The food was always great the many times I have been to this restaurant… however I have not been back since a HUGE roach ran across the table while I was eating my breakfast!!! I just can’t stomach roaches!!!

I’ve been here several times over the years. The staff is friendly along with the owners that you see on a daily at the place. I love the breakfast! The portions sizes are of good size. The breakfast burritos are very good. Coffee on the other hand is not so good. Overall, a good family restaurant!

Yikes! There was a dead roach underneath our plate! The food came out fine and all but when we lifted up out plate to give to the waitress we looked down and saw some kind a roach dead… on the table. It turned me off on coming to the restaurant and left a sour taste in my mouth.

My husband and I visited this place on a Sunday around 10. We were seated right away although the place was crowded. I was a little hesitant to try this place because the atmosphere and location was blah. I mean the location looks bad but this seems to be a local favorite. OMG we had so much food! My husband and I ordered the Vegas Special for 6.95. I was expecting a little bit of food but man we really could have shared 1 plate. We substituted the toast for the pancakes and they were ridiculously huge lol. Good food and prices. Will be back!

Food is pretty darn good. nice fluffy pancakes. Really graded them down for a poor experience with the management. We were there with a large group and the waitress mistakenly gave me someone else’s pecan pancakes instead of my plain pancakes… no problem, these things happen. Since I had buttered them before she noticed I told the waitress I would eat them rather than wait to have them remade. At the end of the meal our waitress told me the manager told her to charge me for the more expensive pecan pancakes because I had eaten them. Excuse me? Your staff makes a mistake and I agree to eat it as delivered to avoid wasting food by having you throw out perfectly good pancakes and deliver them as I ordered… and you charge me for NOT costing you extra time and money to remake your mistake. What kind of manager/owner would rather alienate a customer, embarrass his server, and remake an entire plate of food rather than absorb the cost of a handful of pecans? I just don’t get it, but I won’t be going back. Lots of places serve pancakes AND value their customers.

The after-church crowd here would seem to indicate that the Legacy Pancake House would have excellent service and excellent food. That was not my experience. I will definitely give this restaurant another try(that many people can’t all be wrong), but normally, I wouldn’t come back. The service was poor. It took an extensive amount of time for someone to even take my order. She failed to point out the specials. I only learned of them after another waitress mentioned them to the couple at the next table. I would have ordered one of the specials, but got the Mexican Omelet instead. The arrival of my order was not horribly late, but was not prompt either. The server did not bring my juice. I had to ask three times – and was almost halfway through my breakfast – before my juice was brought to the table. The food was decent. The Mexican Omelet was not all that attractive. It was more of a scrambled egg log with Mexican-style ingredients mixed in, than a true filled omelet. It was tasty, but had a somewhat overwhelming flavor of, I think, cinnamon. If it was cinnamon, that would also explain the eggs looking a bit brownish. I would have pegged the prices at $$ instead of $, but then again, I didn’t get the opportunity to enjoy one of the very nicely priced specials. Two side notes: The restrooms were neat and clean – an absolute must. And, one of the staff was trying to say something to me that I just could not understand. He went away and came back with a glass of water, said, «water,» and put it down on the table. He was clearly trying to be helpful, but there should not be a language barrier between staff directly serving customers and the typical members of the customer base. In certain ethnic restaurants, this is actually expected(and adds to the atmosphere). However, in a pancake house in the middle of America, basic communication skills in English are a must for ALL wait staff! Overall, this was a fair experience, but I expect better next time – and there will be a next time.

Have been here several times, food was great, portions and price are better then expected. Service is typically good. Atmosphere isn’t amazing, and not the best location. Worth giving a stop.

Food is pretty good. Service is great. Not sure why I didn’t come here sooner. And where else can you get a gyro and pancakes?

Our softball team came in for breakfast before our tournament and it was fantastic. «The food was three stars but the service makes it five. « “People were rolling in and they kept pumping out breakfast» «The gem of Dayton»

Good little diner/breakfast place. Food was good, and service was friendly during a late lunch. The facility is a bit shabby, but the prices are great for food quality. Ranch chicken wrap was excellent, and the kids liked their French toast & waffles.

Food Taste = 4 star Size = 5 star Price = 5 star Rough part of town in a former Ponderosa. They haven’t bothered to replace the carpet(yuck), but the service was excellent. Once you sit down you will not be disappointed.

Best pancakes in town. Big menu with reasonable prices. All you can eat fish on Fridays.
