L.A. Bistro

I’ve both eaten at this restaurant as well as ordered take out. The food quality was excellent. The dishes I ordered were almond chicken as well as honey firecracker chicken. The second one is very flavorful. Also, when choosing a side, be sure to order the soup. It’s basically another meal. In terms of proportions, what you get is worth what you paid. Additionally, the service was extremely friendly with the waiters having smiles on their faces as well as accommodating requests.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

After walking a black and a half in the blustery cold to get to the front door of L.A. Bistro, I was surprised to find there is no front entrance to the restaurant. Bummer. It’s also a little tricky getting into their parking lot, and you’ll be ticketed if you park in the other lots, so be aware.
We received excellent service throughout our meal, but the waiter COMPLETELY dropped the ball at the end. I was having lunch with a friend I hadn’t seen for two years, so we sat at the table to talk after eating. He never returned to fill our water glasses, which were empty, or to ask if we wanted coffee or tea or anything else. I left extra in my tip because we stayed longer than the average customer, and would have left quite a bit more had he continued to service our table the way all good waiters should.
Both of us ordered portabella mushroom risotto with chicken lemon rice soup. This soup is excellent, and highly recommend. The flavor of the risotto is phenomenal, and the portion large. This dish could easily be shared, and we both took home leftovers. It is not as good when reheated because you realize quickly just how greasy and unhealthy this dish is. My daughter couldn’t eat it because it was so greasy. I know it’s made with a cream sauce, but it’s a bit over the top even considering that.
All things considered, I’d give L.A. Bistro 3.5 stars, but since that’s not a choice, I’ll err in their favor with 4 stars.

Food was okay, the almond chicken was good. The service was decent.
I was very upset at the end. The server didn’t bring me my bill. I gave him my credit card to pay. My bill was 92 dollars for 3 people and a child. He adds the 20 percent gratuity on his own. I didn’t know he had added the tip. So I put 12 dollars tip. After thinking for 1 minutes I asked to get my bill. Once I saw that I asked the manager why the tip is added by the waiter. Manager couldn’t explain the waiter disappeared. I erased the 12 dollars tip and told the manager that it’s a shame to just add 20 percent tip unless you let customers know.
My advice to owners, this is not a way to treat your customers, gratuity is a choice based on service and happiness of customers.
I am a very good tipper and have tipped people 20 to 30 percent of my bill, however I don’t like being cheated by anyone!

Today was my first time at the restaurant and everything was beyond amazing! I drove maybe 40 mins just to eat there because of all of the good reviews and it did not disappoint. I ordered the NY strip steak and it was cooked perfectly how I wanted it. Definitely will go back in the near future!

If there was lower than a full star that’s what I would give this mediocre place. Not sure how they advertise Italian food when it taste nothing like Italian ! Cheap food, small portions, overly priced. The chicken piccata that you order and pay $ 19+ dollars for 3 or 2 pice your better of going to McDonald’s and ordering the 4 pice chicken nuggets for $ 1.30 off the dollar menu that’s about the size of the chicken your gonna get ! This place is honestly a hit or miss each time never consistent nor considerate to your needs. The staff was amazing the manager /​owner was the biggest cheap ass I’ve ever seen. Save your self the time and money go somewhere else and learn from my experience take in mind I’ve been there many times even back when they had there smaller location. I was a regular, There food was good at a time, take in mind How I said *time * seems as each year goes by so do the quality Who ever rates this place 5 stars is probably related to the owner or a friend of his or simply doesn’t know the difference between good fresh clean food.

Ordered «Penne Piccata» with added grilled chicken. The penne was not cooked el dente and instead severely overcooked and soggy. The chicken was hard as a rock and absolutely impossible to swallow. Gotta give it to them for the sauce which tasted pretty good. sent my dish back for a replacement of the same thing. Very friendly manager came and admitted to the chicken being stale but offered me Fettucine or Linguine pasta instead of the penne they could not prepare again for me. I requested Linguine and they came back with Fettucine. An Italian restaurant that does not know their pastas is a red flag for me. But to be fair, The almond chicken is very good — hence the 2 stars.

There are many renowned Italian restaurants in downtown Dearborn, and with a rather generic name like «L.A. Bistro» I wasn’t expecting this place to be head and shoulders above the others.
Given the location, I expected problems with parking, but they have some dedicated spots, and there wasn’t an issue finding a spot near dinner time. Plus you don’t have to pay to park in West Dearborn any more, so that’s a definite plus.
The staff were all quite pleasant when we arrived, even before I told them we hadn’t been there before. The waiter was patient and knowledgeable explaining the menu to myself and my companion. Since we were both in a seafood kind of mood, I ordered the lemon garlic cream sauce and my companion ordered the spicy marinara. She asked if the kitchen could swap fettuccine instead of the penne, and they were quite happy to accommodate.
Both dishes were fantastic! They were generous with the seafood, the lemon garlic cream sauce was delicious without drowning out the flavors of the pasta, and the spicy marinara lived up to its name. I don’t think I would have changed either dish if I could.
The service continued to be delightful, with frequent water refills, appropriate frequency of checking up on the table to see if we needed anything else, and no pressure to pay-​and-​get-​out once we finished eating. A gentleman who appeared to be a manager also stopped by the table to ask about our overall experience.
I always say that my reviews aren’t valid if I can’t give the restaurant something to improve upon, so I will say that the bread wasn’t really much to write home about. It was pita bread style, which I normally adore, but it was oddly sweet and definitely overcooked/​hard instead of soft and pillowy. I wasn’t impressed with the flavor, but that might be a nuance of my specific palette.
Overall, I thought this restaurant was an excellent bargain for what ended up being a wonderful «date-​night» restaurant, and the entire experience leaves me wanting to go back and try one of their chicken or bolognese dishes.

