I use creative ways to make learning fun, and provide personalized lessons based on the needs and interests of each child. I work with children from K — 6^th grade in all subject areas, and help with study skills, test prep, and homework. Along with 13 years of teaching experience, I hold a current Professional Educator’s Certificate in the state of Florida, and I am endorsed in Elementary Education, Gifted Education, and ESOL.

History

Established in 2011.

I took early retirement from Broward Schools, and opened my own tutoring business. My first clients came from Lakeside Elementary School, where I taught for 13 years. Since that time, I have gained many clients through word of mouth, my website, and the help of Ace Educational Store employees! I enjoy working with children on a one-​to-​one basis, so that I can focus on the skills they need for success.

Business Owner

I am a friendly, energetic, and creative woman. In August of 2011, after 13 terrific years of teaching in Broward County, I opened my own tutoring business. I love my career, because it gives me the flexibility to work with children of many ages and educational levels.

I grew up in Hollywood, Florida, and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis. After a career as a graphic designer and art director, I moved back to Florida. While volunteering at my children’s school, teachers there mentioned I was a natural educator. Taking this advice, I worked on my certification while substitute teaching. I was hired after my very first interview!

I love to learn as much as I love to teach, so I read and take classes to broaden my knowledge base. I also make sure to keep up with any changes to the educational system, both local and national.
