concerned about food safety/​not impressed
im not sure what the regualtions are for food from other countruies but im not sure that they are always safe. On ⁶⁄₁₀ i found a shard of metal in my drink (a mango green tea with aloe vera). the drink was okay, i got 50% sweetness which was good, but the drink was a bit bitter (maybe due to sweetness level), im not super about their 1 drink size but i know it makes their lives easier, i wish they had a small (or childs) and then a regular.
the menu is hard to figure out and the cashier has no intention of giving you any ingredients (like say if you dont want dairy). so im not sure this place is super vegan friendly
ovrall, i wouldnt reccomend, but not a terrible place. i really dont like the lids on drinks

A nice go to place for boba if you’re near the Quad area in Davis. I’ve only ever had the milk tea here, but it has my approval!
Compared to the other trendy new drink places opening up, I personally like it when I can actually taste the tea in my drink, and they do it nicely and even have special accommodations for the amount of sugar and ice in your drink.
The interior design is trendy and popping with vibrant colors and wall art. It’s small, but I guess that’s what makes it cozy. They also have a non-​smoking outdoor seating area in front. The workers are nice, and I have never had a bad experience there.

Chill environment. Bright sign that illuminates the title. Reminds me of back at home in Hong Kong. Worker on register was really polite and patient. Worker on drinks were fast. I got the Okinawa Milk Tea and I love it. The menu is very clear and organized.

I’m on a mission to try every boba place in Davis! This place pulled me in the other day and I can say that it’s completely average.
I decided to get the strawberry black tea with lychee. They only have one size here, so I ended up what seemed to be a large.
On the positive; this place really lets you cater to your needs. If your someone who really wants that speciality drink then I would recommend coming here. They ask you your sweetness level and even ice level here.
On the negative: they charge for anything added into the drink and if you don’t want ice that’s an extra fee. Which seems a little strange!
The tea was neither has nor great. I wouldn’t come out of my way to go here, but it’s also not a bad choice if you are already downtown.

Sharetea has only been in Davis for a little while, but it has already won us over! Neither the location nor the quality can be beat.
I’ve had many bobas throughout my life, but Sharetea is my favorite. At most boba places I have been to, the quality of the drunk can vary. Some days the bobas are too hard, some days they are perfect. Sometimes I have a cup full of ice, sometimes only a few pieces. At most places I have been to, the drinks are too sweet and I need to wait for the ice to melt. Not at Sharetea!
At Sharetea, my drink had been perfect every time! The boba are always a good consistency and they allow you to pick your sweetness level and your ice level, which I think is great.
I’ve also never had a customer service problem. They’re always super fast at making drinks and I’ve never had to wait in a long line
Here’s a few things which, although I don’t consider them problems, some may dislike:
Parking could potentially be difficult. there’s only street parking, and some areas require permits
They do not have Thai tea
They only have one size. The size is what most places would consider a large

Stopped here for a drink on our drive up to Tahoe. It’s an outlet in UC Davis campus, and is filled with students working on their stuff or just hanging out.
Their creama tea is pretty good, but I prefer their green tea (the tea aroma is stronger).
Their restroom is located upstairs and require a key to access it.

This place took over what used to be Oshio’s. So it’s super close by campus! Sharetea definitely did some remodeling because as I remember Oshio didn’t have too much room for seating inside and wasn’t very well lit. Now there’s plenty of room both inside and outside of the restaurant and it’s very well lit! They did choose an interesting color for their walls tho (yellow and brown).
Came here yesterday and it was completely empty! Not usually a very good sign to walk into an empty place. Then again, most of Davis was a ghost town because finals were over and spring break had started.
Ordered the ice cream black milk tea and asked for 30% sweetness and less ice. They charge 25 cents for no ice which seems kind of stingy to me because the Sharetea locations in SF, San Mateo, and Palo Alto don’t do that. Milk tea tasted watered down and wasn’t sweet at all. Boba was mushy and seemed like they over cooked it. Thank goodness there was a scoop of ice cream in there to give it some sweetness. Willing to give this place another try if I’m in town just because all the other Sharetea locations make good drinks all the time.

One of my favorite places to grab boba in Davis! The location is prime, literally right off campus. The store is pretty small so sometimes the line will be to the door, but don’t worry, it goes by super quick!
Recommended drinks: peach green tea (duh, that’s my regular), okinawa milk tea, hokkaido milk tea, strawberry black tea
I always get my peach green tea w/​no sugar because I hate it when my drinks are overly sweet. The okinawa and hokkaido I get with 30% sweetness, sometimes 50% if I’m feeling the sweet tooth. The strawberry black tea is the only drink I get at full sweetness because it doesn’t taste good w/​o the sugar…
The boba here has yet to be bad, and I always get pudding w/​my milk teas! The drinks are one size, but trust me, you’ll want it all!

