We roast coffee fresh each week with a bike powered roasted and deliver it by bike to your door on Thursdays.

History

Established in 2006.

I started the business to roast peppers in the south western style. When I designed the bike powered roaster, which uses propane for the heat, I made the roast drum have two drums in case I wanted to roast additional productions. Eventually I decide that coffee was this product I decide to focus my energies entirely on coffee.

Today the Pepper Peddler delivers to over 165 residences in the Davis and Sacramento, as well as to many café, businesses, and grocers.

Whenever I have to describe what it is that makes Davis unique, I always mention the Pepper Peddler. For those of you who don’t know, the Peddler is a small company, just recently started up, that hand roasts and delivers fresh coffee beans to your door every week. As if that isn’t enough, they deliver by bike, and your coffee comes in reusable mason jars.
In fact, not only do they bike deliver, bike roasted, fair trade, organic coffee means to your door once a week, it is some of the best damn coffee you will ever get. At $ 10 a quart jar, it’s not expensive either. Plus, every time that box shows up on your doorstep, you get to sigh and think ‘That’s so Davis’
