Gelato in black raspberry; what more does anyone need?! Fabulous. My wife chose a banana split with toffee and mocha ice cream. She isn’t a fan of whipped cream because most places use the fake stuff, but Graeter’s is one of the exceptions. She loved the whipped cream, as well as all the other toppings. The downside of Graeter’s is the price. It is not the kind of everyday ice cream jount, but is great as a destination dessert option. Lovely location, friendly staff. Definitely worth the money and the drive!

This place is delicious! Right next door to Oakwood and serving up frozen delights with house made chocolate. I had a very generous scoop of black raspberry chocolate chip(their most popular flavor). Loved it! Not overly sweet but the chocolate melted in your mouth(after the ice cream did). They also sell chocolate bars and Easter candy on sale. Looking forward to trying them tomorrow. Don’t hesitate to stop by — very friendly staff and you can sample before you buy.

I love this place when I am in Dayton it is a must stop. The workers are so friendly and engaging with substance. The ice cream, sauces, and whipped cream are amazing. They also walked around handing out chocolate for people to try. It’s always packed yet service is fast!!! Some say Jenis ice cream is the best in the US and nobody has mentioned they might be second best in Ohio!!!

Seriously my favorite ice cream spot in Dayton. I really enjoyed my visit at this Oakwood location. Dropped by half an hour before closing and didn’t feel rushed at all. The employees here are always super nice! Thanks to the employee who suggested the cheesecake crown with strawberry topic. Definitely one of my most favorite ice cream combinations! Already looking forward to my next visit!

The mint chocolate chip ice cream is NOT green, FYI. BUT it was possibly the best tasting mint chocolate chip I’ve ever had. I wanted to go back for more, but my waistline said I couldn’t. Did not give 5 stars because… the entire staff stared at me the entire time I was reading the menu trying to make a decision. It made me really uncomfortable and I have a thick skin. Also they did not have a display case to help influence your decision of the ice cream you wanted. Come on!

Growing up in Cincinnati, this was always a great treat. Now that I have been out of Ohio for years, I was excited to find a Graeters close to my hotel so I could come and get a fix while in town. The ice cream is the BEST! The double chocolate chip is my go-to flavor. I also have to get a box of chocolate buckeyes. If you have never tried this ice cream, you are missing out!

I love ice cream. I love it soooo much that at my wedding my college roommate said the one thing she will always remember about me was me eating pints of Ben and Jerry’s in my bed softened ever so slightly by the microwave for optimum scoopability. Graeter’s is no Ben and Jerry’s. And I mean that in the best possible way. The flavors are delicious, the chunks of chocolate legendary, and eating at the counter makes me feel like I’m a child in the 1950s.

Graeter’s Ice Cream in Oakwood is a great ice cream shop. No pun intended. Warm summer nights are well spent here. It is located right by the Oakwood Starbucks as well. They also have tubs of ice cream you can take home.

Several locals told me I could not leave Dayton without having Graeters famous black cherry chip ice cream or anything with chocolate because they use real Ghiradelli. So, there I was breaking my diet before the 7 day cruise starvation… eating ice cream! They were SO nice to me. Let me have half black raspberry chip and half cherry chip ice cream in a kids cup! I just couldn’t part without both. Ive NEVER had ice cream this good!

This place has the best ice cream in Dayton. I get the buckeye blitz milkshake, it’s pretty amazing. Take your kids their for a good time.

What In the world has happened to Graeter’s? The chocolate chocolate chip ice cream is so watered down, it is more like colored water, and the chips were like brown candle wax. No flavor of any kind, let alone chocolate. I have bought two pints of toffee chip ice cream recently and didn’t find one piece of toffee chip in either. My kids thought I was being overly critical. Went and then came back reporting the same thing. This outfit has cheapened its product to the point where it isn’t worth buying… especially the way it reams you on price. Coasting on its good name. If you want ice cream, you’ll no longer find any here worth having.

Great ice cream — helpful staff @ every location I have been to. This place is generally BUSY on a warm day, but it’s worth the wait… TRY: The Pretzel cone! WHY has no one else thought of this brilliant idea? It’s a little bit of salty and sweet for those of us who love that combo. I stole this one off my husband — thought it sounded weird at first… but trust me, it’s good. I generally always ask to task their seasonal ice cream and I have had a few good one’s but I generally stick with something of the chocolate variety. Yum!

In a land filled with much delicious ice cream, Graeters does stand a little above the rest, but not at the top. Ice Cream that is creamy, chocolate, with chunks of chocolate that are chewy, and good in every bite. Never had a flavor here that I didn’t like. They’ll ship it you if you need them to, or you can take some to go, in coolers with dry ice to keep it cold all the way to your destination. It is expensive, but for ice cream made fresh in the store every day, you can’t really beat it. Lower the prices and I’ll be visiting much more regularly

Um… this really is the best ice cream on the planet. It’s so creamy and flavorful. The dark chocolate chunks are soft and superb, not waxy like in most other ice creams. I can’t say enough about this place. It’s expensive but worth it. My favorite flavor is the raspberry chocolate chip. There’s nothing like it!

I am fortunate enough to have friends who truly understand my passion for ice cream. So much so, that one of them had 6 pints of Graeter’s fedexed to me here in NYC. The first shipment didn’t quite make it here in a solid state. So sad. But the second batch did! and the most amazing thing about their ice cream is that the chocolate chips are CHEWY. Think on that, beyotch.

Boy are we lucky to have a Graeter’s Ice Cream in Oakwood in addition to all the other super businesses. We are spoiled rotten.( ) My favorite flavor, for what it’s worth, is Mocha Chocolate Chip in a sugar cone. Perfecto!
