Davis Massage Center was founded in 2001 and purchased by our beloved friend, Amanda Lee, in 2010. Chelsea Bell took ownership of the studio in 2015 and continues the tradition of running a happy and empowering woman-​owned business in the community.

Made last minute reservations on Friday night for Sunday afternoon massages for both me and my freshman son (his first). Online reservation system was super easy to use and much appreciated at 11pm. Pennie was my therapist and did a phenomenal job of attacking my stressed out knotted up back. Maria did a great job in getting my son to relax after midterms, to the point he «thinks» he may have dosed off! Would highly recommend and plan on making many visits during the next 4 years my son will be at UC Davis!

After tweaking my neck from a bad nights sleep, I made a lunchtime appointment with Bryanne. I explained my issues and concerns and she made a huge improvement on how I felt! I will definitely be going back to her in the future and highly recommend her for a deep tissue massage.

This hidden little gem is amazing! My boss gave me a gift certificate for my birthday and I called on Monday and got an appointment for Thursday to see Bryanne and she was perfection! This was my first massage since I broke my foot earlier this spring so I was a bit worried it would make my foot swell and feel worse. Boy was I wrong! She gave the perfect amount of pressure and made all my worries melt away. I will be back soon!

Davis Massage Center is amazing! My first experience was 6 years ago, when I sprained my back. One session set me right. After that I kept going back and Davis Massage Center straighten me out. The muscle ball of knots that was my body has since been healthy. I keep going back for the occasion strains (caused by an physically active life style) and for the relaxing therapeutic experience.

I went to Amanda for a same-​day massage on a recent rainy Saturday, and just went back today after a half-​marathon. I hardly do massages at all, but I could easily become a regular with Amanda — I feel like a new person with pieces that fit together more easily! She asks good questions and adjusts what she’s doing based on what you say. The place itself is pristine, cute, tucked-​away, and totally central — unpretentious and very approachable for us newbies. My friend went to Chelsea today and emerged raving about her skills as well. I’ll definitely be back!

Both Amanda and Chelsea are wonderful. They have different massage styles. Both are proactive about asking what style/​pressure of massage one wants, and are talented masseuses. They are easy to schedule with usually, and try to be flexible/​work with your schedule. I highly recommend Davis Massage.

Chelsea is, hands down the best massage therapist I have ever been to or could ever ask for. She is in-​tuned with my body and listens attentively to my problem areas and customizes each massage to those requests. The atmosphere is calming and she makes the massage about you and your needs. Its hard not to spend my extra money on anything else but a 90 minute with her. I have recommended her to several friends, who have all been equally as pleased with her massage abilities and her lovely presence. Thank you, Chelsea! You are a lifesaver :)

I found Amanda by accident– I called after hurting my back one Saturday and thought I called the place closest to me. She called back and not only fit me in very quickly, but she listened to me explain my problem areas before giving the «smartest» massage I’ve ever received. I just had my first massage with Amanda and she was amazing. She may look small, but she is mighty! I hold a tremendous amount of tension in my shoulders and Amanda did a great job of easing me into the deeper part of the massage. She has a really intuitive touch and also a very sweet and calming demeanor that just makes the whole experience really comfortable and relaxing. I know three other people who have gone to her and feel the same way. Treat yourself!

Chelsea is phenomenal! I have had massages from various therapists, and Chelsea is by far my favorite; and she’s even better than those at large facility, professional-​type spas and the ones at five star resorts (not to mention you pay triple). It only took me one 60 min massage to be convinced, which I then subsequently bought a 10 one-​hour package deal immediately after. Anyway, I highly recommend Chelsea! I have to force myself not to go too often so as not to get spoiled.

I’m very excited that Chelsea Bell is working here in Davis now. She’s an excellent therapist – she’s good enough to put you to sleep, but she’s also adept at treating problem areas (sciatic nerve, in my case). During my last treatment with her, she worked my lower back, glutes, and legs for the hour, and my sciatic nerve really felt much better. I’m a grad student so I’m stuck at a desk a lot – I’m really glad she’s closer to campus now.