Usually don’t have an issue here at LA since their food is normally pretty good. Not only were the girls around me being taken care of more than my guest and I but my food was terrible. The David Allen pasta is my go to dish, except this time the sauce was almost completely like water (the sauce spilled all over my back seat). It had absolutely no flavor and my salad had near no dressing at all, as if I’m eating plain lettuce. Customer service has always been rather terrible and most customers usually got used to that. The establishment seems only to hire men which was always odd to me.

Cheap food… small portion… overly priced nothing special on the menu everything consist of the same thing .save your money and just eat at home. Never step foot in that place.

The best restaurant I’ve ever been to! Service is amazing. The food is top of the line and inexpensive & we got our food within 10 minutes of ordering! Had a team dinner here per a colleague’s recommendation. Enjoyed really great service for mediocre food. The venue does not serve alcohol and does not know how to make bruschetta (received thick 3.5″ pieces of bread with red peppers; very unusual). Lemon chicken soup was quite bland.
Best of all: got food poisoning from the pasta.
I strongly recommend going to another venue. Will not be returning to this establishment.

Service and food top notch. Almond chicken was awesome. These waiters and waitresses here hustle. So many great menu items. We will be back to try more!

We’re here in town for a couple of days and this is our second visit in 3 days. The food here is just amazing. We have had a variety of selections and everything was delicious.
My personal favorite, the Lemon Rice Chicken soup, the Almond Crusted Chicken, the Sami special, and the Caesar Chicken Wrap.
There’s quality in every dish. You can tell that the chef & owner took time to create the menu. You taste the delicious ingredients it in every bite.
There’s also something to be said about an owner that takes personal pride in his establishment. I saw the owner personally greeting patrons, and he greeted us as well with such warmth that truly made us feel welcome.
Will always stop here on our future visits.

Came to LA bistro with a group of 6 friends and their kids. The place is nice and clean. The service was friendly and quick. We arrived at 8.15. The kitchen closes at 8 but when we called ahead they said they’d keep it until 8.30, which was nice. The food was average: I didn’t have much time to look into the menu, I got the spicy chicken wrap. It was huge, and came with potato wedges and salad. Overall average experience.

This place is a workday luncheon staple in Dearborn. Can’t beat the prices or the awesome food! You get so much for under $ 10 including a delicious salad and bread to start prior to your main dish. Usually pretty busy during lunch hours but the staff is attentive and turnover is relatively quick. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good value and food to match!

If I could give a Big Fat Zero ever
I would. This place has the worst customer service ever. Unbelievable… that they are still open. I walk in with mom and brother after my sons graduation. Without being acknowledge we were told to sit down. A group of six were seated and we were told someone would be with us. After a 5 min wait someone finally came towards us and pulled out an IPad mini. He proceeded to add us to a list sarcastically saying there will be a 30 min wait. After this I stood up and told mom lets go somewhere else. He barked at me literally, yelled and said, «What’s wrong u can’t wait? Do you act like this at any restaurant you go too?» I was So shocked and the other patrons were in Awe at what they had just observed! Looking at this piece of nothing employee yelling at a potential client for not wanting to stay and wait. I didn’t reply, but my mom said we don’t want to wait. Others before us didn’t wait on a list. The restaurant was only half empty!!!
When you want to run a restaurant you have to have good management not some farmer fresh off the boat who doesn’t know how to talk to people. I will campaign to have nobody ever enter this place due to how they treated me and my family! What an insult and embarrassment! Disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourselves…

Always impressed with this place. I am always hosting out of town guest and this is always my go to place because they do it right every time. Great representation of our beautiful downtown Dearborn Area.
The owner Suhail is always very welcoming and the staff is so attentive to our needs. I would highly recommend this place. We are here tonight with a group of 20 people and everyone is happy because the menu satisfies everyone. One suggestion, please add a hamburger to the menu.

I have been coming here for years. LA is well known around town even from the old days at their old location. I can’t think of many negatives to share with you about this place. The staff is extremely professional in comparison to competitors in the area. It’s almost overwhelming (the professionalism) only because I’m so used to «ya cuz» and «ok bro» from the Dearborn area.
Super clean place and very well put together. Diverse menu.
My one complaint! The wife has a peanut allergy and although MOST items state all the ingredients, not all of them do. They use pesto in almost everything, which is fine but the Eggplant Parmesan (delicious BTW) doesn’t mention pesto! Good thing we asked. They made arrangements and still made her the food, minus the pesto.
I continue to come here. Fairly priced. Must try at least once!

Excellent place to dine with friends or family and the food is halal serving Lebanese, Mediterranean and Italian food! I was visiting from Cleveland and a friend suggested it, will definitely be back and the service was wonderful.
