Specialties
Coco’s Bistro has been voted Dayton’s best place for a business meeting and also for a romantic dinner.
Modern American bistro fare with a flash of fusion to bring new twists to classic dishes, Coco’s is an independent dining anchor for Downtown, Miami Valley Hospital and the University of Dayton.
With two outdoor patios for dining al fresco, a chef’s table and private rooms for functions, along with plenty of free parking, Coco’s is a great choice for rehearsal dinners or birthday celebrations. Our new High Violet lounge also offers a bar menu extending an hour past our dining room in the evenings — opening at 2pm every day.
History
Established in 1998.
Coco’s began on Fifth Street in the Oregon District in the former American Eagle bar. Serial entrepreneur and developer, Jim Gagnet and his partner Karen Wick (now Wick-Gagnet) crafted a contemporary space and menu that became one of the hot-spots of the Oregon rebirth.
After outgrowing the space, they sold to the Blue Moon who bridged the two buildings and created a larger restaurant, as the Gagnet’s searched for the next location, which was on Wayne Avenue. A two year renovation culminated in the opening of the second location which opened in 2006. As the restaurant grew it’s reputation as the place for a business meeting, it became apparent than the addition of private dining rooms would be essential to take Coco’s to the next level.
The third Coco’s on Warren Street opened on Nov 5, 2012, complete with the new High Violet lounge, expanded options for outdoor seating and more parking and the new private dining spaces.
