Hope Hotel & Conference Center

This hotel is substandard based on the price value for each night’s stay. The hotel offers wireless internet in each room, however the speed and reliability is so bad that it would just be better not to offer it at all. Inside the room, they offer very little in the way of amenities that is worth it, especially for extended stays. The mini-​fridge in my room did not even have a freezer. So for someone who likes to get some meals to heat up to eat rather than easting every meal out, just impossible. Next time, I’ll choose to stay somewhere else.

The bad: Old, dingy motel design with chipped, fading paint. Shower water pressure basically nonexistent. Toilets take forever to flush (first the water rises like it’s going to overflow, then it creeps down slow. Every hour or so, toilet makes a leaking noise. If you take a big deuce, I almost guarantee you will clog the toilet). The bathroom vent makes loud, rattling noise. If you look closely you can tell the inside is caked with dust and other nasty stuff. Creaky, old beds have very little comfort and are covered with old, motel design blankets. Internet is God-​awful slow most of the time. Walls are thin (I hear the telephone conversation of the dude next door every day). No safe deposit box. Front desk reps rarely know how to help you. Lighting inside rooms consist of three lamps from the 1970s that you have to manually switch on. There’s only 3 washers and 3 dryers available $ 1.50 per use.
The good: for such a bad, outdated-​looking hotel, things are fairly clean. I didn’t see brown spots on the towels or bedsheets. No cockroaches.

You will need a non availability memo from the front desk. Packeys (included resteraunt) is currently closed for renovations. There is a shuttle that runs every 30 mins to the commissary and the bx in the evenings. Beds kind of suck but they would be worse.

The hotel isn’t too bad. For one, there aren’t any bed bugs and it doesn’t smell of cigarette smoke. Also, there weren’t any roaches or loud people in the hotel so that was good.
The rooms were clean, and they gave you a free continental breakfast every morning. Most mornings there was yogurt, coffee, apple and orange juice, fruits, and some pastries (Muffins or danishes).
The beds were were the only bad thing at this hotel (besides the remodeling). It was super noisy when you would move around because of the box spring underneath the mattress. It sounded like you were sleeping on just the box spring.
There is plenty of parking at this hotel, and there’s a washing and drying machine that wasn’t too bad. It was $ 1.50 to wash and $ 1.50 to dry. If you wanted soap it was $ 1. My clothes were dry before the dryer was finished.

No. I would never stay here again. My major complaint are the beds. The bed is so creaky and offers no support whatsoever. My first night I woke up with my back as stiff as a board. And the key cards… I guess I kept demagnitizing mine. And that truly pissed me off because it always seemed to happen when I had a lot of bags and would park near my room.
The only things that saves this place are the friendly staff, and having a fridge/​microwave in the rooms. And also its proximity to WPAFB.
Overall…this hotel needs to be updated. Carpets with stains in the hallway… just overall yuck.

Old, dirty, loud, and expensive. The only thing going for it is that it is close to WPAFB. I’d pay out of pocket to avoid this hotel the next time I’m here on orders.

The hope is a good place to stay if you are looking for something close to Wright-​Patterson Air Force Base. It is right outside of the gate making it very convenient if you have business on base. It is a bit more expensive than staying on base but cheaper than other nearby hotels in the area.
I’ll go back again!

My husband and I are here for surgery for him and thought this place would be our best bet. We made a reservation online and said we had 2 adults, 2 kids, but they gave us a room with one bed. When we called they said it would cost $ 15 for a rollaway bed or $ 30 for a room with 2 beds, so we went with the latter. The room was sub par for the $ 110 we paid for it, it smelled old and everything was pretty outdated. We’re even on orders and they charged above the government rate. What is worse is they had no customer service. This place was a total rip off. We were supposed to stay 2 weeks, but instead went to the Holiday Inn.

Having stayed here too many times over the past 13 years, I have no idea how anyone can rate this place any better than 2 stars.
It’s a $hit hole!
The beds are terrible. Having been a witness of mold and no remodeling, I can only assume they painted over it. This entire building smells damp. The outside doors on the wings are LOUD, so if you’re near them, expect to be woken up as folks come in during the night.
My wife refuses to come with me if I’m scheduled to stay here because about 7 – 8 years ago, both my son and I got sick (allergy, presumably triggered by the mold) after staying in the rooms.
I’m here for 11 days this time in a room just off the lobby and right next to the vending machines. Terrible internet and no desk or table at which to eat or work.
Packy’s use to be great, and still is sometimes. But expect to be kicked out way too early on the weekend. Even if you have 100 people in there spending a boat load of money.

This place is not a $ 75 a night hotel. If you want to pay that much for a mediocre room in a old outdated hotel have at it. You can go to Col Glen and get a better place with breakfast for the same or less. Military people get stuck here when the base is full so we have to stay here but if you are in town and on your own dime look around for a real hotel. And if you want to waste another $ 9.00 go to the breakfast buffet for frozen sausage powdered eggs and some sort of frozen hash browns. And last if the hotel is «at capacity» the «server can’t keep up» so no Internet. Enjoy your stay

In the event you don’t get availability at the Wright Patterson Inn, you’ll get thrown into here for $ 71 a night.
When I checked in, they provided me with a room key… an actual, physical, metal key… not one of those magnetized cards that electronically unlocks your down. A real Key! What are we in… the 90’s?
Amenities include microwave, fridge, cable, ironing board, open closet space, 26 inch Vizio LCD TV, and free wifi.
Not handicap accessible…

We had a company conference at the Hope Hotel and their staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There is also a little restaurant/​bar in the hotel that has a good lunch buffet for $ 8.99 that has good healthy choices and is quick.

Stayed here a couple times. Everything is superb and well-​done.
Great sports bar (Packy’s).

I speak at venues across the US and am so very happy was here. The rooms nice and clean the hotel DOES NEED a face lift and still clean. The front desk help was great and the GMs and the Catering Manager was fabulous at setting us up a room to coach our students in. I would stay here with my family if traveling through.
