I have only been here twice but I am looking forward to going again. On Wednesday they have Turkey burgers and there is something special about this sandwich. The sauce, the seasoning, all of it is so delicious. I have also had their soup, salad and veggie sandwich and that was all very good. The people that work there are very friendly and fast. I go in for lunch while working and I am always there and back within an hour.

The lemon chicken is a go to favorite and is always on point. I’m not too big on veggies but the stir fry is definitely an exception. Can’t wait to try another tasty meal here. The only problem is getting there while they are open!

We’ve been meaning to eat here for years… we don’t live in Michigan, so going to M & M required work. We were in Dearborn for three weeks and finally got to eat at M & M Café. Wow — we have been missing out for years. The food is superb. The menu is not extensive. Check out the daily specials. Soup is incredible. My husband’s favorite was the bean, mine was potato. The chicken is incredible. Anything that includes vegetables is great. Don’t know what they do to make the veggies, but they are perfect. The dressing on the salad is incredible. This is not the restaurant to go to if you want Ranch dressing. They only have one kind of dressing… no sugar or salt added. It is perfect. And before you leave, get rice pudding. We went there three times in three weeks, each time taking rice pudding home with us to eat later. Warning — opened 11 to 7 Monday through Friday. They only take cash. But the meals are so reasonable, cash is no big issue. And no liquor. Elaine(the owner, along with her husband Maurice) is very nice. Nothing seem to faze her. This is our new go-to for great food in Dearborn.

They only take cash and it takes forever for the food to arrive. The servers are friendly overall and the food is ok too. I dont know if its worth that long a wait. Probably easier to call ahead and order a pick up.

CARRYOUTREVIEW — After I got to taste a co-workers hummus yesterday, I decided to go for lunch today. Per their suggestion, I got the small Greek salad and the hummus with extra veggies for dipping(hold the bread). I usually pack my lunch, and now that I have tried them they are on my list as a treat, or else I would go at least twice a week! The salad is so crispy and fresh, with BIG hunks of feta. It was mixed greens with onions, feta, beets, ripe tomato, and cucumbers. There was a spiced olive mix on the side that was really tasty too. It had green olive with celery and carrots and some spice I can’t figure out, but it is GOOD. And the hummus… that was a meal on it’s own. I asked for extra veggies, and they loaded me up. So much so I could have just ordered the hummus and fresh veggies for my lunch, and I would have been fine. I am so glad my co-workers shared their hidden lunch carry-out gem in this area. I am definitely a fan!

Not impressed. I ordered the lemon chicken due to all the positive reviews. The chicken itself was cook perfectly but the dish lacked flavor. It was greasy and had no lemon as far as I could tell. My meal came with soup. I chose the tomato basil. Also underseasoned. The service was the saving grace of this place and inspired me to change 2 stars to 3. Upon paying my bill, I was offered another item to replace the tomato basil soup I didn’t eat. I haven’t tried the lentil soup yet. However, the gesture was much appreciated and is the reason I will give this place another shot.

I used to go her sporadically when I lived in Dearborn. The food is pretty good. A mixture of Italian, Mediterranean, and American food. The dine in service is pretty inconsistent, ranging from basic to downright rude(and I’ve waited tables before so I think I know a little thing or two about service). I’m pretty sure its the same waitress there everytime. The last time I dined in was especially bad. Maybe I caught her on an «off» day, but man no need to be that rude. She was basically taking care of just me and another table, its not like she was busy. I ask her about the bean soup(I just wanted to know if it was navy bean or black bean btw) and she rolls her eyes, clucks her tongue and goes«Its bean soup! You know with beans in it!!». «Yeah thanks» Then she literally(used correctly) threw my utensils on the table and walked away. Of course when she gave me the bill(tip time!) she was all smiles(yeah I still tipped her). As far as the food goes, the only thing I’ve tried her was the lemon chicken, which was pretty good. The soups and salads are pretty good too, I’d choose the soups over the salad. Overall, pretty solid restaurant but I’d recommend getting takeout.

M and M café has been a favorite diner of our family for over twenty years. It seems everyone is a regular as the owners Elaine and Maurice know and address most customers by name. The Food is a combination of Middle Eastern and classic American diner fare and is always excellent. Service is always prompt and courteous. If we still lived in Dearborn we would eat there weekly but, we still manage to get there every month or so.

I have been going to M and M café for over a dozen years. They have a very unique menu of Mediterranean and Eastern European dishes. The lemon chicken and Shish Kafta are their specialties. Very very clean and great service consistently. They are directly across from city hall on Michigan Avenue.

I have been eating at M&M for 21 years and ther are customers that have been going there much longer. There are customers that eat there everyday. Yes it is a hidden gem in Dearborn that when you try it once you will be hooked. Quality daily specials at very reasonable prices. Excellent home made soups and salads. Daily specials like crab cakes, salmon patties, curry shrimp, meat loaf and possibly the best turkey burger around metro Detroit. All dinners served with either rice, salad and or very fresh grilled vegtables. Better than going home to eat. Cash only!

I got that lemon chicken tunnel vision. There is no question that the lemon chicken is outstanding. The sauce is delectable. Yes, I said delectable. I am a going out to eat for lunch snob. I have been just about everywhere. I could not believe that I was unaware of this food oasis. On my next, very soon, visit I plan on trying a different entrée in order to escape this lemon chicken tunnel vision that I am currently diagnosed with. Oh, and by the way, they got parking, which can be a deal breaker here in Dearborn. Love, Chicken Tunnel Visioner

Excellent local café. Great soups and plenty of fresh made choices. Many dishes with a mid eastern flair, like kaftas and such. But also other gems like beef stroganoff, fresh whitefish. One note of caution, they don’t accept credit cards! Also their pop is served in cans, no fountain service.

I went lunch there yesterday for my very first time. I had the lemon chicken dish and comes with soup and bread. The chicken and rice is amazing. I will definitely take my co-works at this place next week.

After reading the great reviews on Unilocal I had to come in and sample it for myself. Not really too much new to say but much thanks for the tip and here is my two cents for the record. Lemon chicken seems to be a universal fave but I was skeptical about it. I am not usually a chicken cutlet lover but I did trust the people who have said it was worthy. This was a delightful surprise. Juicy with nicely prepared mushrooms and one of the best lemon butter sauces I have tasted. My friend got a greek salad that was absolutely beautiful and tasted every bit as good as it looked. Crisp greens and really delicious beets. It definitely was not the straight out of a can type beet. The veggies were plentiful and the dressing had a just right snap to it, homemade for sure. The atmosphere is cozy and laid back, the staff efficient and warm. Easily missed on Michigan Ave, it is worth the patience to look. It will be crowded but go ahead and wait. A place like this is a rarity.
