Business Owner

Managing partner of Guardian Pools. Began career in 1995 as a construction trainee, later advanced to pool service technician, then to pool repair technician, then to assistant service manager and eventually became the service manager. In 2005 lance became the managing partner of Guardian Pools and holds that position to this day.

My pool is almost 15 years old and the surface of the pool has become discolored and stained so I called Lance and asked him to stop by and take a look to see what might be done. He came by a couple days later, inspected the pool and told me that probably about 60% of the stains could be removed by draining the pool and acid washing the surface. I agreed. He had a man out the following day, put a pump into the pool and started the draining process. Another man came the day after the pool was empty and acid washed the entire interior of the pool. After he had completed the acid process the surface of the pool was clean and brilliantly white. Now that the pool is refilled and the chemicals have been added, to clear up the water, my pool looks spectacular. I think they removed virtually all of the stains and discoloration. The results are far beyond my expectations.

I called these guys in a panic, with a green slimy pool, after firing my last pool company. We discussed my situation at length and after feeling comfortable with the manager, I scheduled an appointment for him to come out and look at my pool. The manager came out as scheduled, introduced himself (I think his name was Lance) and went to work checking out my pool and the filtration equipment. He was honest about what he could do and what he could not do. He said he wasn’t sure he could save my green pool but he would try. The worst case scenario would be to drain the pool and chemically clean it. After five days (they did not have to drain the pool) my pool was clear, blue and sparkling again. It had not looked this good in many months. Additionally, the pump motor was extremely loud. They diagnosed the problem as bad bearings in the motor and I authorized them to install a new unit. The pump is located close to my bedroom, and now that it is running quite once again, I am sleeping much better. After the work was completed I signed up for a regular service for chemicals and cleaning. The man that cleans my pool every week is dependable and thorough and over the last year I have come to trust him with any recommendation that he might make, to insure that my pool is always useable and attractive. These guys really seems to have it together. I have noticed that another of my neighbors has recently hired them on as well and I think they are now servicing 3 pools in my neighborhood.

For years of owning a pool, I have tried many companies. I’m pretty easy going — and not that difficult of a customer. I always used little sort of «Mom and Pop’s», giving the little guy my business. Always, always problems. Imaginary problems it seemed with my pumps, this and that. After being fed up, I thought let me try on of what appears to me «the big guys» Guardian Pools. Well, this review is long over due, just never got around to it. The have been sort of invisible — yet keep my pool perfect. Any problems I’ve had — immediately addressed. I think I’m actually saving money. And surly headache’s. Thanks Guardian and Pete! Your guys are awesome!

I wrote a earlier review for Guardian Pools last year that was filtered out for some reason. I will try again because this company deserves recognition. Our pool is unscreened and has numerous water features, so it is quit difficult to service. We have been with Guardian for about six years and Horace has been our weekly service person for over four years. Horace does his job exceedingly well and never seems to have an issue with our complicated pool. He is polite, punctual and goes out of his way to please. Anytime there has ever been a mechanical issue, Lance, the manager, has always been quick to respond and made necessary repairs promptly and efficiently. Our pool always looks beautifully blue, clear and inviting. Last year we suspected a pool leak, called Lance and he had a a technician out the next day. They located the leak in the skimmer plumbing, under the deck, which turned out to be a pretty large job, but they stayed with it for three days until the job was completed. Before they left the job the premises were cleaned up wonderfully and everything left clean and orderly. My family appreciates and gives kudos to this fine company.

Not sure why all those good reviews everywhere but I emailed this company twice and no replies.
I left a voice mail this morning to finally find out with an arrogant ton that Lance is too busy and he is not doing any remodeling in Coral Springs when his website shows Coral Springs in the list of Cities he services. If he doesn’t do business in Coral Springs, why is it on his home page?
With the voicemail I received, I am glad I am not doing business with this company.

Not to worry though as I have already informed the new owners of our home of your most excellent service (which they could readily see) and they will be contacting you to continue with service for the pool.
Thank you for the great care you have provided over the last 2 years. Your personable technicians have always provided exceptionally good service as well as communicating clearly and concisely whenever any unusual care or service was required for our pool.
I only hope we will be fortunate enough for our next pool company to be at least half as good as your company.

I have been enjoying having Guardian Pool as my pool service for almost 10 years. They have managed the pool at my current home and at my prior home. During that time, they have provided reliable, honest service. If I alert them to a problem, prompt action is taken. Their service personel are friendly and helpful. They have even assembled my new automatic pool cleaners for me without charging a fee. Their repair quotes are always reasonable. I would definitely recommend them.
Additionally, we also had Patty servicing our pool, and notified Lance of our concerns with her service. He replaced our pool tech immediately.

Guardian pools have been servicing my pool for about 3 years now. Like any company that has more then one employee, things can fall short some times. What makes a company stay alive is its owner making the quick moves to correct any shortcoming quickly. Lance the owner has consistently kept the standards high for us and I would recommend them for servicing your pool. And their prices are right in line with the market but their service level is higher.

Great company with A-​1 service. Called them up to check my pool lines (thought they were clogged) Technician showed up on Saturday morning and an hour later the line was working like a charm. Technician was knowledgeable and courteous. Will definitely use again. When you call just ask for Lance.
