This medical practice specializes in comprehensive foot and ankle care. We treat a wide range of foot and ankle problems, everything from ingrown nails and nail trimming to heal pain, but it’s, neuroma, forefoot and metatarsalgia. We specialize in diabetic care, including amputation prevention. We perform reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. We perform flatfoot reconstruction. We also operate a neuropathy center perform comprehensive lower extremity neurological assessment and treatment for advanced, recalcitrant neuropathy symptoms. We have in office x-​ray, laser therapy, vascular testing, neurologic testing, ultrasound imaging for musculoskeletal pathology, as well as advanced treatment such as PRP injections for hard to treat heel pain and Achilles pain.

Established in 1991.

Dr. Basso is certified by the American Board of podiatric surgery and the American Board of podiatric orthopedics. He is a fellow of the American college of foot and ankle surgeons, a fellow of the American college of foot and ankle orthopedics and medicine, and a fellow of the Association for extremity nerve surgeons. Dr. Basso performs advanced peripheral nerve surgery for neuropathy. He is a past president of the California Podiatric Medical Association, and served on advisory board to the California school podiatric medicine at Samuel Merritt University from 2002 to 2012. He currently is a delegate to the American Podiatric Medical Association and is a member of the public health committee within APMA.

Dr. Basso studied physiology at UC Davis. He graduated from California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco in 1988. He then went to Dallas, Texas to complete his residency in podiatric foot and ankle surgery. He was certified by the American Board of podiatric orthopedics and medicine in 1993 and then certified by the American Board of podiatric surgery in 1997. He is a fellow of the American college of foot and ankle orthopedics and medicine and a fellow of the American college of foot and ankle surgery. He is trained in advanced techniques in peripheral nerve surgery for the treatment of neuropathy and recalcitrant pain syndromes. He is a fellow of the Association for extremity nerve surgeons.

Dr. Basso has been active in the Association. Served on the Board of Directors for the California podiatric medical Association from 1998 to 2008. He served as president of the California podiatric medical Association from 2005 to 2006.
