Love the food here. It’s not like any other restaurant in town & it’s healthy. Great variety & great service even if you’re in a hurry!

Awesome food. The Phở is great. When you order the spicy beef soup don’t ask for more than 2 on a scale of 5 for heat or you will be sweating.

The best — ingredients are always fresh and chef combines spices to make every dish taste fantastic. Service is excellent and they are always great with accommodating special requests like low sodium dishes. My families an I love this restaurant.

Worth the drive to Dayton. Look for it next to Tractor Supply. Awsome and authentic Vietnamese food.

I had the small beef phở for lunch. The broth was average. All the other ingredients were delicious. The green tea hit the spot. Yeah, that spot. The service was attentive. I will defiantly come back next time I am in town at meal time!

Very good food, great soup! Prices are excellent and food quality is outstanding. Certainly not what you’d expect from a little place like this hidden in a strip mall!

I have to come to Dayton every couple weeks on business, overall there isn’t a whole lot around, food or otherwise. However, the Vietnamese Bistro is by far the best place in town to eat. Even if it wasn’t in Dayton where there isn’t much in the way of competition, I would still frequent this place. I was apprehensive after actually seeing the place for the first time, but I am glad I didn’t judge this book by its cover. The food is very, very inexpensive for what you get. I have never had a bad dish from the Vietnamese Bistro. Even the crawfish (which I would never usually order from a place that looks like this) are great. I recommend the shrimp curry dish with noodles. On top of the great food and dirt cheap prices, the people that work there couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. I believe that they are also the owners/​cooks. Don’t get me wrong, this is not a fine dining establishment, but if you close your eyes you might think otherwise. This is the type of place that deserves to stick around. I highly recommend you give it a try.

Man, I didn’t know how to feel about trying Vietnamese food but I’m glad I did. The food was awesome! The fresh cut herbs they put on top is fantastic and the Jackfruit smoothie was amazing! The curry is great. Can’t wait to go back.

We hit up this place on our summer vacation on a total whim and got our a$$es handed to us with some AWESOME Vietnamese food with AWESOME prices!!!
Checked into our hotel, cleaned up and drove down the Dayton «strip», totally expecting to only find crappy fast food as it was 8:30 pm. I will be honest; on the outside the Vietnamese Bistro looks questionable compared to some of the Vietnamese restaurants I’ve been to in Houston, Texas but do not let the strip center location fool you! This «fish out of water» (according to our server) did not disappoint and offered up authentic, well portioned and beautifully garnished dishes that tasted delicious.
We started with the pork spring rolls, which had a lightly seasoned pork, noodle and sprout filling that melted in your mouth. The dipping sauce wasn’t overpowering and it was a tasty treat to wake up our sleepy and dog-​tired taste buds.
My husband had the traditional Phở Bo with all of the traditional garnish; cilantro, lime, sprouts, hot sauce and true Thai basil. Because he doesn’t know the limitations of his stomach size, he also ordered a dinner plate of seared pork with lemongrass, noodles and a small salad. Both of his meals were again not overpowering with their seasonings, but the spices complemented both dishes nicely. He ate them both BTW…
I ordered steamed dark meat chicken with plain rice and a small salad. The chicken drums were authentically split lengthwise with what appeared to be a meat cleaver and cooked perfectly. The two accompanying dipping sauces also complemented the food perfectly and I particularly enjoyed the ginger/​red pepper dipping sauce with my chicken.
Also, if you have not ever had authentic Vietnamese hot café, please TRY IT! Grounds were perfectly pressed to allow the flavors to reach their maximum strength and were slow dripped over cold, condensed milk. Before you make a face, ask for a cup, mix the milk and coffee once brewed (this is done at the table) and take a sip. You will probably throw rocks at Starbucks.
All in all, we were highly impressed with this restaurant. As two people who love food and are considering relocating to the Tennessee area, I really hope Vietnamese Bistro continues to grow and expand to other locations. The family pride in the food is evident upon the first bite.
As an aside, our server (I’m sorry I did not get his name) was a super nice and super polite young man. He was the first person to give us a «Welcome to Dayton!» greeting in this town and presented himself and his family’s restaurant with the utmost pride. Thank you, Vietnamese Bistro!
