History

Established in 2012.

Lambaria Eye & Optical opened in Davison, Michigan on July 18^th, 2012. Dr. Lambaria was first introduced to eyecare at the early age of seven. It happened when a group of Flint doctors from Medical Group Missions, an organization that arranged for physicians to go to countries that lacked medical care, went to Honduras and discovered a man named Anastacio Chavarria with both retinas detached.

The doctors arranged for him to come to Flint with them so they could perform eye surgery and reattach his retinas. Being from Honduras, Anastacio did not speak much english and he needing a place to stay. Dr. Lambaria’s parents volunteered to have him stay with their family and interpret for him.

The surgeries were successful and Anastacio was able to return to Honduras and continue to earn a living. Dr. Lambaria remembers this story well and it had a significant impact on his decision to choose optometry as a career.

To this day the Lambaria’s continue to receive cards Anastacio.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Dr. Lambaria is from Davison, MI and graduated from Davison High School. After graduating from the University of Michigan-​Flint, he attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Lambaria helped organize a medical mission of his own to South Africa with his school’s Student Optometric Service to Humanity (SOSH) group in 1998. They donated eyecare and glasses to over 2000 people.

Dr. Lambaria currently provides Complete Senior Home Eyecare in Genesee County. After visiting local senior homes, he recognized a gap in health care and performs complete eye exams at local senior homes.

He has been published in the Review of Optometry for diagnosing a rare tumor in a teenage patient. He also writes regularly as an eyecare expert for Innovative Health. He is also an active optometrist and is a member in the Michigan Optometric Association and American Optometric Association, the Davison Chamber of Commerce, and the Lions Club of Davison.
