AADD describes its organization as «Atlanta’s foremost nonprofit provider of support services to families living with developmental disabilities.» And one of the ways it helps those it serves is by accepting donations, like office furniture(but check out their site for a complete list of stuff you can donate). I scheduled an appointment in February for a pick-up at the end of May. Unfortunately, we forgot about Memorial Day being a holiday; but AADD remembered as the pick-up date approached, and before the Memorial Day weekend, they promptly rescheduled the original pick-up date . I got a friendly phone reminder from AADD on the day of the pick-up before the truck arrived. The guys who stopped by were all work, no play, but friendly and accommodating. My in-kind donation receipt even came in a clear, water-proof bag to hang on my front door if necessary(a smart idea for a rainy-ish day like my pick-up date). Thanks, AADD!
