Davis Assisted Living, Carlton Plaza is now open and residents are moving in! The new community features 120 independent or assisted living apartments surrounding a large, secure, central courtyard and, in the Carlton Senior Living tradition, is designed to provide a centrally located, secure and supportive environment for a diverse population of seniors with varying service and care needs. Carlton Plaza of Davis offers independent living, assisted living for those who need a little extra help with daily activities, and Carlton Senior Living’s signature memory care for those challenged by dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. A licensed vocational nurse on staff every day assists residents with their health management, diabetes control and medication.

Serving: Davis, Elk Grove, Sacramento, Woodland, Dixon, Vacaville, Fairfield, Cottonwood and Winters, California.

I got started in the senior living business because my own mother, Caroline was in need of assisted living and back in 1985 there was nothing other than nursing homes. At this time I switched gears from designing and building restaurants and hotels and took that knowledge into creating the best senior living community my and my mom’s imagination could create. Now it’s many years later and we have senior living communities all around the Bay Area run by a team that truly share the «Caring Gene». I am so fortunate to be amongst such talented and dedicated professionals. Big thanks to everyone!

Great place for my mother so far. She’s been there a few months and is enjoying it. Clean, staff are always friendly (hi Jesse!), and the services are good. Staff know all the resident’s names and are very friendly. Mother has done some art projects which she likes. There are other activities which I see residents attending. The food is okay. It’s better than my home cooking but not as good as it could be. It could be spicier in general, or have the option for more spice. I might recommend that they add just a touch of fancy plating to the dinner. A sprig of rosemary, or a design of sauce, or something would be easy and inexpensive.
One of the good parts is that it’s not all just independent living. You can choose from an a la carte menu of services that are needed. So you pay for just the services you need. When mother moved in we had a few extra services and those have now been reduced as she’s gotten a bit stronger. They made an appointment for her, transported her in wheelchair, and sent a staff person to go with her to push her around. Costs extra, but worth it.
The building is new so it’s clean and well cared for. Good location with easy access to the freeway. Construction seems solid with no sound heard from other rooms. Nice big windows that let in plenty of light, however, if I were queen and building a facility I would make the windows a bit lower down so it’s easier to see out of them when sitting.
Costs are in the neighborhood of 3 – 3.5K for the services my mother is getting. Most of it is the standard rate for just the room, meals, entertainment, and limited transportation.

Carlton Plaza has only been open about a year but they have very well trained staff who are very caring. If you are looking for a new community for yourself or a loved o e, you owe it to yourself to check this one out!

Our mom didn’t want to move last month but we knew it was time. We like to think she is coming around to the idea of living at the senior home. While she has been resistive the staff have been great in working with us to get her settled. Especially on the hard days when she misses her old home.

This Place Appears to be nice on the outside; I advise to do a pop up visit and ask to tour, the kitchen is beyond dirty, the food is the worst, the caregivers are great but Rob and Memory care and assistant living mangers are all about money. I moved my mom in & out cause everything they promised was a lie.
I highly don’t recommend this place for no one but animals.

I had a great time visiting my best friends mom at Carlton Plaza of Davis. She is happy, well taken care of and the staff is wonderful. While she initially didn’t want to move, she is happy that she did. My friend is happy too that her mother settled in quickly, made new friends and is getting the care she needs.
I recommend that anyone in the area looking for a senior living community around Davis visit Carlton Plaza of Davis to see the great lifestyles residents are leading.