For some reason, this boba chain is not as good here as it is at other locations. A popular Taiwanese chain, usually ShareTea is pretty solid but this location my milk tea isn’t brewed as well or the drinks have too much milk in ratio to other ingredients.
I’ve tried various drinks such as Okinawan, Honey milk teas, and black sesame with different customizations on sugar and ice, and it’s a nice treat but not as high quality as other tea drinks I’ve had. I think Teabo, Mandro, and Shabu Extreme have higher quality drinks, and would only recommend ShareTea if you happen to be by that part of campus.

2 stars. why? Their syrup used in fruit teas (I got a mango green tea) SOLIDIFIES within 5 minutes of purchase… terrible!
Also their drink quality is always very inconsistent.
Ive had a lot of mango teas (or fruit teas in general) and I have never drank up SOLID SYRUP CHUNKS.
I would stir and shake the tea some more… nope.
It looks like a snow globe of syrup solids from big to small.
I came in around 12:50pm on a Tuesday. There were a few people ahead of me and I understand that they were very short-​staffed. But this is not a reason to rush on making drinks and having their quality turn out to be very poor.
Also, the cashier actually made my drink which was quite unsanitary since he previously handled cash.
I agree with someone else’s lost about the creama here. It is too sweet, too greasy. Having it mixed in the mango green tea is way beyond just «regular sweet».
Though this is the closest Boba store to campus, I would make that extra 5 – 10 minute trip to Teabo or Mandro’s for better boba, better tea, and consistency in their quality.
Lastly, I’ve heard many bad reviews from my friends who purchased the Hokkaido Milk Tea as well.

The service is extremely fast and it is a great place to work after 7pm on Mondays-Thursday’s. Fridays and weekend can be quite crowded though.
For me, the prices are quite high but it is Sharetea after all! I usually get the Orange Yakult drink here since it’s refreshing and a good balance of sweetness. Other drinks can go very bad or decent as well. My favorite is the Hot taro boba drink but it can be too sweet sometimes. Between classes can be hectic as well. Great for studying and meeting friends as there are plugs and campus wifi which is awesome!
Definitely one of the best boba places in Davis with it’s competition being Mandro and gongcha (coming soon).

So, after about two months ago I found out from my cousin there’s a sharetea in Davis. I was so ecstatic about having one so close. The closest one I’ve been to is San Jose. My favorite one is the Okinawa with boba.
I’ve been planning on going since my Christmas break started. But I was either too lazy or my kids and cleaning took up my time. So, today I FINALLY went! I brought my daughter along with me. She likes boba but she opted for a cake pop at Starbucks instead. We still shared mine. But she was asking if sharetea sold some and she also though the straws were jelly sticks. So maybe one day they’ll have snacks of some sort? Heh.
I ordered my Okinawa with boba and added ice cream. love it! The staff was really nice. It’s clean. Pretty easy to get to. Of course, it being so close to UCD there were college students.

Yet another boba place for Davis, just what they needed… At least Sharetea has finally arrived closer to Sac! I never tried it whenever I was in SF since I would rather go back to T-​Pumps, so I’m glad we’re able to take a short drive over to Davis and check it out.
The place is bigger than I could see from the photos. There’s plenty of room to stand if the line starts growing, and there’s plenty of tables inside and outside. A perfect study spot for those college students!
The menu is straightforward, nothing unusual from your other favorite boba spots. I went with the Okinawa Milk Tea. It seemed normal to me… especially since I’m already hooked on the pearl milk tea from Cool Tea Bar. I wish I would’ve gone with something more unique like the Oreo Milk Tea or the Strawberry Milk w/​Boba and Pudding, but I know I’ll be back to update my rating!

Came here on a Friday night. There was no line but there were a few people hanging out at the tables inside. This place is located at the corner right across from Death Star. Such a good location to come during class breaks! There’s timed street parking right out front and out door seating. Typical bubble tea menu with the option to choose ice/​sweetness levels.
I ordered the Okinawa which is pretty good and consistent compared to the Sharetea in San Mateo. I like the Okinawa at Mandro more though. My Sharetea order got messed up and they charged/​included both boba and aloe vera when I only asked for aloe. Can’t complain too much since it still tastes okay. I wanted to try the pudding topping but they were out. I’d probably come back since it’s so close to campus.

Pretty standard boba teas. Nothing super exceptional. My favorite boba black milk tea is still Mandro.
Came here with a friend one week after their soft opening and there was no line! The only wait was us trying to decide what to get.
I got the classic boba milk tea black with less ice and he got the Okinawa boba milk tea. Both drinks were very creamy but could have had a stronger tea flavor. The boba was ok. I’d prefer boba that was more chewy all around and less squishy on the outside.
Would come again if I was in the area — so convenient since it’s right by the death star.

