I went to Dr. Hartz a few times. My first impression was that I found it odd that his business is only him. Not even a secretary or anything. During my first appointment, he asked me how much my copay was and I did not know. He said he usually has clients find that out beforehand. I have never had to do this at a medical office, because someone (i.e. secretary) usually checks with my insurance and bills me accordingly. I could not find it and ended up being surprised by an enormous bill after I stopped going.
My first visit was good and cleared up a major problem. The subsequent visits were okay; they provided temporary relief which was pretty much gone by the time I reached my car. This may just be the nature of chiropractic services, I do not know.
Dr. Hartz was pretty conscious of my comfortability, though sometimes his personality was a bit off-​putting. I do believe he cares about his patients. However, I have had a chronic issue that I still have now and told him about it but he ignored my complaints twice.
Anyway, I don’t think I’ll be back and will opt for a larger office/​business next time I need help.

I went in to see Dr. Hartz while pregnant and experiencing intense sciatica. He was recommended by friends of mine who couldn’t say enough good things about this man. I was skeptical because I didn’t think there would be a fix for my pain, but I was desperate. Dr. Hartz showed interest in my health in a way few doctors do. After a long consultation with him I became very comfortable, for he shows sincere interest and concern in his patient’s suffering. He went to work and after 45 minutes I evolved back into my former self – relaxed and free from pain. I am still amazed at how good I feel three weeks after my session. Thank God for doctors like Dr. Hartz. I am forever grateful.

A few weeks ago, I saw Dr. Hartz for my chronic back pain that was seemingly incurable; I received several deep tissue massages and chiropractic treatment from other individuals, but nothing seemed to help. Dr. Hartz was able to see me the same day, and asked lots of questions about my pain, with a genuine care and concern. I received physical treatment in the form of moist heat, electric muscle stimulation, massage, and an adjustment, all of which were very relaxing. After just one appointment, I felt instantly relieved and am still pain free today. I would definitely recommend seeing Dr. Hartz!

A trip to see Dr. Hartz is like a trip to a spa. Plan on spending 45 – 60 blissful minutes for an appointment. It starts with moist heat packs with electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound massage, soft tissue massage, and then adjustments with a gentle pressure. He takes the time to read what my body needs so my spine can be healthy. He explains everything he’s doing, doesn’t suggest an appointment plan and takes my insurance. His adjustments last about two to three months for me so I only see him 4 – 6 times per year and my back and neck feel great! When I left the Bay Area for Davis I was so sad to leave my chiropractor but Dr. Hartz is my new favorite.

I have been going to Dr. Hartz’s clinic for several months now and I have to say that he is really great. He takes the time to figure out what the problem is and always finds the right adjustment. He also recommends postural exercises and really cares about his patients’ well-​being. If you have acute pain and need to be seen urgently, he will always make room for that. Really knowledgeable, pleasant and caring. I highly recommend him!

I discovered Dr. Hartz three years ago and have used his services ever since. He is professional is every sense of the word. He has adjusted my back several times and each time I walked out healed of my misalignment. I highly recommend him.

Wow! I’ve had back problems for years and seems like i have tried/​seen everything/​everyone. So my back pain goes through the roof and I wait and wait b/​c I don’t know if anything will help and my back keeps getting worse and worse. I finally gave in and decided to do something about it. I found Dr Hartz on my insurance list… and he took care of my back in just a few treatments! I’ve been doing great ever since… which is a big deal to me because I have had a lot of problems with my back for many years. Dr Hartz was very knowledgeable and caring; he answered all my questions and I started feeling better with the first treatment. A wonderful experience. I sent a friend and a couple of co-​workers to him and they have all thanked me. I’m so glad to have a chiropractor I have complete confidence in! Great find!

I’ve been to a couple of great DO’s and PT’s, but an excellent chiropractor is the best of both worlds. After a week’s worth of failed self-​management attempts to end, or at least diminish, my fibromyalgia flare-​up, I called a recommended chiropractor, who couldn’t see me for months. That chiropractor recommended Dr. Hartz, who saw me the very next day. He was EXCELLENT, with exceptional communication and listening skills. His eval was thorough, and he was very sensitive to my pain level and expectations of the day’s visit. He was very keen to receive ongoing feedback from me to make sure that he didn’t aggravate my condition. After several migraines, the most recent one lasting 5 days, I feel so much better after just one 1-​hour session with Dr. Hartz that I could actually cook dinner and hold and feed my infant son. I still have work to do to become stable and pain-​free, but I’m ecstatic to find such a great chiropractor in Davis and HIGHLY recommend him to ANYONE.
