History
Established in 2013.
Baker Cecilia O. Ramirez learned the art of creating cakes back when she was a teen. In Ecuador, her mother, Carmita, makes a living as a baker. Carmita developed a unique recipe that made her popular in her hometown, Guayaquil.
Here in the USA Cecilia carries with her mom’s tradition and her secret recipe. Cecilia has a Bachelors degree in Early Education. She continued baking cakes and desserts as a hobby. She would give her cakes as birthday presents. Cecilia noted that other cakes would be left alone once they were shared. Not her cakes, people asked for another piece, or to take some home! Some even dared to ask for her recipe. But that was something they were not going to get.
Then it became obvious, she gave up her career to follow her dreams, become a baker. In 2013 Cecilia took the risk of quitting her job to open her own business. And that is how Ode to Joy and Flavor was born.
