History

Established in 2000.

I am an independent counselor with over 17 years of experience in a variety of settings. I have a rich and varied multicultural background and significant personal and professional experience with grief and loss, change, identity and belonging, mind-​body health and issues related to the immigrant experience. I have lived and studied internationally and bring a very global and holistic perspective to the work I do. I am very eclectic in my professional orientation and draw on the strengths of Redecision therapy, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Advanced Integrative Therapy, EFT and other body centered philosophies.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Community Mental Health Counseling and over 15 years of comprehensive clinical experience. I maintain a private practice on Main Street in Davidson and see adults, teens, tweens and families. I also counsel couples in all stages of relationships. I work with divorced and single parents, blended families and see people of every race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. I have a particular passion and expertise for working with teenagers as they struggle to define their identities, cope with the rapid physical, emotional and psychological changes that take place within themselves. My other passion and area of expertise lies in dealing with relationship issues, grief and trauma, and all that it encompasses. I provide a non-​judgmental and compassionate atmosphere in which you can safely explore and work through feelings, thoughts, images and beliefs, conscious or unconscious, that may be keeping you stuck.