I came in on a Thursday around 6:30. There was no line so that was nice. The place is really spacious in the front and towards the right there’s a seating area with a few tables. There’s a large selection of drinks which can be overwhelming at first. It took me and my friend a few minutes to figure out what we wanted. The girls in front were not really helpful and didn’t know what their drinks tasted like when I asked them how their honey milk and mango green milk tea tasted.
The pricing is a bit ridiculous. Even though you get a large drink, $ 5 is expensive for college students. Side note: they charge extra for less ice which is silly but I get it.
I ended up ordering the mango green tea with tapioca and 80% sweetness. I was really disappointed with my drink. It was super bitter. I understand it’s a tea and the tea flavor will be strong but it was wayyyyy too strong for my liking. They put actual fruit bits in the drink too. I didn’t really care for it because of the texture. I didn’t really taste mango in the tea either. The tea tasted very soapy to me. My friend disliked her drink too for all the same reasons. Only good thing was the tapioca which was soft and chewy.
I really wanted to like this place after hearing so much about sharetea but just go elsewhere. I understand it’s convenient to campus but it’s not worth it.

This used to be Oshio Café, and just opened a week ago.
I was overdue for a boba date with Ani T. after work and it was a toss-​up between Mandro and this new place. Sharetea won out. I’d never heard of its SF Bay or Socal locations.
Parked near 3^rd and C and walked over. Outside seating available, indoor seating to the right as you enter. There was no line, so the space between the door and the counter seemed huge… maybe if they had those bars/​ropes/​chains to define the line or provide direction…
Place orders on the left, pickup on the right when they call your number. I usually would go for honey milk green tea (Old Teahouse) or some version of taro milk black tea (Teabo), but was intrigued by the Okinawa (brown sugar) and the Hokkaido (toffee). The Happy Family one has like everything in it too: milk tea, herb (grass) jelly, lychee jelly, pudding, and tapioca pearls.
Got the Okinawa Milk Tea with pearls, normal amount of ice and normal level of sweetness. Ani got the same, except at 80% sweetness, and we both agreed mine tasted better. The lessened sweetness did bring out more of the roasted tea flavor though. They do accept cards, didn’t have any stamp cards though readily available. Overall large one-​size cup, chewy boba, tasty but not «wow,» and too far into town for me to warrant coming back regularly.
I’ve seen firsthand, it took ten years, but Davis is way cool now. Spoiled current students have this boba place right there near campus, Phở, Sam’s, Star Ginger food truck!!! Don’t get me started with the Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and midtown Sac eateries that also moved in. I just never left Davis is all, now I get to partake in all the foodie goodness with the rest of them.
UPDATE: Apparently after my visit, now you get a free topping with Unilocal check-​in.

YAY! I’m so happy this finally opened!
Pros: Legit boba straight from TAIWAN. I don’t think it gets much better than that.
Cons: FLIES. I guess the ugly colors attract hoards of flies, so when there is a line out the door (which will probably be often), be ready to shoo flies the whole time you’re in line. Also the seating and parking is really limited.
Overall: With high quality boba and the prime location, I’m sure Sharetea will be very successful here at Davis.

Woo the opening day finally arrived and the line was… Endless. The wait was approximately 1.5−2 hour wait, but I’m sure it wont be this way the following week. But hey! Davis has Sharetea now! That’s a big deal!
This Sharetea location is not too small or big, there are indoor (there is AC) and outdoor seatings as well.
The pricing is the same like any other Sharetea in the bay area, most drinks are $ 3.50 -$ 4.50.
Toppings (if not already included) is $ 0.50 extra.
My recommended drinks are:
* Ice Cream Black Milk Tea $ 3.75
* Matcha Red Bean $ 4.25
* Hokaido Milk Tea $ 3.75
* Fresh Handmade Taro $ 4.25
* Can never go wrong with Classic $ 3.75
I am not much of a fruity tea drink, but I like their:
* Kiwi Fruit Tea with ice jelly $ 4.25
You can also customize the level of sweetness and ice. If you ask for no ice it is $ 0.25 extra (lol like whut?! Who does that?)
Parking nearby might be a little hard to find, but if you park further, I’m sure there will be available spots. They accept credit card, and so far they havent shown any sign of electronic stamp cards like the other Sharetea branches.

The line for the soft opening is outrageously long so make sure you get here ahead of time. Their soft opening deal is buy a drink and get any of the 5 drinks for free with a purchase (picture posted). Don’t forget to customize your drink in ice levels and level of sweetness. They charge 25cent for no ice! They also have toppings for an additional 50cent. However, they do not have a minimum charge for using credit/​debit and also accept cash as a payment too
I got a kiwi fruit tea with ice jelly and that one was definitely a miss because it is tangy and sweet and citrusy. I wasn’t sure what flavor they were going for. However, my friend got a Hokkaido milk tea with pearl and the pearl was very chewy and the milk tea was delicious. I wish I had gotten a milk tea instead.
The layout of this boba shop is not really a place for one to study. They only have two small tabes with 4 chairs on each table and one larger table with 6 chairs. There are no bathrooms inside this boba shop so make sure you find one else nearby if you need to go. The parking for this boba shop is not too convenient as it is a one way street. This would be a good place to grab some boba while you’re on campus and craving something sweet.
I will definitely come back to try their other milk teas to see what they have to offer. I also need to try another fruity tea to make my final judgement on their fruit teas.
