boxes of leftovers – we just couldn’t finish it all in one sitting. Two of our group were Koreans and they agreed that it was authentic and better than most places they had been to! Stop by and give it a try! The only down point was the location. I hope they have an opportunity to get better signs/advertising on the highway because we saw their sign by accident and decided to turn around for it. If we hadn’t we wouldn’t have had any of the great food we did tonight.

We love from the Seoul. Only downside was the speed of which food was served. You will never go wrong with japchae ! We also had the sweet and sour chicken(we ordered yumyang chicken though but it’s ok) and seafood stew. I didn’t particularly like the seafood stew. ordered yuengling but our server gave us yuengling light, which once again was not a problem. Should have told them we ordered yumyang chicken. oh and it would be even better if the store design(at least the outside) is more attractive lol

So excited to see a real Korean restaurant doing business in my hometown! Pros: The ramyun noodle soup with its tasty broth had my dad swooning, remembering his long ago days traveling in Asia — and it was under $ 5!!! The kimchi, fish cakes and other complimentary appetizers were great and came with the entrees. The tofu hot pot had the melt-in-your-mouth custard texture that I love. Try the sweet potato noodles dish — sauce had a mild sesame-vinegar flavor perfect for someone who doesn’t like food too spicy. Good service. Cons: Smell of bleach was strong at lunch when I first stopped by and still noticeable at dinner. Only carried one kind of wine — Crane Lake. No dessert available — waiter said they have had ginger ice cream but were out.

This is one of those rare gems south of Boston. The quality and most importantly the freshness of the ingredients are superb here. It’s Boston quality without breaking the wallet. The atmosphere is laid back as is at most authentic Korean restaurants. They have all the main core Korean dishes and apps. I recommend the bibimbap(rice & veggie w/meat dish) which comes in a stone pot. And for soups(if you like something hot & spicy) the potato & meat soup. It may take some time during busy hours(which all depends on the day) because everything is cooked from scratch. It’s family owned– they are down to earth & personable. Lastly, it’s a place I feel comfortable going w/friends & family and even solo on many occasions to have a home cooked quality meal.

I’ve had korean food for years now in boston and providence and this probably is one of the best i have ever had. and because the prices were so good, it makes it even better! I’ve brought my friends from korea to this restaurant and they can confirm that it tastes authentic. the LA galbi is prboably my favorite, with some bulgogi, chicken wings, and some spicey pork. not only that, but the bon chon was quite delicious as well. im going to do the best i can to come to this place again and again everytime i crave for korean food!

Felt ridiculous going to this place and ordering the chicken sandwich but we got that and the beef bulgogi and both of them were amazing. Service is really friendly, place was super clean, had a bunch of TV showing different things but with the sound down. We had a great evening and a great dinner. Looking forward to going back and trying more of the things on the menu.
