Front Street Junction

My daughter was here for Easter and we decided to order pizza to go from FSJ. We ordered a large half pepperoni and half Hawaiian. We also ordered a medium veggie pizza with pineapple added. Since we do this several times a year, we knew what to expect. And we weren’t disappointed! It took 20 minutes from call in to pick up. The pizzas were hot and delicious! In fact we thought they were some of the best we have ever eaten. The young lady at the take out window was friendly and efficient. Now when we dine in the restaurant, my favorite is the grilled chicken sandwich with french fries. The taste is out of this world! If you are ever in De Kalb, TX, don’t miss Front Street Junction.

I have been there several times now and have always been satisfied with everything. They have excellent fried pickles and delicious burgers. They also make great pizzas. My husband loves the rattlesnake pasta. The servers are always friendly and the restaurant is clean. We love the free ice cream cone after the meal. One of my favorite places to eat!

While driving home to League City, TX we decided to stop and eat for lunch. The hostess was super friendly and sat us quickly. Restaurant and restrooms were super clean. Great variety of menu choices with reasonable prices. Waitress was friendly and checked on us often. Food came quick and was very good. I would highly recommend FSG

Great for big groups. Came in with large crowd near closing. Could not have asked for better service and the food was amazing. We did miss out on the mashed potatoes since they were sold out for the day, but our orders came out hot and the food was delicious. Portions lean to the heavy side, but the food was so good there was only one leftover box. Hailey was great and made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I went there for Valentine’s Day. It was wonderful! The food was fabulous ! The service was superb. At most restaurants around here if you order a salad with your meal they bring the salad with your meal but here they brought the salads out right after we ordered them giving us time to eat the salads before our entrees were served. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Cuties interior! Great food! Loved the chips and salsa. Homemade salsa! Burgers had great flavor and the french fries were Crispy & tasty. Service was friendly. All at a great price.

The food specials are the best deal. The portions are huge and food is served with a smile, tastes great and is made fresh. If you are in the area it is a great place to stop and enjoy a country meal with numerous selections and plenty of food types

Great service. Catfish was just ok, not much flavor. Seasoned fry’s and spicey ranch sauce were my favorites.

Living in Austin, I get to experience all sorts of cultural dishes and foods I never would have tried otherwise… but there’s nothing quite like coming back to DeKalb for the holidays and going to the Junction for their good old Monterrey Chicken. FSJ is definitely in the heart of this small town. I’ve grown up going to eat at the Junction with my family after church, with my friends after a shopping trip, or before a Friday night football game. I’ve never tried anything from the Junction I didn’t like — the Monterrey Chicken is my favorite, but they have everything from sandwiches to ribs to pizza to awesome appetizers to a delicious salad bar with their own homemade dressings. The restaurant itself has a Southwestern country atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. Ask anyone in town — if you’re passing through DeKalb, plan to eat here! You won’t regret it!

Went in for lunch with family on a visit. The atmosphere is homey and welcoming. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was very good and the portions were plentiful. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will definitely return.

I visited from the SF bay area and came here for a local steak dinner. A big, juicy rib eye was only $ 11.99! Yeah, I could get a steak for that price in the bay area but it would be about the size of a credit card. DeKalb is lucky to have this restaurant. I heard the catfish is awesome too. Will definitely come back when I’m in town.

The food is wonderful. My boyfriend and I came here today to visit his family. We were hungry and his father wanted some catfish. We sat in the car for a while, wondering where in the world would we find some catfish at 6:30 pm on a Saturday. The only alternative was either to drive into the next town maybe even further, or go to Sonic/​Dairy Queen across the street (bleh! Commercial food is everywhere!!.). until we saw FSJ and lord & behold they had catfish. We also ordered some chicken fried chicken, tilapia, and pecan pie.
There is nothing like getting some down home country cooking in a small town, and the pecan pie? *Drool* I may have to take another 3 hour drive back here again just to buy it. The hostess at the front who took our to go order was very sweet, and the restaurant was pretty busy.
Next time we come to visit fam, I know exactly where to go for food

This is my small hometown restaurant. I can’t tell you how lucky we are to live in a small town and have a restaurant of this quality. Life would simply not be the same without FSJ. Food is always good. Service is always excellent. And I don’t know how they do it for the price. Folks come from miles away to eat here. Saturday night specials including the Steak and Shrimp Scampi… can’t be beat. The lightly blacken Trout… dang! Also secret special sauces like the spicy ranch and Jalapeño Jack Sauce… keep things exciting. Small but great salad bar with HOMEMADE Ranch and other dressings. Homemade pies and desserts, yummy. Stop in if you’re traveling through. If you live here… you already know… good good good.

Great Food, Great Service
I always look forward to eating at FSJ — hamburgers, pizza, Tex-​Mex, pasta… everything is great.
Most of the wait staff are lovely young local ladies, and they’re all friendly and good at their jobs.
I’ve been going to the FSJ for years, and never been disappointed. If you’re traveling between Dallas and Little Rock, take a little detour to DeKalb. You’ll get a better meal at the FSJ than at the national chains, and meet some nice people in the meantime.
